Clothing business uses young girls in vulgar videos to raise money for Planned Parenthood, LGBT causes

COLUMBUS, Ohio, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – A clothing company has exploited girls as young as six to make obscenity-laden videos advertising its feminist, anti-Trump merchandise. is a T-shirt company that caters to consumers who support left-wing causes. The videos with the young girls appear on the company’s website alongside advertising photos with near-naked men. achieved notoriety in 2014 with a video entitled “Potty-mouthed Princesses.” In that advertisement, little girls ages 6 to 13 let loose a tirade of profanity-laden thoughts on such adult topics as wage disparity, sexual assault, and rape. is owned by Synergy Media, a for-profit marketing company. According to its website, FCKH8 “has raised over $280,000 for equality causes, arming thousands of people with pro-LGBT equality, anti-racism and anti-sexism T-shirts that act as ‘mini-billboards’ for progress.”

The company is now selling pink “pussy hats” and related T-shirts through a website called PussyScouts. In an online advertisement released yesterday, pre-pubescent girls in pink “pussy hats” and mock Girl Scout uniforms perform an obscenity-laced “rap” about Donald Trump.

(The video, which LifeSite cannot embed because of its graphic nature, is on YouTube here.)

“Oh, Scouts, oh, Scouts,” trills an elderly woman in a pink uniform, “ready for your song about President Trump?”

The camera cuts to an actor in a papier-mache Trump mask patting someone in a KKK uniform on the back.

The cheering girls begin their rap, alternating lines.

“Granny be droppin’ a beat that’s sick.

“We’re gonna rap about a prez who’s a sexist d***

“Ya call women ‘fat pigs,’ show us no respect.

“Try to grab my p***? You’re gonna get wrecked.”

(At this a snarling girl drives a fist into the palm of her fake fingernail-adorned hand.)

“Cuttin’ Planned Parenthood healthcare,

“An agenda more ****ed than your ****ed-up hair.”

(Here a girl makes an obscene gesture with both hands.)

“You said of ladies, you gotta ‘treat ‘em like ****

“Accused rapist, sex assault culprit.

“Like Princess Leia choked out Jabba the Hutt

“The Women’s March showed women’s mouths can’t be shut.”

“Super callous fraudster rapist sexist not my POTUS.

“Bull**** racist Muslim ban

“You’re loved by Nazis and the Ka-Ka-Klan … ”

Near the end of the video, an adult woman points to the pink “pussy hat” on her head, calling it “a powerful symbol of the fight for equality.” She encourages viewers to buy a similar hat or one of a line of T-shirts. A “Pussy Scout” hat normally retails for $14.99.

In American slang, the word “pussy” is both an archaic diminutive for a cat and an obscene expression for women’s genitalia. The pink hat, which also represents women’s genitalia, was adopted by anti-Trump activists at the pro-abortion “Women’s March on Washington” in January 2017. The U.S. president was recorded using the word in a lewd conversation in 2005. has produced another profanity-laced video for its own website. Here a stereotypical white American “Southerner” argues with children for the survival of the Confederate flag.

The advertisements are “disgusting and abusive,” Fiorella Nash, a mother of two young daughters, told LifeSiteNews. “Commandeering children for political causes is wrong whatever the cause. They have a right to be children.”

A veteran pro-life campaigner, Nash has traveled across the United Kingdom to build awareness of the worldwide “gendercide” against unborn baby girls. She believes that children don’t need lewdness to communicate confidence.

“I want my children, male and female, to grow up respectful, courteous, and capable of putting across a strong argument intelligently,” Nash said.

FCKH8 has future plans for the “Pussy Scouts.” According to its website, it will soon sell “Pussy Scout cookies.” Some of the cookies pictured resemble the “pussy hats.” Others are frankly modeled on female genitalia. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the cookies will go to Planned Parenthood.

Police remove young people praying the rosary at Reformation event in Catholic church

A woman shouts at young men praying the rosary during an interfaith service at a Catholic church.

LYON, France, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — For the fourth time in recent months, a group of youth singing the rosary interrupted an ecumenical service at a Catholic church.

Young Catholics gathered last Friday as faithful witnesses to pray at St. Irénée Church in Lyon duirng an interfaith service attended by the local Archbishop, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin.

A video capturing a brief portion of the incident shows the young men kneeling and singing as armed policemen assemble to remove them from the church.

