LAHORE, Pakistan, July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A Pakistan court ruled that a 13-year-old Catholic girl must return to her 30-year-old Muslim “husband’s” home after her father was unable to convince the judge that his daughter was underage and forcibly converted to Islam.

Shahid Gill is a tailor in Gujranwala in northwest Pakistan. According to Morning Star News (MSN), his 13-year-old daughter, Nayab, helped in a beauty salon owned by 30-year-old Saddam Hayat, who had reportedly offered to train Nayab in the salon during COVID-19 restrictions.

Shahid Gill told MSN that Hayat suggested Nayab learn skills that could help support the family and assured them that she “was just like his daughter.” Hayat promised to pay the Gill family 10,000 rupees (or about $63) per month for Nayab’s help, but Shahid Gill claims that the payments ceased after a few months.

Then on May 20, Nayab went missing. Hayat claimed ignorance of her whereabouts, helping the family look for her but telling them not to mention that Nayab had been working for him.

They located her in a women’s shelter on May 26, where they were told that Nayab had submitted a claim to the magistrate’s court alleging that she had converted to Islam and was under threat from her Catholic family. The court document, listing her as “unmarried,” was filed May 21.

When the Gill family attempted to get Nayab out of the shelter and bring her home, shelter security called police, and Hayat also appeared, threatening to shoot the family if they did not leave Nayab.

The matter proceeded to the court, where Special Judicial Magistrate Qaiser Jameel heard the case on May 27. Nayab claimed that she was in fact 19 years old and had freely become a Muslim and married Hayat.

However, her parents presented the official documents to the judge, stating that Nayab was born in 2007. “We told the judge that she was lying about her age under duress,” said Shahid. “She had bruises on her face, and her eyes were also red, which should have caught the judge’s attention, but he ignored it.”

Nayab also claimed that she had freely married Hayat on May 20, which was the day before the different document she filed had registered her as unmarried. She left court on May 27 as Hayat’s wife after the judge ruled against Nayab’s parents.

Hayat is reported to have four children while already having three wives.

The matter next proceeded to the Lahore High Court, as Nayab’s parents argued that she was underage and as such could not marry or change her religion. They claimed Hayat kidnapped her, forced her to convert and then marry him.

Nayab arrived at the High Court on July 1 surrounded by police and a number of Hayat’s family.

Her parents had the assistance of Raiz Anjum, a Christian lawyer who argued that under the “child marriage restraint act 1929,” Nayab was unable to marry anyone since she was a minor under the age of 16. He also referenced a 2019 decision by another Lahore High Court judge, who ruled that children under 15 did not have capacity to change religion, and consequently ended up returning a 14-year-old girl to her Christian parents after she had been a “domestic worker” with a Muslim family for four years.

However, Anjum’s defense appeared to be wasted on Lahore court judge. Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry, who accepted Nayab’s verbal testimony that she was 19, converted and married of her own volition.

Under Section 366A of the Pakistan Penal Code (1860), anyone who forces a girl under 18 to have sexual intercourse could face prison and a fine. However, Chaudhry instead cited Muslim sharia law, which states that any girl who has had a menstrual cycle is old enough to marry.

Chaudhry thus sent Nayab back to Hayat’s home as his wife, dismissing claims that she was there as his Muslim wife only under duress. Justice Chaudhry also rejected the appeal to the 2019 Lahore case, calling it “irrelevant” to Nayab’s situation.

Pakistan is a center of forced marriages and ‘conversions’

International charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) lists the level of Christian persecution in Pakistan as “extreme.” Describing the situation for Catholics and Christians in the country, the group wrote of “increasing trends towards forced conversion of Christian women – including rape of underage girls – who are compelled to marry Muslim men.”

ACN’s March report on the situation in Pakistan noted how research suggested “up to 1,000 Christian and Hindu young women and girls are abducted and abused every year.”

Indeed, Nayab’s account is but one of many similar cases occurring in Pakistan but rarely reaching the mainstream media in the West. ACN reported one such case of 14-year-old Catholic girl Maira Shahbaz’s abduction by three armed Muslim men, led by Mohamad Nakash, on April 28, 2020. Nakash is married with children but forced Maira Shahbaz to marry him and convert to Islam.

In the ensuing court case, which ruled in favor of Nakash, the judge accepted the claim that Shahbaz was 19 years old, rejecting the evidence of birth certificates.

Unlike Nayab’s case, Maira does not claim to have married Nakash freely but states that he drugged her and raped her repeatedly. In August 2020, Maria Shahbaz escaped from Nakash, prompting “groups of extremists” to search for her in order to kill her as an “apostate.”

Speaking to ACN after another under-age Christian girl was abducted and forced into marriage with a Muslim, Father Emmanuel Yousaf stated, “These cases are increasing and it is clear that the authorities are not doing enough about it.”

Father Yousaf, director of the national Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in Pakistan, revealed that there were many more cases that went unnoticed because families and the girls involved were too afraid to reveal the details.

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — In a recent monologue on the Ingraham Angle, hostess Laura Ingraham highlighted the left’s contemporary assault upon parental rights with regards to recklessly injecting children with experimental mRNA COVID-19 gene-therapy vaccines without parental consent, indoctrinating children with a dark “anti-Americanism,” and encouraging them to engage in sexual activity beginning in fifth grade.

“Hide your kids,” announced the Fox News host last Friday night. “It's often said that ‘the children are our future,’ and of course that's exactly why the left wants to take them from parents who don't buy into their twisted agenda.”

On many fronts, Ingraham warned, “forces are working overtime to undermine parental rights,” and the Christian moral framework that affirms them. “From teachers’ unions to gender activists to Biden's vaccine pushers, we're seeing a concerted effort, backed by some of the biggest financial interests out there, to indoctrinate our children into a dark mindset of anti-Americanism.”

“Now this new normal requires the undermining of American history,” she said, and “teaching concepts directly at odds with the ideal of the nuclear family.”

“On the COVID issue, government and so-called public health experts are trying to force your kids to get injected with an experimental COVID vaccine whether you want them to or not,” Ingraham warned. Part of this effort entails the Biden administration taking “their pressure campaign to your doorstep.”

Last week, White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced the federal government was “going to continue to press to get 12- to 18-year-olds vaccinated” despite their age category having a 99.997 percent survival rate for COVID-19, and yet at least a 1 in 333 (.3 percent) chance of a serious adverse event (SAE) occurring with injections of these experimental vaccines. This means a child is at least 10,000 times more likely to have an SAE from the vaccine, including death, than dying from COVID-19.

Psaki also said that the administration initiated “strike forces” to canvas neighborhoods, door to door, to promote jabs with these experimental biological agents.

“Strike forces?” Ingraham quipped. “[China’s Communist] President Xi must be very proud of that language.”

Indeed, “Biden’s vaccine militia will apparently be asking household adults questions about the family's vaccine status and God knows what else,” she warned.

In response to a statement by the radically pro-abortion Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, claiming that the government has a right to individual vaccine information, Ingraham countered, “Xavier, it's not your department's role to pry into the medical decisions of American citizens … [and] we trust parents, not the bureaucrats who've misled us consistently, to make important family health decisions.”

Happily, she said, Republican state officials are already responding. “Missouri’s governor, Mike Parson, politely told the feds to take their vaccine evangelization elsewhere. And the Arizona AG [Attorney General] in a letter to President Biden, raised the issue of medical privacy, writing, ‘I will not tolerate such intrusions within Arizona. If Americans are on the fence about taking the COVID-19 vaccine, it would be most inappropriate for bureaucrats to single them out regardless of motivations or intentions.’”

The left’s “raw obsession with vaccinating kids who rarely get ill from COVID” rightly fosters distrust, according to the Fox News host.

Such examples include a new law in Connecticut “that requires kindergarteners to be vaccinated even if it violates parents’ religious beliefs,” and a District of Columbia law that “allows children as young as 11 years old to get any vaccine, including COVID-19, without parental consent.”

In addition, “Alabama allows 14-year-olds to get the vaccine without parental consent, Oregon allows 15-year-olds to get it, and in Rhode Island and South Carolina you can get it at 16,” Ingraham said.

“Now this is just unacceptable. None of these states allow tattoos for those under the age of 18 without parental permission, but they're allowing minors to get an experimental drug?” she asked.

This makes far less sense since a new study out of England confirmed that “99.995 percent of the 469,982 children in England who were infected during the year, as examined by researchers, survived” Ingraham explained.

Such “anti-parental trends” from the left are also compounded in schools where students are “forced to read sexually explicit books,” and then actually encouraged “to have sex,” she said. Such outrages include “one of New York’s fanciest schools” that “is teaching first graders about masturbation.”

Ingraham also covered how school administrators and teachers’ unions “move into smear mode” against parents who object to Critical Race Theory being taught to their children in schools. Such assaults are reinforced by the “democrat state media” that “will defame” them as well.

In concluding, the Fox News commentator said “totalitarian societies depend on propagandizing, and their leaders ruthlessly enforce its dissemination. ‘Give me four years to teach the children, and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.’ That was from Vladimir Lenin. We can't afford to give our would-be cultural totalitarians four more weeks with our kids, let alone four more years.”

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Last night, Tucker Carlson took aim at Joe Biden allies’ plan to censor the private communications of American citizens.

Carlson revealed that organizations associated with the Biden administration are going to partner with Big Tech to ensure that people cannot use their cell phones to share information about the COVID-19 vaccine that the government doesn’t like.

“Today we learned the Biden administration considers censorship is applicable to private speech,” Carlson said.

“What you say in private, when you’re alone with your phone, you won’t be able to say or read what you want because the DNC [Democratic National Committee] plans to control — and apparently have the ability to control — the information you receive on your phone,” he continued.

