OTTAWA, Ontario, July 21, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The Canadian federal government is getting rid of its controversial three-day mandatory quarantine hotel stay for all air travelers as part of a border reopening program.

Starting August 9, the much-contested three-night “government authorized hotel stay requirement will be eliminated for all travellers,” reads a statement from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) dated July 19.

“Fully vaccinated travellers who meet the requirements will be exempt from quarantine; however, all travellers must still provide a quarantine plan and be prepared to quarantine in case it is determined at the border that they do not meet the necessary requirements,” the PHAC statement advised.

Also effective August 9, U.S. citizens who have been “fully vaccinated” at least 14 days before their trip with a COVID-19 jab approved by Health Canada will be allowed to visit.

Travelers are allowed to bring their kids with them who have not had the COVID-19 jabs. That means U.S. citizens who have chosen not to get the COVID-19 jab will be barred from visiting the country for leisure purposes for the moment.

Fully jabbed travelers starting August 9 will also be allowed to skip a mandatory COVID-19 pre- and post-arrival PCR test unless they are randomly selected for one. Unvaccinated travelers still must take mandatory COVID-19 tests and quarantine at home for two weeks upon arrival.

In late January, the government announced that all air travelers would have to submit to a mandatory hotel quarantine for at least three nights while waiting for test results from a mandatory COVID-19 test given upon arrival.

Canadian Minister of Health Patty Hajdu said the new changes announced are being made due to “rising vaccination rates and fewer cases in Canada.”

“We can begin to safely ease border measures. A gradual approach to reopening will allow our health authorities to monitor the COVID-19 situation here and abroad. Canadians have worked hard and sacrificed for each other, and because of that work, we can take these next steps safely,” said Hajdu.

Starting September 7, Canada will also allow only “fully vaccinated” tourists from other countries to visit. On August 9, Canada will also allow five additional airports to accept international flights, up from the current four.

Vancouver International airport has installed lines for those with and without the COVID-19 jabs, which one must queue through upon entering Canada.

According to the airport's website, passengers are now split into “vaccinated and non/partially-vaccinated queues before reaching Customs.”

The federal government says that to be considered “fully vaccinated” a traveler must have received the full two doses of a government-approved COVID-19 jab “at least 14 days prior to entering Canada.”

All travelers entering Canada will be subject to a new border screening program that uses biometrics.

The government will use its “new border testing surveillance program at airports and land border crossings.”

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) had earlier announced that there was an “urgent” need to create an “Office of Biometrics and Identity Management” that could be used to verify the vaccine status of all Canadian and foreign travelers who enter the country.

PHAC’s statement says travelers wanting to use their vaccination status to travel to Canada for leisure reasons must use the ArriveCAN app or web portal upon arrival in Canada. Travelers must use the app to upload their COVID-19 information and must have a paper or digital copy proving their COVID-19 jab status.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in mid-July that “fully vaccinated” U.S. citizens would be allowed to visit Canada in August.

Since July 5, Canadian air travelers coming home who have had two doses of a COVID-19 shot do not have to quarantine for 14 days.

Many resisted the mandatory hotel stays, which led to lawsuits against the federal government.

The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) was part of a lawsuit against the federal government and represented 10 clients.

One of its clients included Pastor Nicole Mathis. The JCCF said she “was forced against her will” into a “federal quarantine facility and detained for three nights” because her negative COVID-19 test was not accepted by Canadian Public Health officials.

However, in June, Canada’s federal court ruled that quarantine hotels imposed by the government of Trudeau since January — and for which travelers must pay — are constitutional. The court, however, also ruled that a pastor’s rights were violated when she was confined to a quarantine hotel against her will.

Health Canada has authorized four COVID-19 injections for adults, all with connections to abortion. They also have been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young healthy men.

A Bloomberg report states that around half of the U.S. population are considered to be fully jabbed with a COVID-19 injection.