The ecumenical service was the conclusion of commemorations of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, La Croix reported.

The Catholic Youth Movement of France and France Jeunesse Civitas conducted the disruption to “publicly repair this offense to God and his Church.”

“Catholic activists could not let this scandal go unpunished,” a translated post on the Civitas website said. “So we gathered in this church to denounce this sacrilegious meeting and pray to the rosary saint.”

“What a sad fact,” they said, “the religious authorities have abandoned almost all Catholic doctrine and let error invade our sacred places.”

The group’s post said all of the ecumenical participants had left before the rosary concluded, attributing this to the strength of the prayer. The report said some members of the group distributed an explanatory flyer while most sang the rosary on their knees, enduring “insults and mockery.”

“In 2017, when French Catholics pray in a church,” they said, “the police are sent on the spot to expel them with HKG36 machine guns.”

The La Croix article called the young people “nationalist and traditionalist Catholic youths” and reported that they had “shaved heads and black clothes” and “were shouting ‘Hail Mary’ loudly and repeatedly.”

According to La Croix, a representative from the Archdiocese of Lyon is considering reporting the incident to the French Bishops' Conference for advice on how to respond in the future.

It was the fourth such incident in France and elsewhere in Europe in the last three months, Church Militant reported.

In October in Brussels, Belgium, a dozen Catholics also prayed the rosary to interrupt a Protestant service at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula. That service was a commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation as well. Police removed the rosary protesters, most of them young people, after they delayed a Protestant minister’s sermon for 40 minutes.

Also in October, Catholic young people praying traditional Catholic prayers interrupted a Reformation celebration at Our Lady of White Mantles in Paris.

Video of the Paris incident shows hecklers harassing the prayer protesters, including making physical contact with them as they were kneeling and praying.

A fourth protest involved a Catholic church hosting a Muslim religious leader in November in the Archdiocese of Bordeaux. Catholics prayed the rosary to interrupt an interfaith gathering that included a speech from Imam Hassan Belmajou. According to Church Militant, the Imam has alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Parliament passes bill legalizing same-sex ‘marriage’ in Australia

Fr. Mark Hodges Fr. Mark Hodges
By Fr. Mark Hodges

SYDNEY, Australia, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The lower house of the Australian Parliament voted to legalize homosexual “marriage” today.

The Marriage Amendment Bill 2017 passed nearly unanimously, with only four members of Parliament voting “No.” Late last month, the Australian Senate passed the legislation.

Cheers erupted in the chamber and outside when the vote was announced. A majority of Australians considered the sanctioning of same-sex “marriage” a positive move.

“This is Australia: fair, diverse, loving and filled with respect,” Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said. “For every one of us this is a great day.”

The new law deletes “the union of a man and a woman” from the definition of marriage and inserts “the union of two people” in its place. Australia already had “equality” laws giving special status to homosexuals in the workplace, and for government benefits and tax laws.

Significantly, none of the promised amendments protecting freedom of conscience, religious liberty, and parental rights were allowed. All opposition concerns were defeated, including the right of parents to opt out of homosexual or transgender indoctrination in schools.

Specifically, the new law does not give allowances for Christian business owners to choose who they will employ based on their religious values, nor does it protect them from being forced to participate in homosexual weddings — despite their sincerely-held beliefs in one-man, one-woman marriage.

Also defeated were conscience and faith amendments to allow Christians and others disagreeing with gay “marriage” to be granted free speech.

The legislation now goes to the Governor-General Peter Cosgrove for “Royal Assent,” a formality expected any day.

Activists predicted the Australian passage will influence other countries to do the same. Influential Brooklyn gay activist attorney Evan Wolfson said the vote “will reverberate in the lives of people across Australia and the world.”

Other homosexuals admitted that their goal is much more than just the recognition of marriage. “People need to realize that marriage is a certain thing for a certain part of the community, but the real social mission behind all of this is equality,” actor/director Tristan Meecham said, without revealing the breadth or scope of his meaning of “equality.” He simply added, “There is a lot of work that still needs to be done.”

Christians and other traditional marriage advocates have expressed concerns that the gay agenda talks about fairness, anti-discrimination laws, and societal tolerance, but also fights for special rights, government endorsement, and societal approval.

The path to legalization came via a referendum sent through the mail to all registered voters. Nearly 62 percent of returned forms favored gay “marriage.”