“Nothing that questions official regime policy will reach you.”

The pundit quoted a report in the left-leaning Politico magazine, which says “Biden-allied groups, including the [DNC], are planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively, and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.”

Carlson emphasized the word “misinformation,” asserting that it doesn’t mean inaccurate information, but factually correct information that the government doesn’t want spread around.

“Misinformation is anything the Biden administration doesn’t want you to know — including, for example, how effective the COVID vaccines actually are, and what the potential side effects from them might be,” the Fox News host said.

Carlson predicted a scenario in which viewers look up information on vaccine injuries on the government’s own websites, “starting with the VAERS database,” and discover they can’t text the information to anyone else in the country.

“Your private conversations will be controlled by the DNC,” Carlson said.

“Is that the picture of a free country?”

Carlson had a lot of other questions — like what else the government can do if it can ban the discussion of a medication, and why the ban on sharing vaccine information is happening as the pandemic itself slows down.  He also wondered why the government is so “angry” at people who don’t get vaccinated when all those who have gotten vaccinated are presumably safe.

“According to the administration, the vaccine works perfectly, so vaccinated people are protected from COVID,” Carlson said.

“That’s why they took the vaccine in the first place. So why is official Washington so angry at the people who won’t get vaccinated?” he asked.

“How precisely do they propose a threat? It makes you think that maybe none of this is really about COVID. Maybe it’s about social control.”

To illustrate, Carlson played a clip of an interview with NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci, who said he believes, and has believed, that there should be “mandates” about vaccination “at the local level,” that is, mandatory vaccination.

“Do you remember hearing that when they first rolled out the vaccine, that [they’re] for mandates?” the Fox News host asked.

“No, they said they’re not for mandates, actually — but now they are,” he continued.

“These drugs will be mandatory; in many places they already are. If you want to get an education, for example, you need to take one. Many questions arise from this — deep questions about civil liberties and what it means to be a free country. But even on a medical level, questions arise. Do we know enough to make these drugs mandatory?”

Carlson told his viewers that the FDA is going to issue a “new warning” about the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine because it has been linked to a nerve disorder called GBS, which causes paralysis. The VARES Database lists GBS as a “potential symptom for every other COVID vaccine, too,” the pundit said, and he contrasted the government’s response to this danger to the 1976 decision to end a mass flu vaccination when hundreds of Americans developed GBS.

“[In 1976] people started asking questions, and very quickly, the Ford administration determined the vaccine wasn't worth the risk," Carlson said.

“But that's not happening now. People are not asking those questions because they can’t – they’re not allowed to in public.”

Sadly, people who do ask questions about the vaccines are accused of having self-serving political motives. In another clip Carlson played, Fauci called unwillingness to get vaccinated “ideological rigidity” in “red states” and the American South. In another, Dick Durbin accuses Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham of being “anti-vax quacks” who “have been spreading irresponsible information about vaccines across America.”

“Notice Durbin doesn’t accuse us of spreading false information,” Carlson said.

“He did not accuse us of being factually wrong. We haven’t been," he continued.

“Nor are we against vaccines. Few Americans are against vaccines. Virtually every American has had a ton of vaccines and was expecting to take this one. But when you refuse to answer basic questions about the vaccine and when you dodge them with partisan talking points like that, you make people nervous.”

Sadly, people with questions about the vaccines are accused even of being racist. Carlson repeated government data that African Americans are the racial or ethnic group least willing to take the vaccine. Nevertheless, such pundits as Dr. Chris Parnell call people warning against the COVID-19 vaccines “another example of the proliferation of white supremacy.”

“Something is very wrong with our system," Carlson stated.

“She’s claiming African Americans aren't taking the vaccine because white supremacists have asked questions about the vaccine. That's lunacy, of course.”

After the lunacy, there’s irony. Carlson stated that the people who are trying to force Americans to take a COVID-19 vaccine are the same ones who have “lectured us for decades about ‘my body, my choice.’”

“The former head of Planned Parenthood, who is a truly irresponsible person called Lena Wen, just went on television to explain how to force millions of Americans to take the drug,” he continued.

“It’s easy, she said. Just make their lives as miserable as possible until they comply.”

Carlson then played a clip of Wen saying that “it needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated.” She suggested that those who opt out should have to be tested for the virus twice a week.

“Basically, we want to make getting vaccinated the easy choice,” Wen said.

The Fox host also highlighted an executive order in the U.S. Army to make the COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for soldiers by September 1.  Carlson stated that this is the first time since the Army forced soldiers to take a vaccine since the anthrax vaccine — a decision that killed and injured several soldiers.” He quoted a pro-life naval officer who will be forcibly discharged if he doesn’t take the vaccine.

“There’s no scientific basis for any of this,” Carlson stated and quoted the Department of Defense’s own statistics, which are that of the 202,567 active duty service members who have had COVID-19, 26 have died. This represents a better than 99.987 survival rate.

“The government is purging the military, and spying on its own citizens, because of a virus that isn't killing very many people anymore," Carlson said.

“And keep in mind: vaccination isn’t like voting. They don’t trust you to do it yourself at home and mail in the results. They’re keeping track. How East German is this country becoming?”

Carlson concluded his monologue by contrasting the FBI crackdown on fake vaccination cards with the FBI’s lack of action on illegal immigrants’ fake drivers’ licences and fake social security cards. He accused the Biden administration of having a double standard and called on Americans to resist the transformation of their nation.

“The people running the government have one standard for enforcing the law for people who agree with them, and a different one for those who don’t agree with them,” he said.

“That is third world,” the host added.

“Now those same people just gave themselves the power to read and censor your text messages. We’ve got to resist this. You can’t let this continue — or else you’re going to wake up in a very different place from the place you were born.”

Parents sue Washington, DC for allowing minors to be vaccinated without parental knowledge or consent

This law now permits an eleven-year-old to override his or her parents’ express written directive, and the child’s school must falsify and withhold vaccine records from the parents to conceal the truth. The healthcare providers who vaccinate children against parental directives will be paid by the parents’ health insurance company with no documentation of paid-for services to parents.

Children’s Health Defense
By Children's Health Defense

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – On Monday, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) and the Parental Rights Foundation filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking a court order to declare that the D.C. Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act of 2020 is unconstitutional. Plaintiffs are four parents of minor children who attend public school in the District of Columbia. They seek a preliminary injunction to prohibit the Mayor, the D.C. Department of Health, and the D.C. Public School System from enforcing the Act.

The D.C. Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act of 2020 (D.C. Act) allows children eleven years of age and older to consent to the administration of any vaccine recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), including COVID shots, without parental knowledge or consent, if the medical provider believes “the minor is capable of meeting the informed consent standard.”

The D.C. Act contains several provisions designed to deceive parents and hide that the child has been vaccinated against parental judgment, authority or religious convictions. The D.C. Act mandates that if a minor has a religious exemption from vaccines or has opted out of the HPV vaccine based on documents filed by parents, the health care provider should leave those parts of the student’s immunization record “blank.”(Sec. 3(b)(2)). To further deceive parents, the D.C. Act requires healthcare personnel to provide accurate immunization records to the Department of Health and to the student’s school, but not to parents. It also contains subsections authorizing healthcare personnel to “seek reimbursement, without parental consent, directly from the insurer,” noting that “insurers shall not send an Explanation of Benefits for services provided.”

The D.C. Act has dire implications for the health of children. If parents do not know their child was vaccinated at school, they may not recognize vaccine adverse reactions. Serious adverse reactions require immediate medical treatment and are contraindications to further vaccination. Also, if the family doctor is unaware the child was vaccinated at school, additional vaccines may be administered too close in time to those given at school. Vaccine manufacturers, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and government public health authorities publish strict warnings about the timing of vaccines. Children are typically unaware of their family medical history and any inherent contraindications to vaccines.

“The D.C. Act is reckless, unconstitutional, and needlessly endangers children’s lives by stripping away parental protection and the protection of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986,” said CHD president and general counsel Mary Holland.

Congress enacted the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (“Vaccine Act”) in response to a growing number of lawsuits alleging neurological and other damage from vaccine injuries. The Vaccine Act and the subsequent Supreme Court decision Bruesewitz v. Wyeth shield vaccine manufacturers from virtually all liability based upon the premise that vaccine injury is “unavoidable.” It requires those injured seek compensation from a fatally flawed government compensation program. Federal court decisions have acknowledged that some children will suffer “adverse events,” including brain damage, seizures, paralysis and death from childhood vaccines. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid over $ 4.5 billion to date in compensation to the families of those injured and killed by vaccines.

To minimize the number of injuries and to compensate those seriously injured, the Vaccine Act requires that parents are provided with Vaccine Information Statements, vaccine records, and directions for reporting vaccine adverse events to the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

Federally mandated Vaccine Injury Statements are designed to provide parents with the minimum amount of information necessary to meet informed consent requirements. These statements provide critical information regarding how to recognize vaccine adverse events including allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, seizures and paralysis, and explain that some children should not be vaccinated. The D.C. Act completely disregards federal laws to protect children, including the requirements to provide Vaccine Injury Statementsrecording requirements and mandatory reporting of vaccine adverse events.

The Defender has been covering the progression of the D.C. City Council bill for many months. The bill passed the D.C. Council on a 10-3 vote last November, was signed into law by Mayor Muriel Bowser in December and went into effect on March 19, 2021. Although the D.C. Minor Consent Act is the most blatant abuse of laws governing minor consent to vaccination, it is not isolated. Other state and local governments are circumventing parental rights and endangering children under “the mature minor doctrine.”