Trudeau said in June that this autumn his government will be rolling out a type of “national certification of vaccination status” that travelers can use to prove they’ve had the “full” two doses of the COVID-19 jab.

When it comes to the provincial level, Trudeau has said it is up to the provinces to decide whether or not to have a local type of vaccine passport.

Just recently, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he will not force residents of his province to be inoculated against COVID-19.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney also recently said his government will neither introduce a provincial “vaccine passport” nor accept one if imposed at the federal level.

However, two other Canadian provinces (Manitoba and Quebec) have gone ahead with forms of proof of vaccination for non-essential services, those being.

Allison Kindle Pejovic, a lawyer for Canada’s Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), told LifeSiteNews in June that the vaccine passport created by the province of Manitoba creates a society that is unequal.

“This vaccine passport system creates a two-tiered society whereby those who have chosen to be vaccinated are treated differently and discriminatorily compared to those who have not chosen to get the vaccine,” she said.

Pro-lifers press on through angry mob during Rosary procession for the unborn in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, New York, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – During a Witness for Life Rosary procession in New York earlier this month, pro-abortion protesters attempted to block pro-lifers as they processed from a Catholic Church to a Planned Parenthood abortion center.

Beginning this year, pro-lifers have been gathering at St. Paul’s Church in Brooklyn every second Saturday of the month to defend the unborn. They begin at 8 a.m. with Mass, followed by the Rosary procession to the local Planned Parenthood facility seven blocks away.

On Saturday, July 10, about 80 pro-lifers were met by protesters from the group New York City for Abortion Rights (NYCFAR). The abortion activists gathered outside the church and screamed pro-murder chants throughout the Mass. This is the second time in which NYCFAR organized a counterprotest, disrupting the June 12 procession as well.

Despite police presence, it took two hours to traverse the seven blocks to the abortion clinic. LifeSite interviewed participants, including veteran pro-life activist and Red Rose Rescuer Father Fidelis Moscinski, the leader of Witness for Life in Manhattan.

Father Moscinski said, “It was a beautiful, but challenging time of prayer, intercession, especially as we were standing at the Planned Parenthood and processing there praying for the women who were going in, and also for this group that was obstructing us today.”

“Jesus said, ‘Blessed are those who are persecuted for the kingdom of heaven, for the sake of justice,’ and in a sense, we experienced some taste of that today,” he continued. “We were blessed even though we were reviled and spoken evil of by that group.”

“The Lord sent us on this mission to give testimony to our faith in Him and to the sanctity of life. I can’t help but think that if there were Catholics in every city in this country, in all the churches, were gathering in prayer and then in procession to the abortion clinics, abortion would end very quickly in our country,” he added.

Another veteran pro-lifer, Joan Andrews Bell, said she was grateful to “be here at a killing center here in Brooklyn, just to love the little babies. It may be the only love that they will know on this earth before they go back to God.”

She also said she desired “to love and pray for [the] moms and dads [of aborted babies] that they have a great conversion, and we can enjoy them all in paradise someday.”

On Monday, St. Paul’s Church received 100 threatening phone calls, Catholic News Agency reported. Protesters also wrote “this church harasses women” with chalk on the sidewalk.

After the event, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of the Diocese of Brooklyn told CNA, “One of our guaranteed rights in this nation is the freedom of speech, which allows us the opportunity to engage in respectful debate and make our beliefs known.”

“May we pray for peace and tolerance within our society, as we continue to encourage decisions that promote the sanctity of human life,” he continued.

Pope names leftist bishop to Vatican Congregation for Bishops

As a priest, Bishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva famously baptized one-year-old twins who were conceived by hiring a surrogate mother. One of the twins' 'parents' is a transsexual.

ANALYSIS

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Pope Francis has named Bishop Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva of the Diocese of Rio Gallegos in the extreme southern region of Tierra del Fuego in Argentina a member of the Congregation for Bishops. Commonly known as “the most Bergoglian bishop in Argentina,” García Cuerva will be expected to travel regularly to Rome and to participate in the work of this crucially important dicastery, whose role is to name and monitor bishops, create new ecclesiastic territories, and organize ad limina visits of bishops to the Pope.