Although the postal referendum was an end-around after 22 legislative attempts to legalize homosexual “marriage” failed, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the popular vote was the best avenue for a country to take. “Some countries have introduced it via the courts, some via Parliament, and others — Ireland and now Australia — by vote of the people,” Abbott said. “And that is the best way because it resolves this matter beyond doubt or quibble.”

Homosexuals “wed” elsewhere will have their “marriages” instantly recognized upon the Governor-General’s assent. Because Australian law requires a one-month notice of intention to marry, indigenous gays could have wedding ceremonies in the country as early as January.

Breitbart reveals Soros groups registering felons to oppose Moore in Alabama election

Natalia Dueholm Natalia Dueholm
By Natalia Dueholm

December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Breitbart news revealed that Soros-funded organizations have been working for months in Alabama to stop the election of conservative Christian Judge Roy Moore, the pro-life Republican candidate for U.S. Senate.

On December 12, Moore faces Democratic challenger Doug Jones, known for his radical pro-abortion stance. Breitbart claims that Jones is being backed by many American billionaire globalist George Soros’ organizations in the election. All of these groups strongly support abortion, LGBT, radical leftist agendas, and promote anti-Trump "resistance".

Breitbart revealed that Jones “is tied to some of the specific organizations associated with the drive to register felons” in Alabama. Among them is the Soros-funded Brennan Center for Justice. Jones also voiced support on his personal website of the Alabama-based Equal Justice Initiative, another Soros-financed group.

Breitbart identified the man spearheading the campaign as Pastor Kenneth Glasgow, who “successfully registered thousands of felons across Alabama in recent weeks.” Glasgow is the president of the Ordinary People Society (TOPS) and former leader of the radical Free Alabama Movement (FAM), which has worked with many radical left organizations, such as the Industrial Workers of the World and the Anarchist Black Cross Federation. He is not alone in his efforts to turn Alabama blue.

His strategy was possible thanks to a new law passed this year by the state legislature. As The Birmingham News reported, the bill “signed by Gov. Kay Ivey in May, cleared the way for thousands of felons to restore their voting rights.” The law does not allow every convicted felon to vote; there is a list of crimes whose commission makes the perpetrator ineligible. The list includes murder, rape, soliciting a minor, and drug trafficking.

The state of Alabama wasn’t required to inform the felons about the legal change, but numerous groups linked to the Democratic Party sued the state to force it to do so.

According to Breitbart, last year the Campaign Legal Center, as well as the American Civil Liberties Union of Alabama (ACLU), both Soros-funded, took legal action to force the state to inform convicted felons that they can vote. Over the last few months, they also have been registering people to vote in their legal clinics.

The ACLU has also worked with Glasgow’s TOPS and organized a Voter Rights Restoration training session in Alabama. Breitbart reported that the ACLU dedicated a special section on its web site to getting supporters to register for the Alabama senate race. The group also used Twitter to promote the voter registration drive in the state.

Other organizations, such as and the League of Women Voters of Alabama, also have been working to increase voter turnout. Both are heavily funded by Soros’ Open Society.

Glasgow, half-brother of the Rev. Al Sharpton and described by the New York Times as a “onetime criminal,” envisioned a decade ago that if convicts could vote, “There would be a lot of difference in our legislators, our elected officials and our presidents that we’ve had.” He said, “It would definitely change the political spectrum of Alabama.” Glasgow now hopes that people with criminal records “swarming the polls” can give the win to Jones.

The case of Virginia surely gives Glasgow grounds for optimism. In last month’s governor’s race, ex-felons voted after Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), close friend of the Clintons, had given them back their voting rights.  Democratic candidate Ralph Northam was voted into the governor’s mansion in Richmond, defeating the Republican.

Jones, former U.S. attorney, opposes the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and is open to a “public option” in healthcare. He supports same sex “marriage”, and opposes an abortion ban after the 20th week of gestation.

Moore is not shy about discussing God, reciting his own pro-life poetry, and quoting the Founding Fathers’ speeches. His defense of Alabama’s natural marriage law cost him his job as Alabama State Supreme Court Chief Justice. After easily winning in the primary, he was accused of improper sexual behavior, charges brought by the Washington Post, which he strongly denies.

Speaking to CNN, Janet Porter, a spokesperson for Moore called them “false accusations” and blamed the media for not investigating them.  She called Moore’s opponents "People who are out to get him because there is a Senate seat in play that has the Supreme Court in the balance."