“The D.C. Act is an unconscionable intrusion on the rights and liberty of parents and children,” said Holland. “As the Supreme Court held, ‘The liberty interest at issue in this case—the interest of parents in the care, custody, and control of their children—is perhaps the oldest of the fundamental liberty interests recognized by this Court.’” (Troxel v. Granville350 U.S. 57, 65 (2000).)

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, received a copy of the contents on Hunter Biden’s laptop last week from Jack Maxey, former co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room.

The laptop, which was verified by cybersecurity experts in April, features damning evidence of Joe Biden’s direct financial involvement in his son’s business dealings with Chinese state-backed entities and foreign businessmen from several countries. Messages on the laptop indicate that Hunter Biden had business connections to Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and also detail child sex-abuse allegations against Hunter, including in conversations with Joe Biden.

In a letter to Grassley dated July 6, Maxey said he had “confidential informants who would be willing to testify concerning many of the crimes both here and in other geographies including communist China.” He also offered to brief the senator and to testify under oath.

Maxey, who obtained the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop last year from Rudy Giuliani, added that every “first-tier media company in the United States” besides the Washington Post and the New York Post has reportedly refused a copy of the device’s hard drive.

Grassley has not responded to Maxey since he was sent the contents of the laptop, and Maxey is calling on people to message the senator’s office

Grassley has previously investigated Hunter and the Bidens, including in a probe with Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin that turned up potential financial crimes by Hunter and other members of the Biden family. Earlier this year, the two Republicans pressed the Secret Services about revelations in March that Secret Service officers tried to hide an illegal firearm purchase by Hunter Biden.

Maxey said in a statement to LifeSiteNews that God “warned us that we would suffer in His name.”

“Keep the rosary near at all times and seek our Mother’s protection and pray that we may have grace to endure the hard road before us,” he said.

Below is Maxey’s July 6 letter to Grassley.

World Health Organization warns against ‘mix and match’ vaccine doses; Canada ignores

'It's a little bit of a dangerous trend,' the World Health Organization's chief scientist said, yet it's exactly what Canadian health officials recommend.

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The World Health Organization is warning the public not to “mix and match” COVID-19 vaccine doses from different manufacturers, as the media accentuate fears about new virus strains even to people who have already been vaccinated.

“It's a little bit of a dangerous trend here. We are in a data-free, evidence-free zone as far as mix and match,” Soumya Swaminathan, the chief scientist of the pro-abortion United Nations entity, said during an online briefing Monday, Reuters reports. ‘It will be a chaotic situation in countries if citizens start deciding when and who will be taking a second, a third and a fourth dose.”

Yet Canadian officials are standing by their decision to encourage exactly that, CTV News reports.

“Vaccine interchangeability is not a new concept. Similar vaccines from different manufacturers are used when vaccine supply or public health programs change,” claimed the Public Health Agency of Canada, defending advice from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). “Different vaccine products have been used to complete a vaccine series for influenza, hepatitis A, and others.”

Perhaps in response to such pushback, Swaminathan later “clarified” her Monday comments to allow room for public health officials to recommend such mixing:

To the frustration of vaccine advocates and their allies around the world, many remain concerned that the coronavirus vaccines have not been sufficiently studied for negative effects given how quickly they were developed. In the United States, for instance, clinical trials for the currently-authorized COVID-19 vaccines were performed in less than a year, when such trials traditionally take a minimum of two to four years.

Others harbor ethical reservations about the use of cells from aborted babies in some of the vaccine candidates’ development, or simply consider the vaccines unnecessary for them given COVID-19’s high survivability among most groups, low risk of asymptomatic spread, and research indicating that post-infection natural immunity is equally protective against reinfection.

Public health bureaucracies and their media allies have also invoked the specter of the recently-discovered “Delta variant” of COVID-19 to reinforce their calls for vaccination and to extend “emergency” measures such as masking. Some figures, such as liberal writer Andrew Sullivan, have specifically cited Delta as their reason for “complementing” one vaccination with another vaccination from a different manufacturer:

The Blaze’s Daniel Horowitz recently wrote that “if people would actually look at the data, they'd realize that the Delta variant is actually less deadly … India has one-seventh the death rate per capita of the U.S.; it's just that India got the major winter wave later, when the Western countries were largely done with it, thereby giving the illusion that India somehow suffered worse.”

Horowitz cited a British government report showing a lower case-fatality rate (CFR) for the delta variant than for previous COVID strains and the same rate as the flu. “This is exactly what every respiratory pandemic has done through history: morphed into more transmissible and less virulent form that forces the other mutations out since you get that one,” he summarized. “Nothing about masks, lockdowns, or experimental shots did this.”

Trudeau bodyguards manhandle female reporter who asked why he’s not calling church burnings ‘hate crimes’

The reporter had pressed Trudeau, 'When will you speak about the 20 vandalized churches? They’re burning churches and vandalizing them and you’re not calling it a hate crime.'

COQUITLAM, British Columbia, July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Reporter Drea Humphrey was manhandled by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s bodyguards last week while asking Trudeau why he hasn't denounced Canadian church burnings as hate crimes.

A bodyguard grabbed Humphrey, a reporter with Rebel News, and forcibly removed her from Trudeau’s vicinity as she walked alongside Trudeau and questioned him during his recent stop in British Columbia.

“You talked about Canada’s last wrongs, the past things they haven’t done right,” she said to Trudeau. “When will you speak about the 20 vandalized churches? They’re burning churches and vandalizing them and you’re not calling it a hate crime.”

Trudeau went on to take selfies as Humphrey, a registered member of Independent Press Gallery, was forced aside.

Twenty churches have been burned or vandalized in Canada over the past three weeks, with at least four Catholic churches burned to the ground in one week alone. The wave of crime closely followed intense media coverage of the discovery of hundreds of unmarked graves at the sites of former residential schools run by Catholic religious groups.

On July 2, Trudeau said, “It is unacceptable and wrong that acts of vandalism and arson are being seen across the country including against Catholic churches,” but then he went on to soften his critique.

“One of my reflections is, I understand the anger that’s out there, against the federal government, against institutions like the Catholic Church. It is real, and it is fully understandable given the shameful history that we are all becoming more and more aware of,” Trudeau continued.

“This is not what we need from our political leadership at this point,” commented Brian Lilley of the Toronto Sun. “What we need is someone to stand strongly and condemn in unequivocal terms these actions. Saying, ‘I condemn it, but it’s understandable,’ is not unequivocal condemnation. In fact, it’s not even condemnation at that point, because he’s saying it’s understandable.”

“If this were a mosque under attack after a terrorist attack carried out by Islamic radicals, Justin Trudeau would not hesitate to say in no uncertain terms that this was wrong,” Lilley continued. There would be no wiggle room. There would be no, ‘Yeah, but,” in his statement, which is what his ‘understandable’ comment amounts to.’”

Commenting on the forcible moving of Humphrey away from Trudeau, Ezra Levant of Rebel News commented, “Trudeau prefers to call on hand-picked journalists that he can control. Usually CBC state reporters, or journalists from bail-out newspapers.”

Attorneys drafted a complaint letter to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on behalf of Rebel News and Humphrey in which they pointed out, “At no point was Ms. Humphrey ever threatening or abusive, nor did she block the Prime Minister’s path or pose any physical danger to the prime minister.”

The letter insisted that Rebel News staff are “entitled to report without being harassed, threatened, or fined,” and “without fear of police sanction.”

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Monday that it has added a label to Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine that warns of a risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder that can cause paralysis.

The new warning comes in response to 100 preliminary reports of GBS after vaccination with the shot that have been tracked by the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the Epoch Times said. VAERS, a vaccine injury tracking system managed by the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is known to underreport cases.

Of the Guillain-Barré reports submitted to VAERS, 95 were serious and required hospitalization, an FDA spokesperson told the Epoch Times. One death has been recorded so far: that of a 57-year-old Delaware man who had had a heart attack and a stroke in the past four years.

A CDC communications official told Fox News that GBS cases “have largely been reported about two weeks after vaccination and mostly in males, many aged 50 years and older.” Those

vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson shot are believed to have a three-to-five times greater risk than would typically be observed in the U.S.

The FDA has not yet determined a “causal relationship” between COVID-19 vaccination and Guillain-Barré syndrome, but acknowledged in a statement that “the available evidence suggests an association,” according to Fox News. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the CDC is slated to review the issue at an upcoming meeting.

The FDA and CDC continue to push experimental COVID-19 vaccines despite a 98-99% survival rate for coronavirus in the U.S.

The revised healthcare provider fact sheet for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine now states that adverse events reports “suggest an increased risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome during the 42 days following vaccination.” Marion Gruber, PhD, director of the CDC’s vaccine research and review office, confirmed the updates in a letter dated July 12.

The patient fact sheet also notes that, in most cases, “symptoms began within 42 days following receipt of the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine” and have included difficulty walking, inability to control bowel function, and tingling throughout the body, among other things.

“We have been in discussions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other regulators about rare cases of the neurological disorder, Guillain-Barré syndrome, that have been reported following vaccination with the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine,” Johnson & Johnson said in statement on Monday. “The chance of having this occur is very low, and the rate of reported cases exceeds the background rate by a small degree.”

The FDA’s GBS warning follows a similar announcement last week by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine. The EMA said that data “neither confirms nor rules out a possible association” between Guillain-Barré syndrome and the vaccine, and told healthcare providers “to be alert to signs and symptom of GBS.” The AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines both rely on adenovirus vector technology.

The FDA and CDC had notably halted use of the Johnson & Johnson shot in April due to a link to blood clot disorders. In June, the FDA also added a label warning of heart inflammation to fact sheets for the mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, after the CDC revealed that more than 1,200 cases of post-vaccination heart inflammation have been reported to U.S. authorities.

