Irish Researchers Find Cannabis Linked to Infertility

BELFAST, March 31, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new study has suggested that smoking cannabis can damage male fertility. Researchers at Queen’s University, Belfast, have examined the effects on sperm of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. THC makes it more difficult for an individual sperm to penetrate the egg membrane. Researchers were alerted to the possible problems of THC in fertility when it was discovered that a large number of the men attending fertility clinics were heavy pot smokers.  The Irish government has reduced the illegality of cannabis, making it the equivalent of over-the-counter tranquilizers. Dr Sheena Lewis, from the […]

Statistics Canada Releases 2001 Abortion Stats: Rates Increase

OTTAWA, March 31, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Statistics Canada today released information that 106,418 babies were deliberately killed in their mothers’ wombs in the year 2001 in Canada. The numbers do not include chemical abortions by the abortion pill or the abortifacient morning-after pill or abortions by abortifacient ‘contraceptives’. The reported death toll is added to the more than two million killed since 1969. The statistics reveal that almost one-quarter of all Canadian pregnancies end in abortion, or, for every three babies born, one is killed.  Jim Hughes, President of Campaign Life Coalition told LifeSiteNews.com that “This is an alarming figure,” […]
