Students bring pro-life message to commuters on D.C. metro

While residents of the District were sleepily shuffling off to work this past Tuesday, still recovering from a heat wave that sucked the city dry last week, staff and interns from Students for Life of America braved the lingering humidity to bring morning commuters face to face with an almost 4 decade-old social injustice, the worst our nation has ever seen. Beginning as a Facebook invitation from an SFLA intern that quickly garnered support from the organization, Metro Missions grew from a following of just a handful of interns to almost the entire group of Missionaries for Life and SFLA […]

New Irish Supreme Court Appointee called the “Unjust Judge” by Pro-Life Advocates

New Irish Supreme Court Appointee called the “Unjust Judge” by Pro-Life Advocates by LifeSiteNews.com By Hilary White DUBLIN, July 28, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – This month’s appointment of High Court Judge Liam McKechnie to the Irish Supreme Court has alarmed some Irish pro-life advocates who have compared him to the “unjust judge” of the New Testament parable, who “neither feared God nor had respect for people.” The Life Institute’s Dr. Seán Ó Domhnaill cited McKechnie’s ruling in the 2007 “D” case of an anencephalic child in which barristers argued that the child did not deserve the protection of Ireland’s pro-life law […]

Norway shooter supported abortion for disabled babies

While the mainstream media attempts to paint Anders Behring Breivik, the terrorist bomber and shooter who killed over 76 people in Oslo last week, as a “fundamentalist Christian,” a 1,500 page document he wrote reveals not only that he did not consider himself a Christian believer, but that he was a mason, held such anti-Christian views as supporting abortion for disabled babies, and that he also hired a prostitute prior to his killing rampage.  The horrific death toll and monstrous methods employed by Breivik in his killing spree have been followed by outrageous attempts to paint him as a conservative […]

The ‘Respect for Homosexual Sex Act’?

President Barack Obama’s decision to endorse the derisively named “Respect for Marriage Act” demonstrates a rather concerning contempt by the President for pro-family Americans.  Even when given to one side of an argument a President doesn’t normally taunt Americans on the other side. The Act in question is an anti-marriage proposal in that it seeks to eliminate the Defense of Marriage Act – which in official White House web pages is pointedly referred to as “the so-called Defense of Marriage Act”. But let’s face reality.  The want for gay ‘marriage’ has very little to do with actual marriage – even […]

Al Franken’s attempt to embarrass Focus on the Family fails

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday for the incredibly named “Respect for Marriage Act” – the measure to repeal DOMA – Democrat Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota attempted to make a fool of Focus on the Family’s Tom Minnery for asserting that children in traditional households do much better in several respects than those in nontraditional households. Minnery had used data from a comprehensive, national HHS study to make the point that the traditional family model actually works pretty well, and that things tend to get screwed up majorly whenever it’s tampered with. The senator and former comedian took […]

A saint who had an abortion? – details revealed in newly released conversation

The Catholic Church considers abortion to be murder of an innocent human being, and an unspeakable evil – and so some people might be surprised that a woman who is being seriously considered for sainthood also had an abortion. New details have recently been released about the abortion that social activist and Catholic convert Dorothy Day, whose cause for canonization was opened by Pope John Paul II, underwent prior to her conversion. While it is public knowledge that Day had an abortion during her days as an agnostic and social radical, the activist tended to be private about the experience, […]

Sun News TV also had the guts to show the images in television – a rarity in Canada. Alissa’s passion about the use of graphic images comes from […]

What Planned Parenthood thinks is funny: wishing your child wasn’t born

A while back a European condom company released an advertisement that horrified pretty much anyone with a scrap of decency left. The ad shows a man with his young son in a grocery store. After the child repeatedly puts a bag of candy into the grocery cart, and his father repeatedly puts it back, the child breaks into a hysterical tantrum, throwing himself on the ground, and screaming at the top of his lungs. As the camera zooms in on the father’s exasperated face, two words come up on the screen: “use condoms.” The message is pretty clear: children are […]

For Planned Parenthood, pregnancy is an ‘epidemic’ only the government can cure

While we know that Planned Parenthood’s operational focus is on promoting its cash cow of abortion over against actually encouraging women to have their baby, a slip of the tongue today on NPR News shows what they really think of all those unplanned pregnancies. In a story by Julie Rovner about the cost of contraception for low-income women and whether the government ought to be funding it, Planned Parenthood’s senior director for medical services, Deborah Nucatola, made the following statement: “Half of all pregnancies that happen in the U.S. every year are unintended. And if we could prevent an epidemic […]