According to recent VAERS data, there have been more than 300 reports of Guillain-Barré syndrome potentially linked to Pfizer’s or Moderna’s shot, as of July, though federal agencies

have not introduced GBS labels for the mRNA vaccines, the New York Times said

Guillain-Barré has previously been associated with other vaccines. In March, the FDA said that “an increased risk of GBS was observed during the 42 days” after vaccination with Shingrix, GlaxoSmithKline’s shingles vaccine.

Study says flu vaccine during pregnancy poses no risk to child’s health — but here’s what researchers got wrong

A study published earlier this month in JAMA Network concluding maternal influenza vaccination during pregnancy was not significantly associated with an increased risk of adverse early childhood health outcomes failed to consider several key points.

July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – A study published earlier this month in JAMA Network concluding maternal influenza vaccination during pregnancy was not significantly associated with an increased risk of adverse early childhood health outcomes, failed to consider several key points.

The study, “Association of Maternal Influenza Vaccination During Pregnancy With Early Childhood Health Outcomes,” was based on a cohort of 28,255 children born in Nova Scotia between 2010 and 2014. About 36% of the children were exposed to the influenza vaccine during gestation.

Researchers followed the children during gestation and after live birth, for an average of 3.6 years — an inadequate length of time to provide any real assurance that the vaccine administered to the mother during pregnancy would have no negative impact on the child’s long-term health.

The study’s authors claim to have found no relationship between maternal influenza vaccine exposure and childhood diagnoses of asthma, upper and lower respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, ear infections, neoplasms, hearing or vision loss, or urgent and in-patient health services utilization.

Diagnoses considered in this study were based on emergency room visits and hospitalizations only — even though most diagnoses are made in other, out-patient settings such as practitioner office visits.

According to the Asthma Fact Sheet, 9.5% of all Canadians have asthma. Yet the study authors report an incidence of 3.0 diagnoses per 1,000 person years, which translates to 1.1 cases of asthma per 100 children in the study or 1.1%.

Other diagnoses in the study are similarly under-ascertained and reflect only a small fraction of the actual number of diagnoses in each group.

The researchers’ claim that there was no significant difference between the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups studied is simply not true. Adjusted rates of ear infections (otitis media) were reported as significantly higher in Table 2 of the paper.

Image

In addition, when including marginally significant results, adjusted rates of lower respiratory infections and urgent and in-patient health services utilization were higher in the vaccinated group as well as crude rates of gastrointestinal infections and urgent and in-patient health services utilization.

When looking specifically at the trimester of vaccination, third-trimester vaccination was significantly associated with lower respiratory infection when compared to the unvaccinated group (see figure below). These results were summarily ignored by the study authors, despite the level of significance achieved.

Image

The control diagnosis (nebulously defined as “all-cause injuries”) shows a significantly higher incidence in maternally vaccinated children versus unvaccinated children. The control diagnosis in epidemiology is used as a study “barometer” to test validity of results obtained and should not be significantly related to vaccination status.

This casts a shadow of doubt on any conclusion made from this study. It also raises concerns that physicians will use the study to provide false assurance of safety regarding the risks of administering flu vaccines during pregnancy.

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) posted a tweet Sunday directing Americans to resources to learn how to identify “extremism” in family members and peers and to report their loved ones to the FBI.

The federal agency’s message tells Americans they are “best positioned” to identify “signs of mobilization to violence” in family members and peers and can help “prevent homegrown violent extremism.”

The tweet directs Americans to view an online government booklet to learn “how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the FBI.”

The booklet linked in the tweet was originally written in 2015 and most recently updated in 2019. Created in a combined effort between the National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC), FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the document primarily focuses on the threat of violent extremism from terrorists associated with Isis or other radical Islamic terror groups.

It is unclear whether the document will be updated to include descriptions of the new groups which the Biden administration has declared pose the greatest terror threat in the United States today.

President Joe Biden has recently stated “white supremacy is terrorism,” weaponizing the offensive label frequently misapplied to conservatives who hold mainstream right-leaning perspectives on issues like critical race theory, border security, and election integrity.

The Biden administration has further declared domestic terrorism “the most urgent terrorism threat” in the U.S., referring to an unclassified report from the Office of National Intelligence published in March which states that “perceived government overreach will almost certainly drive DVE [domestic violent extremist] radicalization and mobilization to violence.”

“[N]arratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the US Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and conspiracy theories promoting violence,” the report claims, “will almost certainly spur some DVEs to try to engage in violence this year.”

According to the “Homegrown Violent Extremist Mobilization Indicators” booklet linked in the FBI’s tweet, behaviors considered concerning and potentially worthy of being reported to the federal government include writing posts on social media, sending tweets, or using hashtags using terminology allegedly associated with a violent ideology.

In addition, using encrypted media apps and software, engaging in physical or weapons training, and harboring an “us vs. them” mentality are also signs which could point toward “mobilization to violence,” according to the booklet.

“We are all in this together,” the document states. “We continue to see that members of the community—such as family members and peers—are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Such community members almost always are the first to detect hints that an individual may be considering violent action in the Homeland or overseas.”

While acknowledging “that many of the indicators described herein may involve constitutionally protected activities and might be insignificant on their own,” the booklet alleges that “when observed in combination with other suspicious behaviors, these indicators may raise suspicion in a reasonable person and constitute a basis for reporting.”

The booklet further encourages Americans “to contact law enforcement if, based on these indicators and the situational context, they suspect an individual is mobilizing to violence.”

Many prominent conservatives have reacted strongly against the FBI’s message, arguing that it blatantly encourages Americans to spy upon one another and mirrors the actions of Communist regimes.

“This is outrageous,” tweeted Richard Grenell, the openly homosexual former Acting Director of National Intelligence.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), whose father fled from Communist oppression in Cuba, remarked, “In both Cuba & China, they also ask children to spy on their parents….”

The FBI’s message comes just weeks after the Biden administration unveiled its four-pillar plan to counter “domestic terrorism,” calling for Americans to report friends, family members, and coworkers they perceive to be “radicalizing.”

As previously reported by LifeSiteNews, the second pillar of the strategy positions “domestic violent extremism as a national priority,” allocating $77 million in grant money to address the threat. The pillar advocates a “see something, say something” approach which “involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers” can “seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence.”

The plan also involves a global alliance of governments and Big Tech organizations to identify and eliminate internet content considered dangerous.

A senior Biden administration official described the immediate action necessary for confronting the “urgent” domestic terror threat in a press conference, noting that “manifestations” of that immediacy have already been seen in “the pretty extraordinary pace and scope of work done by investigators and prosecutors in the wake of the January 6 events.”

Vaccine safety advocate tells RFK Jr.: VAERS protects vaccine makers, not kids

Eileen Iorio told RFK, Jr. on the “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast” that while VAERS was created to protect children from vaccine injury by reporting adverse events to Congress, the government-funded reporting system has never followed through on that mission.

July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – In a new episode of the “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast,” Children’s Health Defense Chairman Robert F. Kennedy Jr., vaccine safety advocate Eileen Iorio, Wayne Rohde, author of “The Vaccine Court,” and Stan Gotshall of the VaccineData project, discuss the failures of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, including why the system captures fewer than 1% of America’s vaccine injuries.

The government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S. was created to protect children from vaccine injury. “It was supposed to trigger alerts and warnings,” said Iorio, mother of a vaccine-injured child and author of “HPV Vaccine On Trial.”

But what VAERS really does, Iorio told Kennedy, is exonerate vaccine makers from civil liability.

VAERS was designed to submit bi-annual reports to Congress on vaccine injury in children, but that never really happened, according to Iorio, who said, “Very little has been reported there until 2020-2021” — when COVID vaccines were rolled out.

While it’s unclear if the spike in the number of COVID vaccine adverse events is due to an increase in injuries, or is the result of better reporting, Iorio said COVID vaccine injuries now account for 30% of total adverse event vaccine reports recorded since 1990.

Kennedy said one of the reasons VAERS is so flawed is that it’s a voluntary system that relies mostly on doctors to report vaccine injuries.

Kennedy said:

“Doctors are taught in medical school that vaccine injuries are mythology. They also are disincentivized from reporting too many. Doctors who do report them are punished by professional societies.”

Listen to the interview to hear how more than 99 percent of vaccine injuries are likely not being reported, and how doctors are discouraged from reporting vaccine injuries to VAERS.

Bloody abortion horrors found in dumpsters at Baton Rouge and Shreveport abortion facilities

In the trash, the man found human flesh, bloody gowns, medical waste, and personal information from women who had attended the two abortion facilities.

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, July 13, 2021 (Operation Rescue) – As was his normal routine, a homeless man scrounged the streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on the evening of April 8, 2021, looking for a promising dumpster where he might find some scraps of discarded food for his evening meal.

Lifting the lid on a dumpster behind a business on Colonial Drive, he began to sort through the freshly discarded bags of trash.

But instead of finding stale, discarded food, the bags of trash contained bloody gowns, napkins, plastic tubes, and other items that shocked and sickened him.

The homeless man had stumbled on the dumpster behind the Delta Clinic for Women, one of the busiest abortion facilities in Louisiana.

The next morning, still distraught by what he found, the homeless man reached out to pro-life activists as they arrived outside the Delta Clinic for their daily vigil.

Check in sheet from the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge showing the names of 13 women who went to the facility for surgical abortions by Nsikan St. Martin. This constitutes HIPAA violations.

Richard Mahoney accompanied the man to the dumpster, where he photographed some of the discarded medical waste that was heavily contaminated with human blood.  Mahoney also photographed a sign-in sheet from the abortion facility that listed the first and last names of thirteen women who were scheduled for abortion procedures with Delta’s abortionist Nsikan St. Martin on April 6, 2021.