The nomination is highly symbolic, not least because García Cuerva has shown his openness to transsexuals in different ways, baptizing the twins of a couple composed by two men, one of them a transsexual, and failing adequately to sanction a priest of his diocese who, earlier this year, organized the “marriage” of a similar couple in his parish church.

When still a priest in Saint Clare of Assisi parish in El Talar, Tigre, in the province of Buenos Aires, then-Father García Cuerva agreed to baptize one-year-old twins obtained by hiring a surrogate mother, at the request of a well-known society and media couple formed by “Florencia” Trinidad or “Flor de la V” (born Roberto Carlos Trinidad) and Pablo Goycochea, whom Roberto married in 2010 after having a full surgical “transition.”

The event was widely covered by the Argentinian popular press; a photograph of the pair posing together with García Cuerva and the two toddlers in front of the main altar of the Basilica of the Most Holy Sacrament, where the baptism took place, was used for the cover of the society magazine Gente in August 2012. The Basilica is especially sought after by high society in Buenos Aires; perpetual adoration is organized there.

The godmothers and godfathers of the children included the biological son and daughter of Goycochea.

García Cuerva agreed to baptize Paul Alexander and Isabella after several parish priests refused to do so, among other things because Roberto was baptized as a male. During the ceremony, García Cuerva gave Holy Communion to “Florencia” and Pablo, thereby condoning attempted sex-changes and homosexual activity.

García Cuerva argued that children have a right to be baptized, but canon law requires that there be good hope that the baptized infant will be raised in the Catholic faith, as its consent will be expressed by its parents or godparents and not by the child itself.

It was only a few days later that Archbishop Jorge Bergoglio, the future Pope Francis, violently criticized priests who refuse to baptize babies born out of wedlock. According to GloriaTV, the then-archbishop at the time phoned two priests who refused to carry out the baptisms and accused them of “filling the Church of the Lord with precepts.”

“They are todays hypocrites, those who clericalize the Church, those who are keeping the people of God away from salvation,” said the then-archbishop, speaking specifically of unmarried mothers and their babies, but close enough to the “Flor de la V” event for this to be identified as one of the reasons for his outburst.

In February 2021, then as bishop of Rios Gallegos, Jorge Ignacio García Cuerva challenged a local priest in Ushuaia who celebrated the “marriage” of a man with a transsexual who appeared as a woman, dressed in black in homage to other gender-confused people who are not allowed to marry in the Church. Father Fabián Colman, a Salesian priest, had welcomed the two men to his parish church and the ceremony was in all ways similar to that of the sacrament of Matrimony.

Shortly afterward, Colman was moved to another parish, but sources quoted by the local press said the priest had been notified about the move already in December and it was in no way linked to the trans “marriage” he had “blessed,” also giving Communion to the pair and to their 60 or so guests.

As to Bishop García Cuerva, he merely published a statement after the event denying that he had given consent for the ceremony to take place. But there was no public condemnation of the objective scandal and sacrilege that had taken place.

The diocese’s official and remarkably weak communiqué instead noted, “We accompany all persons without exception in their legitimate desire to receive God’s blessing. We state for the record that this case is not about the sacrament of marriage as the Church believes and holds it to be. The priest in question has already been duly warned.”

In the statement, Bishop García Cuerva added, “As the own pastor of this diocesan Church, I want to convey to all the people of God who are pilgrims in Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego my closeness, asking that we all pray that we may always maintain Christian charity towards our neighbor, accompanying his pains and sufferings, his joys and hopes, and at the same time preserving the deposit of the teaching of Jesus, the Lord.”

