PLANNED PARENTHOOD AND ACLU AGAINST THE PEOPLE

DENVER, Colorado, Dec 23 (LSN)  The largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, a number of abortionists and the American Civil Liberties Union teamed up Tuesday to combat the will of the people in Colorado. They were fighting legislation that would require that parents be given notice before their grandchildren are aborted. NEW MOVES IN EFFORT TO LEGALIZE HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE IN CANADA

MONTREAL, Sept 15 (LSN)  Yesterday, Michael Hendricks, a well-known gay rights activist in Montreal, and his homosexual partner Rene Leboeuf, filed a complaint with the Quebec human rights commission about the discrimination in law they claim prevents them from being married. KEVORKIAN WILL GO TO TRIAL FOR MURDER

WATERFORD, Michigan, Dec 9 (LSN)  After a preliminary hearing today Michigan District Court Judge Phyllis McMillen has ordered euthanasia activist Jack Kevorkian to stand trial for first-degree murder,  assisted suicide, and delivering a controlled substance in the death of Thomas Youk. A copy of the tape showing the murder which was aired on CBS’s “60 Minutes” was shown at the hearing. In her comments the judge noted that “The intent to kill was premeditated and thought out beforehand.”

HUMAN CLONING IN BRITAIN?

LONDON, Dec 9 (LSN)  A group of scientists hired by the British government to review the country’s policy on cloning released their report yesterday in which they urge the government to drop their strong stand against human cloning. While not agreeing to allow full cloning of human beings, the group recommended Britain allow human cells to be cloned. Pro-life groups reacted immediately condemning the report since the material used for the cloning of human cells comes from aborted embryos.  In a related story Japanese researchers reported yesterday that they have cloned an adult cow and produced 8 genetically identical calves.

MOST CANADIAN DOCTORS WILLING TO ASSIST SUICIDES?

TORONTO, Dec 8 (LSN)  A survey of Canadian physicians engineered by the Medical Post, a weekly newspaper geared to doctors, and conducted by the Angus Reid group claims most doctors are willing to assist in suicides. The National Post reported yesterday that the poll indicated that “52% of doctors said they would be inclined to participate in physician-assisted suicide if it were legal under strictly defined circumstances.” The survey also claims that “42% believe young female patients should have access to abortion services without parental knowledge or consent.”

ATLANTA, Dec 4 (LSN)  Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported there were 1,221,585 babies aborted legally in the U.S. 1996, an increase of over 10,000 from the 1995 figure of 1,210,883. 2.5 MILLION ABORTIONS IN RUSSIA IN 1997

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (LSN)  Citing Health Ministry figures, Interfax news agency reported Sunday that approximately 2.5 million abortions were committed in Russia in 1997. The figures also indicated that two out of every three women who have their children aborted suffer from health complications as a result.  The situation is pathetic considering 70 per cent of babies conceived are killed by abortion and this in a country where the number of abortions is said to have fallen by 25 per cent in the past four years.
