SEX BOARD GAME FOR 13-16 YEAR OLDS IN UK SCHOOLS

LONDON, October 26, 2001 (LSN.ca) – A new board game targeted at 13 to 16-year-olds, is intended to teach children about “safe sex”. The game called “Contraception” was tested with students at various schools in the UK and the BBC reports that all schools can now purchase the game for use as part of their curriculum. Developed by Salford University lecturer Barbara Hastings-Astourian, the game board features a condom demonstrator, allowing practice of how to use this type of contraception. BELGIAN SENATE APPROVES EUTHANASIA

BRUSSELS, October 26, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The Belgian Senate voted Thursday, 44-23, to legalize euthanasia. The law, which took two years to make its way through the Belgian parliament’s justice and social affairs committees, is expected to be approved by the lower chamber of parliament in 2002. Passage will make Belgium the only country in Europe to follow the Netherlands in allowing euthanasia. PERTH, October 2, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The Australian Supreme Court Tuesday acquitted a Perth doctor who was charged with the willful murder of a terminally ill cancer patient. The patient’s brother and sister were also charged with murder. IVF CLINIC OFFERS FREE FERTILITY TREATMENT FOR EGG DONATIONS
