UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO PROF ATTACKS MOTHER TERESA

TORONTO, Sept 3 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Clifford Orwin, a professor of political science at the University of Toronto, wrote in the National Post Wednesday, criticizing Mother Teresa. Orwin camouflaged his attack by giving undue voice to the ravings of Christopher Hitchens, author of the book “The Missionary Position” and the so-called documentary “Hell’s Angel”, both on Mother Teresa. Orwin says that “everything about [Mother Teresa] reeked of sectarianism and intolerance.” “Her Nobel Peace Prize was a travesty, as confirmed by her speech accepting it, which dwelled on the evils of abortion,” continued the obviously pro-abortion Orwin. ANTI-FAMILY CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED IN BRITAIN

LONDON, Sept 3 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A propaganda campaign was launched in Britain today which claims to fight “homophobia”. Billed as the “first mass media campaign in the country to target homophobia,” the initiative is called: “It’s Prejudice That’s Queer.” The press release from THT attempted to steer clear of controversy by defining “homophobia” simply as “prejudice or   discrimination against lesbians and gay men.” However, common definitions of homophobia include more. Michael Flood, a speaker pro-gay speaker on homophobia notes that “typical homophobic beliefs include the idea that homosexuality is unnatural, sick, perverse or dangerous, while heterosexuality is natural and […]

MAINSTREAM MEDIA REPORT ON CANADA’S ANTI-FAMILY MANIPULATION AT THE UN

OTTAWA, Sept 3 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Since 1994 and even earlier Campaign Life Coalition, a Canadian pro-life group, has been warning about the Canadian government’s manipulation at the United Nations: specifically that the government appoints, at its own whim, delegates to UN conferences without any regard to democratic process. Furthermore, these delegates have a reputation for pushing radical anti-life and anti-family agendas which would shock ordinary Canadians.  The mainstream media have until now been virtually silent on this phenomenon, however, this week the National Post broke the silence with a story by Edmonton Journal columnist Lorne Gunter.  For the full report […]

STUDY: MORE SUPPORT NEEDED AFTER MISCARRIAGE

LONDON, Sept 2 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A study conducted by researchers at Macquarie University in Australia and presented to the British Psychological Society on Thursday, found that 70% of women experiencing miscarriage wanted support, information and reassurance. The results of the study are in some ways similar to studies on post-abortion syndrome – a syndrome which most major psychological associations deny exists. The miscarriage study notes that women “wanted emotional back-up from their partners and to feel that they also ‘felt’ the loss.” Post-abortion syndrome counsellors note that the first step to healing the inner brokenness caused by abortion is acknowledging […]

SCOTLAND OFFERS ABORTIVE PILL FREE TO 85,000

LOTHIAN, Scotland, Sept 2 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Scotland plans to fund supplies of the “morning after”  abortifacient pill for more than 85,000 young women between the ages of 16 and 29. Dr Anna Glaister, the director of Lothian’s family planning service is behind the venture and claims that the effort is an attempt to lower the abortion rate. Pro-life groups have condemned the false advertising noting that the drug acts mainly as an abortifacient. The Electronic Telegraph reports that Catholic Church officials have also condemned the drug as no better than surgical abortion. Fr Tom Connelly, a spokesman for the Catholic […]

12 YEAR OLD GIRL WILL NOT ABORT BABY

SHEFFIELD, England, Sept 2 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A 12-year-old girl whose mother has pressured her to abort her baby told a newspaper that she refused her mother’s pleas to abort. Speaking of abortion the girl said, “it’s your baby, you can’t get rid of it like that.”  While the pro-life community rejoices that the girl has chosen not to kill the innocent child in her womb, it is very concerned to hear about sexual promiscuity among children as young as 12.  With files from Yahoo news.

LUTHERANS FOR LIFE RESPOND TO ABORTION DEBATE

NEVADA, IA, Sept 2 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Tuesday, Lutherans For Life (LFL) responded to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s decision to reaffirm its pro-abortion position at its recent Churchwide Assembly in Denver, CO on August 21. In their release LFL stressed that “the failure of the ELCA to take a definitive stance on abortion reflects neither the historical position of the Christian Church nor the historical position of Lutherans.” LFL reflected that the ELCA is “falling for Satan’s old trick of calling ‘evil good’ and ‘darkness light’,” and in doing so, “allows its members to become comfortable with a […]
