KEVORKIAN WILL NOT STARVE HIMSELF

DETROIT, Michigan, Apr 16 (Lifesitenews.com) – Assisted-suicide and euthanasia activist Jack Kevorkian, who after he was sentenced Tuesday bragged that he would starve himself to death, has backed down from his threat. Kevorkian had told a reporter, “I know they are going to force-feed me, but my captivity is still enslavement, and I am not going to go along with it.” However the same day prison officials noted that the force feeding policy at the prison had been dropped by coincidence that very day. Kevorkian’s lawyers complained immediately that the change in policy was done to target Dr. Death. Kevorkian […]

PRO-LIFE GROUPS PREPARE FOR POPULATION PROPAGANDA

MERRILVILLE, Indiana, Apr 16 (Lifesitenews.com) – Preparing for the onslaught of pro-population control propaganda expected for the upcoming “Day of Six Billion,” pro-life groups have begun to encourage pro-natalist attitudes. Despite the recent demographic reports of alarming de-population around the world forecasting imminent social security nightmares, population control groups are refusing to back down from their overpopulation mythology. The UN has arranged for October 12, 1999 to be commemorated as the “Day of Six Billion” as the world’s population is expected to reach this level sometime this year. Speaking at high schools across the US, Jim Sedlak, director of Stop […]

POPULATION CONTROL PEDDLERS SPREADING AIDS IN AFRICA?

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – In startling reports coming out of Africa yesterday it was revealed that about 2.4 million Kenyans are HIV-positive and 24,000 have AIDS, while in Nambia last year 12,700 people were diagnosed with HIV bringing that country’s total HIV-positive count to 53,300. Various population control agencies, principally the United Nations Population Fund, International Planned Parenthood and USAID are largely responsible for the spread of the epidemic, charge population control critics, through the aggressive promotion of the West’s liberalized sex culture in developing countries.  For more see today’s LifeSite Special Report.

KEVORKIAN TO STARVE HIMSELF TO DEATH

PONTIAC, Michigan, Apr 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – Assisted-suicide/euthanasia advocate Jack Kevorkian, who was sentenced on Tuesday to 10-25 years in prison has reissued his threat to starve himself to death. Oakland Press quoted Kevorkian Wednesday saying, “I know they are going to force-feed me, but my captivity is still enslavement, and I am not going to go along with it.”  Ironically, the jail has just changed its policy and now forbids the force-feeding of prisoners. Upon learning of the no-force-feeding policy, Kevorkian lawyer Mayer Morganroth immediately complained that the policy was put in place to target Kevorkian. “Isn’t that assisted suicide?” […]

CHEMICAL ABORTION IN CANADA?

CALGARY, Apr 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – It seems some people believe the debate over chemical abortion methods in Canada is over. An article in yesterday’s Calgary Herald said that the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons will decide Friday whether to restrict permission to administer abortion drugs to doctors in abortuaries and hospitals equipped to carry out surgical abortions. Since surgical intervention is considered necessary in cases where the drugs fail, the College is concerned that private doctors’ offices are not equipped to handle possible complications. Calgary abortionist Ted Busheikin has applied to the College for permission to use the methotrexate […]

FEDS ARGUE AGAINST CHILD PORN

VANCOUVER, Apr 15 (Lifesitenews.com) – Lawyers for the federal government submitted written arguments yesterday in the B.C. Court of Appeal to fight Justice Duncan Shaw’s controversial legalization of the possession of child pornography. Judge Shaw raised a national firestorm several months ago when he concluded (on the bases of only two ‘studies’ submitted in the case) that “there is no evidence that the production of child pornography will be significantly reduced if simple possession is made a crime.” With extensive evidence to the contrary, federal lawyer Judith Bowers noted that pornography “fuels the sexual fantasies of pedophiles and will lead […]

UN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION PUSH FOR ABORTION

UNITED NATIONS, Apr 14 (Lifesitenews.com) – At the UN yesterday the United Nations Commission on Human Rights made a special request to discuss the “integration of the human rights of women and the gender perspective.” UN feminist radicals praised the move since it is especially geared to promoting reproductive health rights, including abortion. A UN Population Fund representative at the meeting claimed that “the individual’s right to reproductive health, including the right to decide the size and spacing of one’s family, was now accepted as part of the framework of human rights.” Bashir Muntasser went on to suggest that “the […]

OREGON SLIPS INTO LEGAL EUTHANASIA

PORTLAND, Ore, Apr 14 (Lifesitenews.com) – An investigation into a case of euthanasia in Oregon led to a finding that the “help” in the administration of lethal doses of drugs conformed to Oregon law. Lou Gehrig’s disease patient Patrick Matheny had applied for, and received, lethal drugs under Oregon’s assisted suicide law but he could barely swallow them so he was given “help” to die by his brother-in-law Joe Hayes. According to the March 29 Weekly Standard, Coos County district attorney Paul Burgett found that Matheny’s death did not violate the state’s law. Further, Burgett noted that it would be […]

SCIENTISTS WARN OF EUGENICS NIGHTMARE WITH GENETIC SCREENING

LONDON, Apr 14 (Lifesitenews.com) – Last week in the Journal of Medical Ethics, scientists warned that advances in genetic screening could “be the logical next step towards high-tech eugenics.” Dr Wolfram Henn,  of the Institute of Human Genetics in Homburg-Sarr in Germany described the latest technology saying DNA silicon-chip technology can scan up to 400,000 DNA sequences in just a few hours. The scientists warned that although the chips are currently used to develop treatments for genetic disorders they could easily be used to screen for undesirable traits in human embryos prior to implantation with in vitro fertilization. While pre-implantation […]