Image

Later, Mahoney was contacted by that same homeless man who had wandered to Shreveport and – out of curiosity – checked the unsecured dumpster at the Hope Medical Group for Women on Kings Highway.  There, he found more bloody trash from abortions, an illegally discarded sharps container filled with used needles, and names of women who had them.

But the homeless man made an even more disturbing discovery.

On the bloody blue bed pads he had pulled from one of several illegally dumped biohazard bags, there were bits of human flesh.

A Sharps container along with bags of biohazard infectious waste appeared to have been illegally dumped at the Hope Medical Group for Women in Shreveport, Louisiana.

“It is clear that the human remains, bloody biohazard waste and the identities of women who visited the clinics represent criminal violations of medical infectious waste disposal laws and of HIPAA at both the Baton Rouge and Shreveport abortion facilities,” said Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman.

While neither abortion facility will ever receive a “Good Housekeeping” award, the Delta Clinic has a particularly long history of botched abortions and health violations.  And that’s not to mention the sordid histories of the abortion clinic’s owner and some of their abortionists.  There is documentation to show that the Delta Clinic is a disreputable, slovenly, and dangerous abortion business that poses a danger to the public.

Image
Nsikan St. Martin, shown in her 2015 mug shot.

Nsikan St. Martin is a case in point.  She was arrested on November 1, 2015, during a domestic dispute with her live-in girlfriend. St. Martin had called police and demanded the other woman be removed from the house. In apparent retaliation, that woman informed the police of St. Martin’s drug possession. According to an arrest record posted online, when the police searched her bathroom, “Officers located suspected marijuana, pills identified as Alprazolam [Xanax] and Mepheylphenidate [Ritalin] and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Also, several firearms were located in the bedroom.”

If that was not enough, a former patient posted a bombshell review in 2015 on an online medical site soon after St. Martin’s arrest. She indicated that St. Martin worked as a stripper in New Orleans on her weekends off.

Image

St. Martin returned to work at the Delta Clinic in 2018.  A search of her current Louisiana medical license remarkably showed no record of disciplinary action.

The Delta Clinic is a recent repeat offender when it comes to illegally discarding infectious waste, along with other health and safety violations.

On August 3, 2020, after a full day of abortions, a construction company moved in to conduct renovations on the aging building.  Photographs provided to Operation Rescue by Richard Mahoney showed an open cardboard box with bloody contents like that found by the homeless man in the clinic’s dumpster in April 2021.

Image

Mahoney has filed several complaints against the Delta Clinic when violations have been discovered over the years, but little – if anything – has been done to hold the Delta Clinic accountable.  This time, when he lodged his latest complaint, his frustration showed through.

“I am sadly reporting to you again, for the thousandth time, Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge’s newest violation of medical standards and law,” Mahoney wrote to Department of Health’s head of Regulatory Affairs Stephen Russo, and Carol Duchmann of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME).

He was notified by the LSBME that his complaint related to the April 8th incident was being processed, but so far, nothing has been done to correct the health hazards created by the Delta Clinic’s staff.

The Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge is owned by Leroy T. Brinkley.  If his name sounds familiar, perhaps it should.

Brinkley once owned two abortion facilities in Delaware that operated under the “Atlantic Women’s Services.”  Brinkley hired a Philadelphia abortionist named Kermit Gosnell, to work part time at his Wilmington abortion facility.  There, Gosnell would begin multi-day late term abortions, then refer those women to his West Philadelphia Women’s Medical Society where their abortions would be completed.

Image

Brinkley had referred one of his former Delta Clinic employees, Eileen O’Neill, to Gosnell for work at his late-term abortion facility in Pennsylvania.  She had been employed as an abortionist at Delta from 1998 to roughly 2000, according to a Philadelphia grand jury report that resulted in the arrest of Gosnell, O’Neill, and seven others after police discovered horrific nature of Gosnell’s abortion business where two women had died and an estimated hundreds of viable late-term babies had been born alive only to be murdered by snipping their spinal cords with surgical scissors as they struggled for life.

O’Neill had told investigators in that case that she had quit her job at the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge and relinquished her Louisiana medical license due to what she called “post-traumatic stress,” which speaks volumes about her time at Brinkley’s Delta Clinic.

Gosnell was convicted in 2013 of three counts of First-Degree Murder for the “snipping” deaths of three newborns, and hundreds of other abortion-related crimes.  He was sentenced in February 2014, to life in prison without the possibility of parole.  O’Neill appealed her conviction and was granted a new trial, but she reached an agreement that allowed her to avoid time in prison.

Brinkley’s two Delaware abortion facilities were shut down by the State for violations that included unlicensed abortionists, illegal late-term abortions, disappearing medical records, gross health violations, and aiding in the murder of newborns.

Yet, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Delta Clinic continues to conduct business as usual without any apparent consequences for the actions of its staff.

At the Hope Medical Group for Women, things aren’t much better.

“The behavior at these abortion facilities is truly endangering the public health, yet no one in the Department of Health seems to be particularly concerned about it,” said Newman. “Perhaps if they heard from more people who want to see the laws of Louisiana enforced, it might help motivate them to take action. Both abortion facilities need to be shut down.”

Please contact the Louisiana Department of Health’s Stephen Russo and ask that his department investigate the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge and the Hope Medical Center for Women in Shreveport for illegal dumping of infectious medical waste and other violations.

Dad: My son’s school made him get a COVID vaccine, now he has a heart condition

A 17-year-old student, who recovered from COVID but was required to get the vaccine in order to attend school and play soccer, developed a heart condition soon after getting the Pfizer vaccine.

July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – A 17-year-old student developed symptoms of a heart condition about one week after his first dose of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine and was subsequently diagnosed with a heart condition, his father said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.

The teen already had COVID and recovered, but was required to get the vaccine in order to play soccer.

The teen’s father, Fabio Berlingieri, said his son was vaccinated on June 15, and about a week later started complaining that “his heart was hurting every time he had a heartbeat.”

At first, Berlingieri thought his son had pulled a muscle playing sports. But when the symptoms persisted, he took him to a walk-in clinic. Doctors gave the teen an EKG, and found nothing wrong, but recommended he see a cardiologist the next day. The cardiologist did a sonogram, which again turned up nothing, then ran some bloodwork.

Berlingieri said they were told it would be two or three days before they got results from the bloodwork. When they did, it was “bad news.”

“They called and said ‘your son has to get to the emergency room today,’” Berlingieri said. “I said today’s his prom, can he go later? They said, ‘no, he has to go now.’”

His son’s troponin levels were “off the charts,” Berlingieri explained, adding that his son was hospitalized for a couple of days.

Berlinigieri’s son missed his prom and now can’t do “all the things he loves to do,” including playing soccer in the fall and surfing. The last cardiologist check-in showed that his “EKG was a little off.”

“What happened, I guess, is the oxygen doesn’t get in those areas,” Berlingieri said. “So it has to heal. So he has to be very careful that he doesn’t do anything strenuous so his heart rate doesn’t increase and [put him in] danger of a heart attack.”

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier, who appeared in the interview with Berlingieri, said the way the New York Times and the CDC are presenting the data regarding the adverse effects of vaccines in adolescents is “irresponsible.”

“They cherry-pick the way that they present the data. It’s an all or none approach. They say either adolescents are fully vaccinated or every single one of them is going to get COVID-19. That’s the way they are balancing it right now,” Saphier said.

Saphier said more weight should be given to potential adverse effects, like myocarditis and other heart inflammation issues, when deciding who should be vaccinated. She also encouraged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to look closer at vaccines before recommending a universal policy.

When told the teen previously had COVID and recovered, Saphier said:

“Well, unfortunately, they still continue to deny natural immunity having a robust protection, and the truth is it does. We have just as much data showing natural immunity having a strong protective effect as we do the vaccines, but they continue to stop and not acknowledge it.

Fabio, for himself and his family likely still had positive antibodies. He likely didn’t need the vaccine right now. And here he is not even able to play soccer because he got the vaccine for soccer. It’s irresponsible. It doesn’t make sense. And the FDA needs to look a little bit closer at these vaccines before they continue having universal recommendations.”

Myocarditis is a rare autoimmune inflammatory disease, where the immune system attacks the heart muscle and damages it. When the heart muscle is attacked by the immune system, the damaged cells release a protein called troponin into the bloodstream, according to Dr. Hooman Noorchasm, a cardiothoracic surgeon and immunologist.

“Doctors can detect evidence of heart damage, even when there are few clinical signs of heart trouble, by measuring a blood troponin level,” said Noorchasm. “Normally, this protein is undetectable in healthy persons who are not having a heart attack or are not experiencing myocarditis.”

Pfizer’s COVID vaccine is currently authorized for use in individuals 12 and older. Younger children, between the ages of 5 and 11, could become eligible to receive a COVID vaccine by September or October, according to a top executive at Pfizer.

As The Defender reported, on June 25 the FDA added a warning to fact sheets — as advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices — for Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines indicating an increased risk of myocarditis and pericarditis following vaccination.

The warning notes reports of adverse events suggest increased risks of myocarditis and pericarditis, particularly following the second dose and with onset of symptoms within a few days after vaccination.

According to the most recent data in the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), there have been a total of 1,576 cases of myocarditis and pericarditis between December 14 and June 28. Of those 1,576 cases, 1,001 cases are attributed to Pfizer, 523 cases to Moderna and 48 cases to J&J’s COVID vaccine.

FDA to add warning to J&J vaccine of ‘serious but rare’ autoimmune disorder

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will announce a new warning on Johnson & Johnson’s COVID vaccine saying the shot is linked to Guillain–Barré syndrome. In April, the agency added a warning about blood clotting disorders to the J&J shot.

