WILL LIBERALS USE BUDGET TO INTRODUCE SAME-SEX PENSION BENEFITS?

OTTAWA, Feb 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – The Ottawa Citizen reported today that same-sex pension benefits may be included in the federal budget being presented this week. The federal government did not appeal the Rosenberg ruling which charged that it was discriminatory against homosexuals not to allow same-sex couples to collect pension benefits, so it is under pressure to amend pension legislation accordingly. Introducing such reforms in the budget, however, is seen by many pro-family forces as an underhanded way of pushing them through since it raises the stakes significantly for Liberal backbenchers who oppose such changes. ABORTIONS RISING IN ASIA

ASIA, Feb 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – Abortions are rising in Russia again and the declining economy is being blamed. A weekend report by the U.S.-based Pro-Life Infonet reveals that a phenomenal 2.5 million unborn children were killed. This, nevertheless dwarfs the 3.5 million deaths in 1992. At this rate, however, twice the number of children were aborted than born alive. According to available, data nearly 40% of Russian abortions result in complications which require antibiotics or hospital treatment. This is further evidence of the false nature of the mantra of the pro-abortion lobby that legal abortion is synonymous with safe abortion. […]