Porter added, "Instead of with the lynch mob media, instead of the Democrat liberals, instead of the convicted felons that George Soros is registering to vote, I side with the man who stood for the Ten Commandments, for God, his principles and his impeccable character."

Major feminist group elects ‘transgender’ man as leader

Lianne Laurence Lianne Laurence Follow Lianne
By Lianne Laurence

QUEBEC, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Quebec’s largest feminist organization has elected a “transgender” biological male as its president.

The Federation des Femmes du Quebec, which represents some 300 feminist groups and about 700 individual members, announced Monday that Gabrielle Bouchard is its new leader.

The 49-year-old Bouchard is a “trans advocate and public educator” with Concordia University’s Center for Gender Advocacy. His Twitter handle is “Gabbi_unicorn.”

According to English-language reports, Bouchard faced backlash from Quebec press and online commentators on the grounds that a man can’t understand a woman’s experience, but that he dismissed the critics.

“They are saying we'll tolerate trans women as long as they are not in a position of power,” Bouchard told Canadian Press. “We’ll tolerate lesbians in the movement as long as they stand 10 feet away.”

The criticism “presumes all women live the same experience — which is not true,” he added.

“All the barriers I face are actually based in sexism. They also happen to be based in transphobia. I am living at the intersection of trans identity and being a woman, and it creates a marginalization that some women don’t face.”

But Campagne-Quebec Vie (Campaign Life Quebec) president Georges Buscemi has only noticed “an awkward silence in much of the media.”

Only the Journal du Montreal, “which is a kind of right-leaning paper,” is “trying to generate some kind of debate,” he told LifeSiteNews.

Journal du Montreal writer Denise Bombardier wrote two columns critical of Bouchard’s election.

“Who is this man who became a woman as an adult?” she questioned.

“How can she speak on behalf of all women, as someone who was raised in a masculine culture, ignoring the experiences that women have lived through since they were born?”

Buscemi also blasted Bouchard’s election.

“How much more do we need to prove that Western civilization has gone insane?” he told LifeSiteNews. “There’s a man at the head of the women’s association.”

He thinks most Quebecers agree with him, and that’s why local media are “tiptoeing” around the event.

His video commentary criticizing Bouchard’s election has generated mostly positive feedback on Facebook, Buscemi said.

Campaign Life Coalition, Canada’s national pro-life, pro-family political lobbying group, echoed Buscemi, tweeting that Bouchard’s election is the inevitable consequence of gender confusion.

The Federation des Femmes du Quebec that Bouchard now leads is pro-abortion.

Moreover, according to its website, the federation “aims to deconstruct and eliminate patriarchy and all the other systems of oppression or domination with which it is intertwined, such as capitalism, racism, imperialism, heterosexism, colonialism, capacityism and ageism that work together to marginalize and exploit women sexually, socially, economically, culturally, politically and religiously.”

Ohio women being offered unsafe abortion, health inspection records show

Pete Baklinski Pete Baklinski Follow Pete
By Pete Baklinski

COLUMBUS, Ohio, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Ohio abortion centers have received 149 health violations in the past six years for unsafe and unsanitary medical equipment as well as for not following protocols and policies meant to ensure the safety of women undergoing an abortion.

The shocking revelations come from a recent Columbus Dispatch investigation into inspection records of eight abortion businesses.

An oral-suction machine at one abortion center was found coated with a heavy layer of dust and dirt.

Operating room tables in another abortion center were found to be not operating in a “safe” manner.

Medical equipment was found past its expiration date.

One abortion center was found not following protocol for transferring patients to a local hospital in case of medical emergency.

Another one was found not following “medical-emergencies policy.”

The Columbus Dispatch used its findings to launch an attack on pro-life Republican Gov. John Kasich for the detail and frequency of abortion center inspections since becoming governor in 2011. The Dispatch reported that abortion centers “seemed almost exempt from state inspections” during pro-abortion Democrat Strickland’s four years in office prior to Kasich.

But Ed Sitter, executive director of Greater Toledo Right to Life, said that the health department should conduct inspections of abortion centers with more frequency.

“Twenty-seven ambulatory surgical facility clinics, including half of Ohio’s abortion clinics, are operating despite having expired licenses, according to the health department’s website,” he told the Dispatch.