July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will announce a new warning on Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) COVID vaccine saying the shot has been linked to Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), a “serious but rare” autoimmune disorder. The Washington Post attributed the news to “four individuals familiar with the situation.”

According to The New York Times, the chances of developing GBS after receiving the J&J shot is three to five times higher than would be expected in the general population in the U.S.

About 100 preliminary reports in the U.S. of GBS have been detected after receiving J&J’s vaccine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a statement to CNN today. Most cases were reported about two weeks after vaccination, mostly in men 50 and older.

The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) is expected to discuss the GBS cases during an upcoming meeting, the CDC said.

GBS is a rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system — the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord — and can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to paralysis, leaving the person unable to breathe independently.

While the cause of GBS is not fully known, it often follows infection with a virus and has been linked to other vaccines.

The FDA has concluded the benefits of the vaccine outweigh any danger, but will include the proviso in fact sheets about the drug for providers and patients.

“It’s not surprising to find these types of adverse events associated with vaccination,” said Dr. Luciana Borio, former acting chief scientist at the FDA. The data collected so far by the FDA, Borio said, suggest the vaccine’s benefits “continue to vastly outweigh the risks.”

Reports of GBS are rare, the CDC said, “but do likely indicate a small possible risk of this side effect following” the J&J vaccine.

Federal officials identified the 100 suspected cases of GBS among recipients of the J&J shot through the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) — a federal monitoring system that relies on patients and health care providers to report adverse effects of vaccines.

According to the most recent data from VAERS, between Dec. 14, 2020 and July 2, there were 398 reports of GBS with 187 of cases attributed to Pfizer, 159 to Moderna and 76 cases to J&J.

No link has been found between GBS and mRNA COVID vaccines developed by Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna despite reports in VAERS.

The VAERS database indicates onset of GBS symptoms after the J&J vaccine within about three weeks of vaccination, The New York Times reported. One recipient, a 57-year-old man from Delaware who had suffered both a heart attack and a stroke within the last four years, died in early April after he was vaccinated and developed GBS.

As The Defender reported July 8, a third grade teacher developed GBS three weeks after receiving J&J’s COVID vaccine. Stacie [last name unknown] went to the emergency room several times after getting the shot because she was experiencing numbness of the lower extremities, but was sent home when tests were inconclusive.

The numbness continued to progress and Stacie eventually lost her ability to stand and walk. She was then hospitalized and diagnosed with GBS.

Gary Spaulding was an active landscaper who experienced a severe headache after receiving J&J’s COVID vaccine, causing him to go to the emergency room. Doctors immediately diagnosed Spaulding with Lyme Disease. Treatment was started, but numbness and tingling in his extremities progressed. After doctors initiated tests to determine the cause of the escalating series of symptoms, Spaulding was diagnosed with GBS.

Doctors believe Spaulding’s immune system, which was fighting Lyme Disease, was overstimulated by the COVID vaccine causing it to attack the myelin — the protective insulation that surrounds nerves, including those in the brain and spinal cord.

Treatment was immediate and successful in arresting the progression of the disease, but not before Spaulding was almost completely paralyzed.

In April, The Defender reported on a Texas teenager diagnosed with GBS a few weeks after his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The teen said he believed the vaccine was to blame, according to a local Houston news channel KPRC2 report.

“I wanted to get the vaccine,” said Wyatt McGlaun, a high school senior from The Woodlands. “I felt it was the right thing to do. I wanted to travel and enjoy my last summer before college.”

A few weeks after receiving the vaccine, McGlaun became weak and had difficulty walking. He was admitted to CHI St. Luke’s Health where he was diagnosed with GBS. News reports did not disclose which vaccine the teen received.

J&J linked to blood-clotting disorders

This is the second time J&J’s COVID vaccine has been linked to a severe adverse reaction. On April 13, federal officials temporarily paused the J&J shot after confirming health officials were investigating six cases of blood clots in the U.S.

During the April 23 meeting, the ACIP said it had found 15 women diagnosed with rare blood clots, including three who died. Only two of the women were older than 50, with the risk highest in women ages 30 to 39.

The CDC advisory safety committee said the link between blood clots and J&J’s COVID vaccine was “plausible,” but concluded the vaccine’s benefits still outweigh the risks and recommended the vaccine for persons 18 years of age and older in the U.S. under the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

On April 26, the FDA amended it’s EUA for the J&J vaccine to reflect the risk of rare blood clots and said vaccinations could resume immediately.

July 13, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – Data released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) included 9,049 reports of deaths, across all age groups, following COVID vaccines — an increase of more than 2,000 compared with the previous week. The data comes directly from reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

VAERS is the primary government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S. Reports submitted to VAERS require further investigation before a causal relationship can be confirmed.

Every Friday, VAERS makes public all vaccine injury reports received as of a specified date, usually about a week prior to the release date.

Data released today show that between Dec. 14, 2020 and July 2, 2021, a total of 438,441 total adverse events were reported to VAERS, including 9,048 deaths — an increase of 2,063 over the previous week. There were 41,015 serious injuries reported during the same time period — up 6,950 compared with last week.

In the U.S, 328.9 million COVID vaccine doses had been administered as of July 2. This includes: 134 million doses of Moderna’s vaccine, 182 million doses of Pfizer and 13 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID vaccine.

Of the 9,048 deaths reported as of July 2, 22% occurred within 48 hours of vaccination, 15% occurred within 24 hours and 37% occurred in people who became ill within 48 hours of being vaccinated.

This week’s data for 12- to 17-year-olds show:

This week’s total VAERS data, from Dec. 14, 2020 to July 2, 2021, for all age groups show:

Pfizer says boosters needed, U.S. federal health agencies, scientists disagree

As The Defender reported today, U.S. federal health agencies and the maker of one of the most popular COVID vaccines are publicly at odds over if or when fully vaccinated people will need a third “booster” dose.

Pfizer announced Thursday it will seek Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA in August for a third dose of its COVID vaccine. The drugmaker predicted those who have been fully vaccinated will need a booster shot within six to 12 months of receiving their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

But the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) hours later issued a joint statement by the FDA and Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) saying, “Americans who have been fully vaccinated do not need a booster shot at this time.”

The HHS statement did not explicitly mention Pfizer, but said “a science-based, rigorous process” headed by the CDC, FDA and the National Institutes of Health would determine when or whether boosters were necessary.

Pfizer’s assertions about the need for boosters contradict other research, and several experts pushed back against the claim.

“There’s really no indication for a third booster or a third dose of an mRNA vaccine, given the variants that we have circulating at this time,” Dr. Céline Gounder, an infectious disease specialist at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York, told the New York Times. “In fact, many of us question whether you will ever need boosters.”

John P. Moore, professor of microbiology and immunology at Weill Cornell Medicine, told the Washington Post:

“No one is saying we’ll never need a booster, but to say we need it now and give the public the impression the vaccines are failing and something needs to be done as a matter of urgency. … The time isn’t now. The decisions that are going to be made will be made by federal agencies.”

Pfizer and BioNTech are developing a version of their COVID vaccine that targets the Delta variantThe New York Times reported this week. The companies expect to begin clinical trials of the vaccine in August.

Pfizer and BioNTech reported — based on their own studies that have not been published, nor peer-reviewed, according to the Times — that a booster given six months after the second dose of vaccine increased the potency of antibodies against the original virus and the Beta variant by five- to tenfold.

Vaccine efficacy may decline six months after immunization, the companies said in a news release, and booster doses may be needed to fend off virus variants. The vaccine makers said they will submit their findings to the FDA in the coming weeks, a step toward gaining authorization for booster shots.

17-year-old student required to get vaccinated suffers heart condition

Concerns around COVID vaccines and heart inflammation, especially in young males, continue to circulate. But according to an update posted today on the CDC website, the agency’s researchers have concluded the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks of myocarditis after vaccination.

European drug regulators today announced they also have found a “possible link” between a “very rare heart inflammation” and the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, but sided with U.S. regulators, saying they also believe the benefits of the shots outweighed any risks.

Meanwhile, The Defender continues to report on teens who have experienced heart issues after taking the vaccines — including a 17-year-old student who developed symptoms of a heart condition about one week after his first dose of Pfizer’s COVID and subsequently was diagnosed with a heart condition.

The teen’s father, Fabio Berlingieri, told “Fox & Friends” his son had COVID and recovered, but was required to get the vaccine in order to play soccer.

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier, who appeared in the interview with Berlingieri, said the way the New York Times and the CDC are presenting the data regarding the adverse effects of vaccines in adolescents is “irresponsible.”

“They cherry-pick the way they present the data.

She also encouraged the FDA to look closer at vaccines before recommending a universal policy.

Hundreds injured by COVID vaccines turn to GoFundMe for help

As reports of adverse events to COVID vaccines continue to grow in number, those injured by the vaccines are struggling to pay their medical bills.

As The Defender reported July 8, more than 180 people injured by COVID vaccines have had to turn to GoFundMe for help with large medical bills and other expenses, including Emma Burkey — the high school senior who underwent three brain surgeries due to blood clots after receiving J&J’s COVID vaccine.

People facing huge medical bills after being injured by COVID vaccines have few options, beyond what their own health insurance covers. That’s because under federal law, vaccine makers are shielded from liability.

Those injured by COVID vaccines can only file a claim for compensation through the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), run by HHS.

Since June 1, the CICP reported 869 pending cases but offered no further information. Since the program’s inception in 2010, only 29 claims have been paid, with an average payout of around $200,000. The other 452 claims (91.4%) were denied. Ten claims won approval but were deemed ineligible for compensation.

