WASHINGTON, December 5, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Seven Senators have come out in favour of human cloning for research purposes. The LA Times reports that Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), plans to introduce legislation that would allow human cloning for research but not allow the clones to be born. Harkin said “it would be a very serious mistake” to bar cloning for research. OTTAWA, December 4, 2001 (LSN.ca) – While some of the G-20 protesters may have been upset with the destruction of a pro-life billboard during the Ottawa anti-IMF demonstrations, others clearly supported the action. Ottawa’s Algonquin College published a front-page article in its Algonquin Times newspaper featuring a student who had participated in the protest.