“Oddly, that’s not a violation,” he said.

Archbishop: Politicians who say they’re pro-abortion and a good Catholic must be admonished

Lisa Bourne Lisa Bourne Follow Lisa
By Lisa Bourne

KANSAS CITY, Kansas, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Politicians who “flaunt” being Catholic while asserting that they are also pro-abortion are guilty of “misleading” other Catholics and must be admonished, said U.S. Archbishop Joseph Naumann in a recent interview.

Naumann, who was elected last month by his brother bishops over Cardinal Blase Cupich to be the next head of the U.S. bishops' pro-life efforts, said that openly pro-abortion “Catholic” politicians are “particularly problematic” for the bishops to deal with.

“We have an obligation to dialogue with that individual as much as possible. We want to presume his or her good will and that he or she is misinformed, and to get him or her to think more carefully and honestly about the issue,” he said in the interview with Catholic World Report

“Where it is particularly problematic is when we have Catholic politicians who flaunt their Catholicity, but take positions that our inconsistent with our Catholic teaching. This was the case with Kathleen Sebelius, who was our Kansas governor previously. She would talk about how Catholic she was, but act totally contrary to Church teaching. It creates a problem for us as bishops when Catholic politicians do that. They teach our people that it is okay to be Catholic and support legalized abortion,” he added.

Naumann called US Senator and former vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine “another example of a politician who flaunted his Catholic background but spewed a lot of pro-choice rhetoric.”

“When they do this they’re taking on a teaching role and misleading our people,” he said.

Naumann called it “less problematic” for a Catholic politician who is pro-abortion but who does not say his position is in accordance with his Catholic faith.

“We still need to dialogue, but he’s not saying, ‘I’m Catholic and pro-choice and you can be Catholic and pro-choice, too,’” he said.

Naumann, who is the Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas, will take over his duties from Cardinal Dolan as chairman of the USCCB pro-life committee in the coming year.

The Archbishop has a long track record of supporting life, including serving as St. Louis’s archdiocesan pro-life coordinator from 1984 to 1995, establishing a Project Rachel ministry there and the Lifeline Coalition network of Catholic social service agencies and pro-life caregivers. He was also a founding board member of the Vitae Foundation.

Archbishop Naumann had already served six terms as a member of the Bishops’ pro-life committee when he was elected chairman of the committee last month.

In addition to his pro-life witness in regard to Sebelius and Kaine, the archbishop and his fellow Kansas prelates produced a video for Catholics During last year’s presidential election advising them of the moral obligation to “keep (the) human rights catastrophe” of abortion “at the forefront of their minds when voting.”

This past May the archbishop cut ties between his archdiocese and the Girl Scouts due to the Scouts’ ties to abortion.

Archbishop Naumann has also been unique among the U.S. Bishops in voicing concern over the international aid organization Catholic Relief Services (CRS) on its funding guidelines after revelations that CRS gives millions of dollars each year to pro-abortion and contraception organizations in developing countries.

Naumann said during the interview that priests must not shy away from giving homilies on the topic of abortion.

Priests must speak about it, he said, because failing to address the truth of the issue is negligence, leaving young Catholics at risk for the tragedy of abortion.

“I’d also like to say to our priests: we can’t fail to talk to our people about these real sins that affect the lives of our people,” stated Naumann.

“If we talk about sins they don’t commit, of what good is that?”

“Certainly we want to preach about the topic in a sensitive way,” he added, “and be supportive of those who chose abortion but now regret it. But if the Church is silent on the destruction of life, we’re being negligent, and leaving our young people vulnerable to making this tragic decision.”

Pro-abortion U.S. Senator announces resignation over sexual harassment

Claire Chretien Claire Chretien Follow Claire
By Claire Chretien

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-abortion Sen. Al Franken, D-MN, announced that he would resign today after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

“Some of the allegations against me simply aren’t true,” but some are, Franken said in his resignation speech.

Franken, a longtime supporter of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, first came under scrutiny when a photo surfaced of him groping a radio host while she slept. The radio host, Leeann Tweeden, also said he forcibly kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth.

Franken eventually issued an apology to Tweeden.

Another woman said Franken grabbed her buttocks during a 2010 state fair.

Others also came forward accusing Franken of sexual impropriety or groping, bringing the number to at least seven. One woman, a congressional aide in 2006 before Franken was elected to the U.S. Senate, said he tried to forcibly kiss her.