Biden plans to deploy federal teams in door-to-door COVID vaccine campaign

Making no mention of any safety concerns related to the vaccines, President Joe Biden this week announced plans to ramp up the federal government’s efforts to get more Americans vaccinated under a new “door-to-door” program.

As The Defender reported this week, under Biden’s program, the White House will deploy teams of officials from the CDC, Federal Emergency Management Administration and other federal health agencies. Biden suggested the unique door-knocking approach was needed now that “we are continuing to wind down the mass vaccination sites that did so much in the spring.”

Biden said the administration will also “step up efforts to get vaccines to doctors who serve younger people so that adolescents ages 12 to 18 can get vaccinated and — as they go for back-to-school check-ups or getting ready for their physicals they need for fall sports.”

Biden cited concerns over the COVID Delta variant, which he said is more transmissible and has forced some European countries to return to lockdowns. He did not mention any of the safety concerns previously noted by the CDC and FDA, including blood clots and heart inflammation, associated with the vaccines.

Number of cases among fully vaccinated continue to climb

Reports of COVID breakthrough cases among fully vaccinated people continue to rise, as The Defender reported earlier this week. As of June 28, the CDC reported 4,686 breakthrough cases resulting in death and hospitalization.

Nearly 30 people in Louisiana who were fully vaccinated against COVID died from the virus, according to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). Dr. Joseph Kanter, LDH state health officer and medical director, said 27 people between the ages of 28 and 93 have died with COVID more than two weeks after being fully vaccinated.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, more than 7,550 breakthrough cases have been reported, through June 23, in Californians who were fully vaccinated. Most cases were minor, but 62 people died from COVID, according to the California Department of Public Health.

California’s public health agency reported 584 fully vaccinated people had been hospitalized with COVID infection, but hospitalization status wasn’t available for 46% of post-vaccination cases. On July 7, state health officials reported 2,013 new infections among all Californians, including 24 deaths.

According to a report by the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), breakthrough cases have resulted in 140 hospitalizations and 20 deaths in the state. As of May 1, TDH has not counted all breakthrough cases as the CDC “asked that only severe outcomes (hospitalization or death) be reported.”

123 days and counting, CDC ignores The Defender’s inquiries

According to the CDC website, “the CDC follows up on any report of death to request additional information and learn more about what occurred and to determine whether the death was a result of the vaccine or unrelated.”

On March 8, The Defender contacted the CDC with a written list of questions about reported deaths and injuries related to COVID vaccines. After repeated attempts, by phone and email, to obtain a response to our questions, a health communications specialist from the CDC’s Vaccine Task Force contacted us on March 29 — three weeks after our initial inquiry.

The individual received our request for information from VAERS, but said she had never received our list of questions, even though employees we talked to several times said CDC press officers were working through the questions and confirmed the representative had received them. We provided the list of questions again along with a new deadline, but never received a response.

On May 19, a CDC employee said our questions had been reviewed and our inquiry was pending in their system, but would not provide us with a copy of the response. We were told we would be contacted by phone or email with the response.

We have contacted the CDC numerous times since and were told nobody knew the specialist from the agency’s Vaccine Task Force who contacted us in March, and our request was still pending in the system. It has been 123 days since we sent our first email inquiring into VAERS data and reports and we have yet to receive a response.

Children’s Health Defense asks anyone who has experienced an adverse reaction, to any vaccine, to file a report following these three steps.

Bishop Strickland says he is ‘troubled’ by Fr. Altman’s suspension

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – In the wake of Bishop William Callahan of the Diocese of La Crosse removing outspoken cleric Father James Altman from his parish and suspending his priestly faculties, Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas issued a message of support for Altman’s previous defense of Catholic morality, and called on the outspoken priest to now practice the “humility of obedience.”

Altman, whose viral video “You Can’t be a Catholic and a Democrat” catapulted him to fame, publicly clashed with his bishop in recent months. Bishop Callahan had asked him to resign, and Altman told LifeSite at the end of June that his ousting was imminent.

Speaking with LifeSite’s John-Henry Westen after the event finally occurred, Altman described the suspension of his faculties as an “interference with the feeding of God’s children, which is through Word and through the Sacrament.”

In light of Altman’s suspension, Father Mark Goring spoke with Bishop Strickland, who has previously expressed vocal support for Altman.

Strickland revealed he was “troubled” to hear of Altman’s removal from the parish. Noting that neither he nor Goring knew the precise details of the entire situation, Strickland warned that “in the present climate, Fr. Altman is well known, and I was troubled because it seems that a voice of truth is being silenced.”

Goring warned that the “climate” within the Church, as referenced by Bishop Strickland, was drifting towards “a kind of liberal Protestantism,” which Altman had been speaking against.

“When someone like Father James Altman rises and speaks against this grave error, faithful Catholics [are] relieved to hear that. To hear a voice like that has been silenced, it’s kind of concerning,” added Goring.

“People are hearing him boldly speaking the truth,” agreed Bishop Strickland. Strickland revealed that Altman had “certainly” expressed opinions that he did not agree with, but “when it comes to boldly teaching what our Catholic faith teaches, people are hearing him as a voice of that truth, and it’s a shame for it to be silenced.”

“Maybe there are very good reasons if we knew the whole story, but I think we need to know more of the story in the present climate, and to acknowledge that some of Fr. Altman’s opinions - they’re his opinions. People don’t need our opinions as priests and bishops: they need the Catholic faith.”

Strickland had previously expressed similar words to Fr. Altman. In a June 2021 episode of the Bishop Strickland Show, he noted that he would continue to support the outspoken cleric, not due to the opinions of the priest, but because “he’s teaching the truth of the Gospel.”

Speaking to Fr. Goring, Strickland explained that the reason he has supported Altman is due to his defense of “the sanctity of life, from conception to natural death.” He referenced Fr. Altman’s public teaching that Catholics could not support anyone who supports “the killing of the unborn.”

“That’s a very basic issue that he’s been very clear on,” stated Strickland. “It is clear Catholic teaching. We consider abortion to be intrinsically evil. Also on same-sex ‘marriage,’ he’s been very clear on that.”

The bishop also gave some words of counsel to Fr. Altman, urging him to now practice the virtue of “obedience.”

“I believe deeply, personally, and in the whole structure of the Church, the humility of obedience is something that is of very strong, spiritual value,” he said.

“I know that gets frustrating when your being asked to be obedient in a way that you think is inappropriate, but I would advise, and I presume he has, to look at that question of balancing obedience with the truth.”

The bishop also spoke of a point when “all of us have to choose between living the truth, and being obedient,” describing it as a “tough decision to make.”

In addition to his counsel to “be careful about obedience,” Bishop Strickland also encouraged Fr. Altman to “take all of it to prayer,” in order to be obedient, “ultimately to the truth.”

“Fr. Altman is obligated to be obedient, but obedient to the truth and obedient to his bishop. He’s got to prayerfully find that proper place for how that’s balanced in his situation.”

Bishop Strickland closed by calling for prayers, not just for Fr. Altman, but also for his bishop, so that Bishop Callahan might also be “obedient to God’s truth and to his responsibilities as a bishop.

France to make COVID jabs mandatory for many, life ‘totally impossible’ without COVID passport

'Vaccination is not yet mandatory for everyone, but we're going to extend the sanitary pass as much as possible to push as many of you as possible to get vaccinated,' President Emmanuel Macron said, while also explicitly refusing to rule out compulsory vaccination for all French people.

ANALYSIS

PARIS, France, July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Compulsory COVID “vaccination” for health workers and extended sanitary passport requirements are the most spectacular measures announced this Monday evening by Emmanuel Macron, France’s globalist president. The announcements were made during a televised speech during which the French president made clear that all the new measures have a single objective: to get more and more citizens to choose to receive the experimental vaccine. If that does not work, making the jab compulsory for all may be considered.

But Macron wants more than that. In order to stop “even more dangerous variants” from making an appearance, he said an “immense project” needs to be implemented: “To vaccinate the world.”

Moreover Macron explicitly refused to rule out compulsory vaccination for all French people.

For the millions of you who have not yet been vaccinated, depending on the evolution of the situation we will have to raise the question of compulsory vaccination for all French people. But for now I chose trust, and I solemnly call on all our fellow citizens who haven't yet been vaccinated to do so today. Nine million doses are ready for you.

The French government used the pretext of the growing prevalence of the so-called Delta (or Indian) variant, which is more contagious but less of a killer than the already not-so-lethal original Wuhan coronavirus to introduce compulsory vaccination in limited categories of the population. The move is presented as the “only way” to avoid further lockdowns, for which the non-vaccinated will be held responsible from now on.

Macron stated that the “vaccines” available in France (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen) are extremely efficient against the Delta variant, dividing contagions “by twelve” and avoid “95 percent” of hospitalizations. In the U.K., where vaccination is particularly widespread, the number of “cases” is rising fast, mainly with the Delta variant. And among the people whose death was attributed to the Delta variant – which is not many, because it is not very lethal – about half were fully vaccinated.

The jab is also being touted as the only way to avoid total economic collapse; the French employers’ organization “MEDEF” has been campaigning intensively for compulsory vaccination of all workers in contact with the public.

Macron stated: “We must move towards the vaccination of all the French, because it is the only pathway to the return to normal life. As a first stage, it will be mandatory for people in the health professions, care-givers or not.” At the same time, he asked the French to continue to observe social distancing.

READ: Will COVID vaccines really bring us back to normal?

While the vaccine tyranny is not yet complete, a number of elements are in place that will make it easy to implement – if there is not an energetic reaction on the part of the public.

