CANADA PUSHING FOR ICC RATIFICATION IN JORDAN

AMMAN, Dec 21, 2000 (LSN.ca) – Canada was a major sponsor of a lobbying effort in Jordan this week to get more nations to ratify the Rome Statute on the International Criminal Court. MEXICO CITY, Dec 21, 2000 (LSN.ca) – Outspoken pro-life Bishop Luis Reynoso Cervantes of Cuernavaca Mexico died Tuesday during back surgery. He was 74 years old. NEW ZOGBY POLL SHOWS 58% WANT PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION ILLEGAL

WASHINGTON, Dec 21, 2000 (LSN.ca) – A new Zogby American Values poll of 1,005 likely voters, conducted Dec. 15-17 shows 58% want the president to sign a bill banning partial birth abortion. SOUTH KOREA BILL TO BAN HUMAN EMBRYO EXPERIMENTS

SEOUL, Dec 20, 2000 (LSN.ca) – A government bill in South Korea proposes to ban human cloning completely. Church News reports today that the bill also prohibits medical and bioengineering research using human embryos, stressing that they should not be artificially reproduced except for reproduction.