During his resignation speech, Franken said he now realizes how his actions have affected women.

“A couple months ago…we were finally beginning to listen to women about the ways in which men’s actions affect them,” he said.

“Then the conversation turned to me,” he continued. “Over the last few weeks, a number of women have come forward to talk about how they felt my actions had affected them.”

“I was shocked. I was upset,” Franken went on. “But in responding to their claims I also wanted to be respectful of that broader conversation.”

Franken reached for the moral high ground through his speech, maintaining that he respects women. He blasted President Trump and Judge Roy Moore, who is running for Alabama’s open Senate seat and being accused of sexual misconduct.

“An important part of the conversation we’ve been having the last few months” is about how “men abuse their power…to hurt women,” said Franken. But “during my time in the Senate, I have used my power to be a champion of women.”

“I’ve earned a reputation as someone who respects the women I work alongside every day,” Franken claimed. “I know who I really am.”

“I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony” in me resigning while Trump remains in the office, said Franken, referring to a 2005 tape during which the current president vulgarly described grabbing women.

Franken then attacked Moore, saying the judge has the full backing of the Republican party. He urged everyone to “hold this administration accountable,” promising supporters “I am going to be just fine.”

Franken ended his speech talking about how difficult his job as a senator was because of the “long hours and late nights and hard lessons.”

But “I know that the work I’ve been able to do has improved people’s lives,” he insisted.

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton, a Democrat, will appoint someone to replace Franken until an election in 2018 for a two-year term. The election for a six-year term for that seat will be in November 2020.

On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-NY, called on Franken to resign. A total of 13 female and 19 male Democratic senators said he should resign.

On Wednesday, a liberal journalist wrote in The Atlantic that Franken groped her at a Media Matters party celebrating President Obama’s inauguration in 2009.

Franken’s past as a comedian didn’t help him as this scandal unfolded. He previously joked about child rape and said he fantasized about raping a news anchor.

Franken’s resignation makes him “the most prominent lawmaker so far to be felled by the swirling allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct sweeping through the Capitol,” the New York Times reported.

Pro-abortion Rep. John Conyers, Jr. D-MI, resigned on Tuesday. The 88-year-old used an office expense fund to pay $27,000 to a former aide. He faced sexual harassment allegations from her.

“Most of us” have seen Conyers in his underwear, a former employee said. Other women said he propositioned them for sex or sexually harassed them.

Franken spent much of his time in the Senate championing hard-left causes like abortion and the promotion of homosexuality. He unsuccessfully tried to embarrass Focus on the Family in 2011 for using data showing kids do best with a mom and dad.

Franken has aggressively promoted the LGBT cause in recent years.

As LifeSiteNews’ Doug Mainwaring reported earlier this year, Franken has also made disturbing comments about homosexuals being killed that apparently are overlooked now:

In a 1976 interview in the Harvard Crimson, Harvard alum Franken declared, “I just don't like homosexuals. If you ask me, they're all homosexuals in the Pudding.” [Pudding is short for the Hasty Pudding Institute, a Harvard social club which produces theatricals.]  Franken continued, “Hey, I was glad when that Pudding homosexual got killed in Philadelphia.”

The Harvard Crimson’s interviewer noted that Franken’s “smile became so broad it pushed his eyes shut. He couldn't stand it any longer. ‘Put that in, put that in,’ Franken laughed, leaning over the desk. ‘I'd love to see that in The Crimson.’”

Tens of thousands expected to protest abortion in Netherlands this weekend

NETHERLANDS, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) -- Cry for Life, a Dutch pro-life organization that has been battling the Culture of Death in the Netherlands since 1985, is predicting a massive turnout for the 25th March for Life in The Hague this weekend, with tens of thousands of people expected to participate in the silent march.

The theme of the March for Life, which will feature Dutch politicians as well as a pro-life UN lobbyist, is “When did your heart start beating?” and will draw attention to euthanasia as well.

Abortion was legalized in the Netherlands in 1980, and is currently legal up until 24 weeks, and legislation legalizing euthanasia was passed in 2002. The Netherlands became the first country since Nazi Germany to legalize euthanasia, and the numbers of Dutch men and women requesting euthanasia continue to rise annually.

