WASHINGTON, June 3, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Bush administration is urging the Supreme Court to reject a politically charged abortion case that seeks free-speech protection for protesters who used “wanted” ads to target doctors.  The White House said it would prefer the court to let stand a previous ruling against pro-lifers “who list personal information about abortion clinic employees on the Internet and on posters.” The Supreme Court asked for the government’s views in the case in December and delayed acting on the appeal by activists who were ordered to pay nearly $110 million in punitive damages, according to reports.  […]

Newly elected state superintendent of education Jack O’Connell is credited with ordering a re-examination of the proposed policy, which had been gathering steam within the department.
