FREDERICTON, Nov 13 (LSN) The new Morgentaler abortuary was fittingly greeted at its opening yesterday by its neighboring junior school bereft of children. The culture of violence and death spawned by abortion and the concomitant disregard for human life has led to countless deaths and recently to retaliation and counter-attacks. The Canadian Press reported yesterday that, citing concern for safety, George Street Middle School was emptied and businesses surrounding the abortion mill gave employees permission to stay away.

CARROLLTON, GA, Nov 13 (LSN) – Neal Horsley, the creator of a controversial web site featuring the names of abortion providers was sent a letter claiming to contain the deadly biological agent anthrax on Tuesday.  Horsley, a father of three, turned the letter in to police and was decontaminated by hazardous chemical specialists.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution also noted that two Catholic parishes in Indianapolis and Cheektowaga,  N.Y., as well as the Chicago office of the Pro-Life Action League received similar letters Monday. Most of the letters were post marked from Fort Worth Texas.

BOSTON, Nov 13 (LSN) Scientists at Advanced Cell Technology of Worcester, Mass., announced yesterday that they had created a “master cell” by combining a human cell with a cow egg. The researchers said that the procedure would be used to grow replacement body tissues. NEW YORK, Nov 12 (LSN) New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani sought to ban striptease clubs from the city by outlawing all “adult” clubs from most neighborhoods. However, one such den of iniquity has skirted the new regulations by inviting children to the establishment. BIRMINGHAM, England, Nov 12 (LSN) Britain’s second largest city has scrapped “Christmas” in favour of “Winterval.” Birmingham city council is responsible for the change announced Monday. Reuters reported that an attempt by the same council five years ago to call its Christmas lights “festive lights” was scrapped following local protest.

WINNIPEG, Nov 12 (LSN) Mrs. Helene Sawatzky and her family entered the first stage of a court battle yesterday to fight the imposition of a “do not resuscitate” (DNR) order on the file of her 79-year-old husband Andrew. The hospital gave as a reason for its action that should Mr. Sawatzky become in need of resuscitation, the procedure although it may keep him alive may leave him in a vegetative state. The Sawatzky’s lawyer asked Justice Holly Beard to lift the DNR order until the case could be heard in court.  The judge’s decision on this preliminary matter will come […]