One reason that Dutch pro-lifers expect a higher turnout and more enthusiasm this year is the fact that four of the seven operating abortion clinics in the Netherlands were shut down in 2017 due to massive fraud scandals.

Dutch abortion clinics had been submitting false reimbursements to the government, totaling nearly 15 million euros in fraudulent charges. Cry for Life hopes that pro-lifers can take advantage of the abortion industry’s setback and present Dutch women with compassionate and non-lethal options for pregnancy.

Do you share this intuition that the battle between the Culture of Life and the Culture of Death is heating up, that it’s rapidly heading for some kind of climax, or turning point?

I hear about it from ordinary parents who are making great sacrifices to raise their children as believers, but who tell me of their dismay that every other loud voice in the culture - from the media, to the schools, to the entertainers, to the politicians - are actively seeking to undo everything they’re teaching their children, enticing them to embrace radical and destructive anti-life and anti-family ideologies.

I hear it from the ordinary pro-life and pro-family activists who are fearful of the growing spirit of persecution - who increasingly find that the mere act of openly believing what Christians have always believed about issues like abortion and marriage is enough to make them social pariahs, fair game for public scorn, and even targets of lawsuits or career-related reprisals.

But though the times are dire, and confusion on fundamental moral issues is rampant, I am often encouraged to find a powerful and growing thirst for the TRUTH out there!

Bombshell: Book claims Pope Francis expected Benedict’s abdication

December 6, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – An explosive new book is claiming not only that Pope Francis is a power-hungry, manipulative dictator, but that he celebrated the abdication of Benedict XVI.

The Dictator Pope, by a pseudonymous author who calls himself Marcantonio Colonna, claims to describe what Pope Francis is like when his adoring public isn’t looking: “arrogant, dismissive of people, prodigal of bad language and notorious for furious outbursts of temper which are known to everyone from the cardinals to the chauffeurs.”

Despite the hidden identity of the author, the book has hit the bestseller list and received praise from seasoned Vatican watchers.

According to the book, Francis is a master manipulator, and was fully conscious of both attempts to have him elected pope. When the 2005 Conclave elected Cardinal Ratzinger instead, the formerly conservative Cardinal Bergoglio adopted a newly progressive stance in line with the theology of his backers. And it seems that he was privy to the resurrection of their plans when Benedict cut his own papacy short. According to Colonna:

“By the middle of 2012, a few insiders in the Curia knew that Pope Benedict was considering abdication; he had confided his intention to two of his closest associates, the Secretary of State Cardinal Bertone, and the papal secretary Archbishop Ganswein, and he had named the exact date: 28 February 2013.

“Cardinal Bergoglio’s communications with Rome were abruptly stepped up from this time, rising to hectic levels as the date approached. Sure enough, on 11 February 2013 Pope Benedict made his public announcement to the cardinals, and it took almost the whole world by surprise; not Bergoglio and his associates, however, as eyewitnesses discovered.

“On the day of the announcement itself, the rector of Buenos Aires cathedral went to visit his Cardinal and found him exultant. During their interview, the telephone never stopped ringing with international calls from Bergoglio’s allies, and they were all calls of personal congratulation. One Argentinian friend, however, less well informed than the others, rang up to ask about the extraordinary news, and Bergoglio told him:’You don’t know what this means’.”

Renowned Italian journalist and Vatican expert Marco Tosatti who writes for the Italian daily La Stampa, called The Dictator Pope  “important” and  “a panoramic view” of the historic events of the Bergoglian papacy so far. Robert Royal, editor-in-chief of The Catholic Thing and papal watcher for EWTN, characterises The Dictator Pope as “far more probing and detailed than anything that has previously appeared” about Francis’ papacy.

Royal cautions that the book “sometimes stretches evidence,” but adds “the sheer amount of evidence it provides is stunning. About 90 percent of it is simply incontrovertible, and cannot help but clarify who Francis is and what he’s about.”

The United Kingdom’s most popular Catholic weekly comments that The Dictator Pope is “at times harsh,” but praises it saying it “draws on a wide range of material including confidential sources within the Vatican.”

The online book was made available in English on December 4. An insider’s view, it also delves into published articles and books about Francis--some of which have disappeared from Argentine bookstores--to explain the shadow side of the Bergoglio pontificate.

The “scheming Jorge Bergoglio” presented by The Dictator Pope is a startling contrast to the “humble Pope Francis” sold to the public from the date of his election by the world media. What effect the first will have on the second will be interesting to discover.