In fact, the bishop’s mention of “all persons’ legitimate desire to receive God’s blessing” reads as a partial approval of Colman’s move, and Colman is now functioning a s a priest in good standing in the parish of Maria Auxiliadora in Chos Malal, Neuquén, in central Argentina. There Mass is concelebrated by Colman and two other priests on what looks like a kitchen table with the help of an accordion, as a recent video shows.

Back to Bishop García Cuerva and the Congregation for Bishops. He has told the Argentine media Tiempo Sur that he wants “to contribute to the model of bishop that Francis wants from us: a poor bishop for the poor.” In other words, a bishop who is in line with Francis’s “people theology,” an offshoot of Liberation Theology.

Giving such a man as García Cuerva a say in the choosing and promoting of bishops, successors of the Apostles, is the sign of a profound contempt of the Church’s teachings and of the delusional form of “charity” that minimizes truth and justice.

The Congregation for Bishops, which is still under the authority of its prefect Cardinal Marc Ouellet, who tendered his resignation at age 75 in June but who has yet to be replaced, is surely a key element of Pope Francis’s plan to modify the Church. It can put pressure on existing bishops, not all of whom are impervious to the sirens of ambitions, honors and advancement. It can also profoundly remodel a diocese by replacing a traditionally-minded pastor with a modernist one, or by failing to accept the resignation of “progressive” prelates.

Cardinal Ouellet, for instance, was one of the four cardinals who, according to highly trustworthy sources, lobbied Pope Francis for the replacement of Summorum Pontificum by a new motu proprio: Traditionis Custodes. It is a clear attempt to outlaw the Traditional Latin Mass in the Church; bishops who refuse to implement it are not going to look good to the Congregation for the Bishops.

García Cuerva will find another protégé of Pope Francis at the Congregation for the Bishops: its secretary, Monsignor Ilson de Jesús Montanari, a Brazilian prelate, is an intimate friend of another Rome-based prelate, the Pope’s Argentinian private secretary Fabián Pedacchio.

In her “Who’s who of the Viganò” testimony published three years ago by LifeSite, Dorothy Cummings McLean had this to say of the Congregation’s present secretary: “Ilson de Jesús Montanari, b.1959, Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops since 2013; Viganò says that his promotion in the department was unprecedented and that he is a great friend of Francis’ secretary; Viganò also says he must have known about McCarrick, given his position.”

García Cuerva called himself “enormously surprised” by his nomination as a member of the Congregation for Bishops. He told the Argentinian Catholic News Agency, AICA: “Pope Francis invited me, last Friday, to carry out this service in the Church, and I hope to fulfill it with great humility and commitment.” He also said that in his new office, he would be “looking for bishops after the Pope’s heart:” “Bishops who take to the street, not princes of the Church.”

He often speaks of bishops who should be “close to the people” and, in the words of Pope Francis, of a “Church” that must welcome all in the way of a “battlefield hospital.”

The Swiss Catholic Internet portal, cath.ch, which has the support of the Swiss episcopate, offered a portrait of García Cuerva in March 2020, one year after his nomination as bishop of Rio Gallegos: “truly a bishop of the peripheries,” the article gushed.

“I am a fan of Pope Francis, perhaps the most bergoglioanist of the Argentinian bishops,” the story quoted García Cuerva as saying. Aged 52 at the time, the young bishop told of his devotion for Msgr. Oscar Romero, at the same time accusing “justice” of “biting” the “bare feet of the poor” like a “serpent”: “Prisons are full of bare-foot people, the poor and the vulnerable,” he said, invoking his experience as prison chaplain.

“I’ve worked for years with prisoners, prostitutes, gays, transsexuals… I say that we are all sinners loved by God, whoever we are.” This is true, of course – provided that one does not confuse love of the sinners and love of the sin. His motto is: “Turn not away thy face from any poor person” (Tob. 4, 7).

In his diocese, he is committed to fighting drugs and to the prevention of prostitution and human trafficking and wants to change the cultural norms of immigrant groups in which sexual abuse is widely tolerated. The only way, says García Cuerva, is to live in the presence of these groups, to be close to them and to foster links with them, leading him to “join their feasts and dance with them.”

