JUDGE IMPOSES HOMOSEXUAL ADOPTION IN ALBERTA

CALGARY, Nov 29 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Justice Peter Martin of Alberta’s Court of Queen’s Bench ruled Friday that same-sex adoptions were permissible despite provincial laws forbidding the practice.  The case involved a lesbian couple where both women used donor sperm to impregnate themselves via artificial insemination and requested adoption rights from the court.  The Alberta government abandoned its fight for the law in April leaving an intervenor in the case to try to uphold the law.  Alberta Federation of Women United for Families (AFWUF) was to argue the case until Justice Martin deemed “inadmissible” all relevant evidence submitted to the court […]

EAST TIMOR GENOCIDE – A REPLICA OF RWANDA’S

SYDNEY, Australia, Nov 24 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Recent news about ignored warnings leading up to the East Timorese massacre is a virtual reproduction of the long-reported news that the United Nations refused to intervene in the Rwandan situation despite being warned prior to the genocide of 800,000.  The London Telegraph reports today that leaked intelligence papers from the Defence Intelligence Organization of the Australian government indicate that the militia rampage that resulted in the slaughter of East Timorese was orchestrated by the Indonesian military to derail the independence vote and could have been predicted.  Michael Hourigan, an Australian lawyer specializing in […]

SINGLE CASE STUDY SAYS ABORTED BABY BRAINS HELP PARKINSON’S

LONDON, UK, Nov 23 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Swedish research team has made grandiose claims about the “sustained, marked clinical benefit” of using aborted baby brains to treat Parkinson’s Disease based solely on the investigation of one patient whose improvement is attributed to this treatment. While research on the subject has not shown definitive improvement or deficit from the fetal transplant treatment, claims of success based on a single case study are irregular in the scientific field.  The positive slant and exaggerated claims of success based on this one example are even more suspicious given that the team publishing this latest […]

MUNICH, Germany, Nov 23 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Thanks to the objection of the German province of Bavaria, the nationwide distribution of the chemical abortion drug RU-486 (known in Germany as Mifegyne) was halted. The mostly Catholic province objected that under German law abortion products must be distributed directly by the manufacturer, but in Germany, a company called Femagen, was to distribute the drug while it is manufactured by the French firm Exelgyn.  Agence France Press reported yesterday that Femagen said it would take the decision to court.  Meanwhile, in Cologne, Catholic bishop Joachim Meisner reminded listeners of the connection between the […]
