TOP UK DOCTORS CONCERNED ABOUT NEW REGULATIONS FOR WITHHOLDING TREATMENT

A letter published in today’s Daily Telegraph by some of the UK’s leading doctors, questions whether guidelines from the General Medical Council (GMC) on “Withholding and Withdrawing Life-Prolonging Treatments” are even legal. GENEVA, July 31, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The United Nations Human Rights Committee concluded its seventy-second session Friday and issued its final conclusions and recommendations on reports submitted to it by various countries including Guatemala. CANADIAN FAMILIES SEEKING REFUGEE STATUS IN US OVER RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION

AYLMER, ON, July 30, 2001 (LSN.ca) – CTV News has reported that the 100+ congregants of the Church of God in Aylmer, Ontario who fled Canada fearing retribution from child welfare officials, may seek refugee status in the United States claiming religious persecution. RUSSIA APPROVES 5 YEAR BAN ON CLONING HUMANS

MOSCOW, July 30, 2001 (LSN.ca) – On Friday the Russian government passed a temporary ban on human cloning to last for five years.