Unsurprisingly, Bishop García Cuerva has promoted the COVID experimental “vaccine” as the “only way out” of the coronavirus crisis.

BREAKING: Mississippi files brief calling on Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade

The forceful brief calling for Roe’s overturn allays speculation that Mississippi Attorney Lynn Fitch was going to ask the Court for a more modest outcome.

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Mississippi officially submitted its brief to the United States Supreme Court Thursday in defense of its law banning abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy, in which it makes the case that the nation’s highest court should take the opportunity to finally overturn Roe v. Wade.

The Court announced in May that it would be hearing Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which concerns Mississippi’s HB 1510 law banning abortions from being committed past 15 weeks for any reason other than physical medical emergencies or severe fetal abnormalities. After its enactment in 2019, the law was temporarily blocked, then declared unconstitutional by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The federal appellate court claimed that an “unbroken line dating to Roe v. Wade,” the 1973 ruling which imposed on all 50 states a “right” to pre-viability abortion, but that “unbroken line” is precisely what pro-life activists have long hoped to challenge.

“[N]othing in constitutional text, structure, history, or tradition supports a right to abortion,” declares the brief from the Missisppi Attorney General’s Office, before making what it calls an “overwhelming” case for overruling the “egregiously wrong” Roe, along with 1992’s Planned Parenthood v. Casey (which opened the door to some abortion regulations while reaffirming the “right” to abort itself).

Roe based a right to abortion on decisions protecting aspects of privacy under the Due Process Clause,” but “broke from prior cases by invoking a general ‘right of privacy’ unmoored from the Constitution,” the brief notes. “Notably, Casey did not embrace Roe’s reasoning,” but instead defended “Roe’s result—based on the liberty this Court has afforded to certain “personal decisions,’” while similarly “failing to tie a right to abortion to anything in the Constitution.”

In addition to Roe’s constitutional bankruptcy (an assessment conceded by numerous legal scholars who favor legal abortion), the brief says this status quo has “proven hoplessly unworkable,” because without a sound grounding in the Constition, the “heightened scrutiny of abortion restrictions...provides no guidance to courts on how to account for the interests in this context.”

“While crediting States with important interests, Roe and Casey impede States from advancing them,” the brief notes. “Before viability the undue-burden standard has been understood to block a State from prohibiting abortion to assert those interests. And that standard forces a State to make an uphill climb even to adopt regulations advancing its interests. That is flawed. If a State’s interests are ‘compelling’ enough after viability to support a prohibition, they are ‘equally compelling before’ then.”

The brief goes on to cite the late pro-abortion Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s 1985 acknowledgment that “Heavy-handed judicial intervention [in Roe] was difficult to justify and appears to have provoked, not resolved, conflict,” by insulating one of the nation’s most passionately-disputed issues from the public’s ability to vote on.

“Abortion jurisprudence has placed this Court at the center of a controversy that it can never resolve,” Mississippi argues. “And Roe and Casey have produced a jurisprudence that is at war with the demand that this Court act based on neutral principles.”

The brief then tackles the view of some justices that Roe should be upheld because reversal “would hurt this Court’s legitimacy,” when in fact “Roe and Casey are unprincipled decisions that have damaged the democratic process, poisoned our national discourse, plagued the law—and, in doing so, harmed this Court.”

“Overruling Roe and Casey makes resolution of this case straightforward,” the argument concludes. “The Mississippi law here prohibits abortions after 15 weeks’ gestation, with exceptions for medical emergency or severe fetal abnormality. That law rationally furthers valid interests in protecting unborn life, women’s health, and the medical profession’s integrity. It is therefore constitutional. If this Court does not overrule Roe and Casey’s heightened-scrutiny regime outright, it should at minimum hold that there is no pre-viability barrier to state pro- hibitions on abortion and uphold Mississippi’s law.”

