Church, Clergy Doze While Secularists Take Over America “Today, most ministers feel that it is better to convey a positive image without condemning or judging social trends or sins in our communities. This lapse of strong public guidance and criticism among the clergy has resulted in many religious people being confused and mislead about many key moral issues in our day.”“Many Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant leaders continue to support political leaders that condone and even support the abortion business that eliminates over a million babies a year. These same religious leaders refuse to take the moral high ground and address […]

Morgentaler Sues New Brunswick for Higher Profits

FREDERICTON, August 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Abortion kingpin Henry Morgentaler is finally suing New Brunswick, the CBC reports. The octogenarian abortionist has complained since last October about the province’s refusal to subsidize his highly profitable private abortion clinics with provincial tax dollars, a refusal he calls “sexist, male chauvinist and oppressive.”  In its defence, filed in the Court of Queen’s Bench, New Brunswick says “medically necessary” medicare abortions are sufficiently available in the province’s hospitals. New Brunswick funds abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, as long as two doctors sign off. The province also says compliance with the […]

Liberal MP Uses Race-Card to Bash Those Opposed to Homosexual ‘Marriage’

They belong to our families and in some cases raise children. They contribute to our communities and pay taxes. This government believes they should also have access to marriage. Toronto Priest Disturbed by ‘Gay Speak’ Seminar For Catholic School Teachers And Support Staff

TORONTO, August 7, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – One of the major reasons that Canadian opinion polls can show a surprisingly large percentage of Catholics to be in favour of homosexual ‘marriage’ is that the Catholic education system has for decades been heavily influenced by teacher and staff resource people who dissent from Catholic moral teaching. On the homosexual issue, therefore, most Catholic students over the past four or five generations have received very poor, if any, well-presented education on their faith’s actual teachings on the issue. Fr. Jim McManamy, of Precious Blood Parish in Scarborough, recently saw first-hand how the church’s […]

California School District Requires Parental Notice of Medical Appointments

SACRAMENTO, August 7, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The board of Roseville Joint Union High School District has voted to require parental notification of student medical appointments. The move upset liberals because it overturned a policy allowing confidential medical visits, including “reproductive health” such as contraception and abortion, during school hours.  Trustee Dean Forman, who supported the change, said allowing students to obtain medical treatment without their parents knowledge is a “crime against families. Let’s get rid of [the state] being in our business and tend to our own business as parents in our local jurisdiction,” he said.  Many parents were relieved. […]
