VATICAN SLAMS “DE FACTO” HOMOSEXUAL AND HETEROSEXUAL UNIONS

VATICAN, Nov 21 (LSN.ca) – In a 50-page document released yesterday by the Pontifical Council for the Family, addressed to priests and political leaders, the Vatican decries the legislative efforts to grant equal status to non-marital unions, including homosexual unions. The document promotes marriage between a man and woman as, “a free and permanent commitment to lifelong fidelity and mutual self-giving. It is that permanent bond, the document argues, that forms the ideal situation for child-rearing, and thus serves the public interest of society at large.” See the new document at:  https://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/family/documents/rc_pc_family_doc_20001109_de-facto-unions_en.html
