INFANTICIDE INVESTIGATION AT CHRIST HOSPITAL

CHICAGO, Sept 30 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Chicago area hospital is under investigation after pro-life groups alerted authorities to abortion procedures which often leave babies alive after which they are refused treatment, food and water until their deaths. Abortionists admitted that the procedure called induction of labour does take place – and is practiced throughout the US – but they stress it was a “rare” abortion procedure and used when the fetus has a severe genetic defect or the mother’s life is in danger.  A nurse on the delivery ward alerted authorities to the procedure and the Illinois Department of Public […]

ANOTHER CHILD PORNOGRAPHER CHALLENGES LAW IN CANADA

WINNIPEG, Sept 29 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Garry Michael Geisel, 56, argued in court this week that his criminal charges for photographing children 14 and over engaged in sex is discriminatory against the children. While one of the girls he is charged with photographing is under 14, Geisel argues that the others all under 18 should have the right to pose for pornographic photos since Canadian law allows legal sex at 14.  Provincial court Judge Linda Giesbrecht found Geisel guilty but has reserved sentencing since Sharpe’s Charter challenge remains unresolved. The court will resume hearings October 28.  With files from Canada.com

WASHINGTON, Sept 29 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The US Supreme Court announced yesterday that it would hear an appeal in the case of a Colorado law barring all pro-life activity within 100 feet of abortion facilities. In February the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the statute prohibiting the free distribution of leaflets, the display of signs, and the expression of educational, counseling, or protest speech near medical facilities in the state of Colorado did not unduly hamper First Amendment free-speech rights.  Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice, is representing three pro-lifers in the case. HALIFAX, Sept 29, (LifeSiteNews.com) – This week the New England Journal of Medicine discusses the ethics involved in testing an experimental treatment for Parkinson’s disease involving the injection of brain tissue from aborted babies into the brains of Parkinson’s patients. The research has been plagued with the ethical nightmare around the use of aborted baby parts and is now embroiled in the controversy over its handling of “control group” subjects in its experiments.
