WASHINGTON, June 29 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Studies released yesterday indicate that on average US children are in front of television or video screens four-and-a-half hours per day. The studies by the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania also indicated that almost half of 2-17 year olds have a TV in their bedrooms. Three quarters of “children’s”  shows are improperly rated and many contain scenes inappropriate for children. Moreover a large majority of parents seem oblivious to the television rating system.

PHILADELPHIA, June 29 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Marie Noe plead guilty yesterday in the smothering of 8 of her infants between 1949 and 1968. Noe, now 70, was given no jail time, but must remained confined to her home for the first five years of her twenty year probation. Her light sentence was explained by a deputy district attorney who said that a study of her case by psychiatrists would be of great significance.

Zenit news reported yesterday that directives from the British Medical Association have taken effect giving doctors powers to decide over life and death.