As things stand, the experimental “vaccine” – which at present has only a “conditional” marketing authorization, will be made obligatory “without waiting” for all employees – both health workers and administrative personnel – of hospitals, clinics, rest-homes for the elderly and institutions for the disabled. All people who are in contact with “fragile” populations, either in institutions or in their homes, will also be required to receive the experimental shots, be they professionals or voluntary workers. First responders and all health service workers in whatever context are included among the “70 professions” who will need to get the jab.

As of September 15, all those who continue to refuse the experimental “vaccination” will “no longer be allowed to work and will receive no pay,” health minister Olivier Véran made clear later on a news show on national television. Macron had already stated that from that date, “controls will be carried out and sanctions applied.”

The measure will take the form of a law voted by Parliament. A special parliamentary session will open on July 21 in order to adopt the text before the summer recess.

Unfortunately, none of the major political parties is expected to resist against mandatory vaccination for these first groups of citizens in what many see as only a first step to a universal mandate.

This is in direct contradiction with the promises made by Macron in November and again in December. On November 24, 2020, he declared: “Vaccination must be done in a clear, transparent way, sharing all the information at each step: what we know, as well as what we don't know. I also want to be clear: I will not make vaccination mandatory.”

On December 27, the French president tweeted: “I have said it before and I will say it again: the vaccine will not be mandatory. Let us have confidence in our researchers and doctors. We are the country of the Enlightenment and of Pasteur, reason and science must guide us.”

But as a famous French politician, Charles Pasqua, once said: “Promises are only binding to those who listen to them.”

The sanitary pass system that was made compulsory for events with over 1,000 participants and other venues such as night-clubs since last month will be extended as of July 21 to all “culture and leisure venues” for more than 50 visitors, from 12 years of age up.

“It will be necessary to have been vaccinated or to have a negative test in order to gain access to a show, an amusement park, a concert or a festival,” said Macron.

“Starting in the beginning of August, the sanitary pass will apply to cafés, restaurants, hospitals, rest homes for the elderly and long-distance transportation: airplanes, trains and long-distance buses,” added Macron. Visitors to shopping centers will also need a sanitary pass. The obligation will also extend to restaurant and café terraces, added government spokesman Gabriel Attal on pro-Macron television station BFMTV. All employees of such establishments will also need to be vaccinated or show a negative COVID test. The list may be widened, Macron said.

France’s health minister Olivier Véran has said that the pass will not be required for entry to grocery stores.

It is not clear at this point whether the obligation will be extended to places of worship.

Negative tests are only valid for 48 hours. In an added twist, PCR tests will no longer be funded by the social security system as of October, except when prescribed for symptomatic patients: people who do not want to be vaccinated and who still want to lead a normal life would need to pay for three COVID tests per week. This measure, said Macron, is intended to push people to accept vaccination.

Macron introduced these new restrictions because, he said, “vaccination levels are not sufficient.”

“Everywhere in France, we will recognize those with civic spirit and only impose restrictions on the non-vaccinated, rather than on everyone.”

Professor Laurent Alexandre, a prominent specialist on transhumanism and artificial intelligence who has repeatedly been invited by news shows to ridicule and oppose those who resist COVID restrictions and vaccination, was wildly enthusiastic on Twitter.

He wrote: “The anti-vaxxers have lost their battle. The vaccine has become as good as compulsory. It’s impossible to live without being vaccinated. You would need 15 PCRs per month because the validity of the PCR is reduced to 2 days and because the pass is necessary for everyday life.”

Minutes later, he added: “Frankly I did not think Emmanuel Macron would make the vaccine mandatory de facto. Without a pass life is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE; you can’t even catch a train or go to have a coffee. And it’s inhuman to get 15 PCRs a month!”

Macron made other announcements showing that none of the warning signs concerning the serious health risks associated with the “vaccines” are being taken into account. As of September, high school students and college students will face specific vaccination campaigns in their schools and universities, while people who got jabs at the beginning of 2021 will be offered boosters.

Unvaccinated travelers from “high risk” countries will be subject to “compulsory isolation.”

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – In this episode of The John-Henry Westen Show, I speak with Catholic attorney Liz Yore about the Coalition for Canceled Priests, which was founded to defend clergy who are being persecuted for faithfully teaching Church doctrine. She calls on the laity to rally and mobilize behind holy priests like Father James Altman, who was recently “canceled” by his Bishop William Callahan.

Yore tells me how she was inspired to support the Coalition for Canceled Priests. “I feel like this is a moment where all the forces are closing in on the Church, and we do need our good, holy priests.” She says that the laity have said “enough is enough” to the tearing apart of the Church, and that they will not stand idly by while some bishops attempt to rob them our orthodox clergy.

She also told me that it is “absolutely critical that we continue to support Father Altman as he speaks on behalf of the baby in the womb.” She highlights how the current battle in the Church and the world “all comes down to life,” and notes that Fr. Altman was a leader in calling out pro-abortion “Catholic” Democrat politicians.

Yore further describes ways in which every Catholic can come to the aid of persecuted priests. She states that the faithful “must stop donating to unfaithful parishes,” and instead use their financial resources to support “canceled” clergy. She calls on the laity to cause “a paradigm shift” to take back the culture by “getting on the street and fighting for truth.”

More importantly, Yore encourages men and women of all ages to “tap into that … Catholic imagination” and work to bring the faithful back into the Church and to continue fighting this “epic battle.”

A Catholic in Saudi Arabia has good reason to prefer living there over his native Australia

In the Moslem country, faith is assumed; in a modern Western country, faithlessness is assumed.

July 13, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) -- A reader who came across my article “Between Christ the King and ‘We Have No King But Caesar,’” in which I defend the superiority of Catholic Monarchy over other forms of government, wrote to me with a question.

I was wondering, given the absence of true Catholic Monarchy today, our duty to submit to legitimate authorities, and “a world crashing around us into unimaginable deviancy,” what you thought our best options were. My feeling is that any form of theistic integralism — Calvinist, Lutheran, Mohammedan, or Jewish — would be preferable to the twin visions of Hell shown us by the Renegade Mainland Provinces and the Rebel North American Colonies. What do you think?

I replied that one might be torn on the question of whether a non-Catholic but religious regime is better than a secular one. It was surely not good for English Catholics when they suffered under Queen Elizabeth I, and it’s not good for today’s Catholics to be in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. On the other hand, there’s the saying about how the lukewarm will be vomited forth. People go more easily from false zeal to true zeal than they do from total indifference to religious faith. In that sense, a religious society is better off than an irreligious or non-religious society, and the same would seem to be true of governments.

When I wrote this, I had no idea that my interlocutor actually lived in Saudi Arabia! In response, he told me what it has been like for him to live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the past two years. He admitted that he’s in a privileged position as a white-collar worker in a part of the country where crossing the causeway to Bahrain to attend Mass is possible, but he feels less under siege as a Catholic in Saudi Arabia than he did in a quiet university town in Australia, for the following reasons.

The rules in Saudi Arabia are settled and stable, and being based on an authority that is seen as Divine, bind the King as much as the least of his subjects. While the details may change over time, the extent of possible change has been pretty well-established by historical experiment, so the map of possible permutations is not hard to predict. It is not like the West today, where they are making rules up as they go along, and where each year brings fresh hell for Christians and conservatives.

The things he’s not allowed to say are relatively few, and are not things he feels tempted to say anyway. Practically every day at his Australian university, on the other hand, he had to choke back something he wanted desperately to say that he knew would get him in trouble.

Moreover, “locals think better of the Christians than we deserve, and assume all Westerners are Christians.” Even Saudi co-workers who earned graduate degrees in Chicago or Manchester cannot really process that atheists exist in the world. So one would have to go out of one’s way to deny Christ in Saudi Arabia. In Australia, on the other hand, the default assumption of most people he met socially was that he would surely be a progressive atheist (since that’s seen as the only intelligent view), and he was often faced with the temptation to keep quiet to avoid an uncomfortable argument. In other words, in the Moslem country, faith is assumed; in a modern Western country, faithlessness is assumed.

Most movingly, he wrote, “It is a tremendous joy for me to wake up every morning in a place where the unborn are not being legally slaughtered. It is a lesser joy, but still a great one, to wake up every morning and know that the public square will not be pushing perversion at me all day long, in whatever ‘woke’ form it happens to take in the current calendar year.”

He said he appreciated the fact that there are things the State forbids him to do for the good of his soul — limits on his liberty that are less onerous than the ones Westerners put up with all over the world solely for the good of their bodies. Even if many of the Saudi restrictions may not actually be good for one’s soul, there is at least an acknowledgement that the soul is real and primary. In other parts of the so-called “free world,” the government is either studiously indifferent to the eternal welfare of its citizens or actively (though, one would hope, unwittingly) working to ensure their damnation.

His concluding thought was powerful: “So, although I considered myself fairly integralist before moving to Saudi Arabia, I am now much more integralist, having seen the ‘form’ of integralism in action, without its true ‘matter.’ In short: I would love to live in a Catholic version of this country, for that would unite the correct formality of government with the content of the truth.”

The perhaps surprising reflections of this Australian Catholic now residing in Saudi Arabia help us to step outside the bubble of our comfortable liberalism. The lack of secularism and the insistence that there is a divine order and that the political order must correspond to it makes an environment more true to reality and more human, even when religious error predominates. It shows the naturalness and rightness of integralism as a logical, coherent, and supportive mode of living. Liberalism is the illusion that it is possible to separate politics from its divine origin and finality and to understand citizenship in abstraction from the personal religious commitment of citizens. Liberalism seduces us into creating what we think is a neutral “God-free” space, which turns out to be a shrine in which the ego is erected as an idol. Where God is dethroned, the world, the flesh, and the devil rush in to fill the void.