Planned Parenthood CEO: Natural family planning is ‘insane’

December 7, 2017 (Newsbusters) – You wouldn’t expect the president of Ford to talk up Chrysler models, so you can’t expect the head of America’s largest abortion provider (and contraception distributor) to give the nod to “Natural Family Planning” – or, rather, what she thinks is Natural Family Planning.

On Monday, former magazine editor Tina Brown interviewed Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards at the Women in the World Texas Salon (associated with the New York Times). During her time on stage, Richards praised birth control and criticized Natural Family Planning (NFP) – which she incorrectly claimed included the Rhythm method.

From the beginning, Richards described the current administration “going after birth control access” as “extraordinary” and “crazy.”

She credited birth control for the “record” of lowest rate teenage pregnancy in U.S. history and lowest rate of abortion since the Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973 with Roe v. Wade. (She conveniently forget to mention that, while the national abortion rate has decreased, Planned Parenthood’s own abortion rate has increased.)

But then she warned that the Trump administration was interfering.

“We just have seen a leaked memo that basically says that they’re going to try to redirect all the family planning program, where millions of women, how they get access to affordable birth control, to now begin to use it for fertility awareness,” she insisted. “But to really redirect it away from ‘artificial’ family planning to ‘natural’ family planning.”

Brown gasped, “You mean we’re going to go back to the Rhythm method?” and likened the decision to an “episode of Mad Men.”

Richards confirmed, “Yes, back to the Rhythm method.”

“It’s completely insane,” Richards added. “We provide birth control to millions of people every year, and what we usually call folks who come to us who use the Rhythm method, is parents.”

“I guess we have to laugh to keep from crying,” Richards concluded.

But Richards again left out some important details. First: That “leaked memo,” which news outlets couldn’t verify, never specifically mentioned the Rhythm method, but instead used the term “fertility awareness.” Second: NFP is very different from the Rhythm method of the 1930s.

She should have known better. Back in October, Richards sparked outrage on Twitter from NFP users after she asserted that the “administration wanted to move to ‘natural family planning’ — like the rhythm method.”

According to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), “studies show that couples who follow their NFP method’s guidelines correctly, and all the time, achieve effectiveness rates of 97-99%.” The USCCB also stresses that NFP is not “Rhythm,” which has been “often proved inaccurate.” Unlike the outdated Rhythm method, NFP “take[s] account of a woman’s changing signs of fertility.”

In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Church explains why it promotes NFP instead of contraception: Contraception prevents “giving oneself totally to the other” which “leads not only to a positive refusal to be open to life but also to a falsification of the inner truth of conjugal love.” As Pope Paul VI explains in Humanae Vitae, contraception translates into rising marital infidelity, lower moral standards and increased viewing of women as “mere instrument[s] of selfish enjoyment.”

In other words, Church doctrine teaches that actively preventing conception or "every action which … proposes, whether as an end or as a means, to render procreation impossible" is “intrinsically evil.” (“Periodic continence,” such as Natural Family Planning, is allowed because, it “respect[s] the bodies of the spouses, encourage tenderness between them, and favor the education of an authentic freedom.”)

Besides Catholics, many evangelical Christians refuse to fund contraception because they say some forms induce abortions.

According to Planned Parenthood’s most recently published annual report, the organization performed 328,348 abortions and received $554.6 million in “government health services grants and reimbursements” for the year 2015 – 2016.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – An inspiring video released by a U.S. pro-life group this week shows thousands of people taking a stand against abortion at a prayer rally.

Love Life Charlotte, the North Carolina pro-life group that is organizing its community against abortion, released a video showing their Saturday prayer event. Love Life Charlotte organized forty weeks of prayer for an end to abortion – one week for each week a child grows in the womb.

This video recapping their prayer walk on the 40th week shows how powerful prayer can be – and how it can unite Christians to create a culture of life.

“Since God has blessed our efforts in Charlotte, we feel compelled to take Love Life to two additional North Carolina metro regions” in 2018, said Justin Reeder, the Founder of Love Life Charlotte.

These metro regions will be “the Triangle” of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill and “the Triad” of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.

“As Love Life moves into these new areas, our team will be leading prayer walks in North Carolina’s three largest cities where approximately 85% of all of the state’s abortions take place,” said Reeder.