“A lot has changed in five decades,” Mississippi Attorney Lynn Fitch said in a press statement. “In 1973, there was little support for women who wanted a full family life and a successful career. Maternity leave was rare. Paternity leave was unheard of. The gold standard for professional success was a 9-to-5 with a corner office. The flexibility of the gig economy was a fairy tale. In these last fifty years, women have carved their own way to achieving a better balance for success in their professional and personal lives. By returning the matter of abortion policy to state legislatures, we allow a stunted debate on how we support women to flourish. It is time for the Court to let go of its hold on this important debate.”

The forceful brief calling for Roe’s overturn allays speculation that Fitch was going to ask the Court for a more modest outcome, based on a Wall Street Journal op-ed in which she wrote of asking the justices “simply to affirm the right of the people to protect their legitimate interests and to provide clarity on how they may do so.”

Now the only remaining question is how the court’s Republican-appointed majority will vote. Only Justice Clarence Thomas is explicitly on the record as anti-Roe, and only he and Justice Samuel Alito have established consistently conservative records over a significant period of time. Many have placed a great deal of hope with former President Donald Trump’s most recent appointees, though conservatives have also been alarmed by Justice Neil Gorsuch voting to redefine “sex” in federal civil rights law last year, and Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett voting not to take up several cases of concern to religious, conservative, and/or pro-life Americans.

LONDON, England, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Following British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Monday announcement that so-called vaccine passports will be mandatory for entry into venues “where large crowds gather,” the minister responsible for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout confirmed the plan to Parliament, adding that private businesses will be permitted to implement the requirement.

Johnson addressed the nation on Monday – popularly referred to by British media as “Freedom Day,” owing to the relaxation of mask mandates and some other COVID-related restrictions – on plans to implement a requirement for proof of vaccination against COVID for entry to venues in which large crowds are likely to gather. Despite being “Freedom Day,” Johnson made his announcement over video link from self-isolation at Chequers, the prime minister’s country retreat, instead of Downing Street.

In a statement to the House of Commons on Thursday morning, Nadhim Zahawi, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment, confirmed the government’s intention to require proof of vaccination against the novel coronavirus, emphasizing the possibility of a wide implementation of the system. “The Pass has an important role to play in slowing the spread of the virus and so we reserve the right to mandate its use in the future,” he said.

Zahawi stated that “full vaccination” will be “a condition of entry to those high-risk settings where large crowds gather and interact” by the end of September. The vaccine minister qualified that “[a]lthough we don’t encourage its use in essential settings, like supermarkets, other businesses and organisation in England can adopt the Pass as a means of entry where it’s suitable for their venue or premises and when they can see its potential to keep their clients or their customers safe.” Negative COVID tests will “no longer be sufficient” as a proof of immunity or health for entering premises with the requirement in place.

The open-ended nature of the announcement, simply placing the requirement for proof of vaccination upon any venue where large crowds might gather, sparked speculation among media outlets as to which buildings might fall into this category. So far, only nightclubs have been mentioned in this regard by the prime minister.

TalkRADIO, a popular British news broadcaster, tweeted after  Zahawi’s Thursday announcement, adding their own comment that the mandate could reasonably be presumed to apply to “churches, cinemas” as well as nightclubs, as previously announced.

LifeSiteNews contacted the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), within which Zahawi operates, to confirm whether churches will be subject to the new imposition. The DHSC was not able to confirm if church buildings will require vaccination for entry or any other venues beyond those already announced by cabinet ministers. Equally, the department did not rule out the possibility that an announcement could be made detailing a requirement for churches to ask for COVID vaccination proof before legally granting entry. The department spokesman told LifeSite that more details are expected “in due course” and to “watch this space.”

However, in response to questions after Zahawi’s Thursday address to Parliament about the upcoming Conservative Party conference, slated to be held just as vaccine requirements for “large gatherings” come into force, he said that the COVID pass requirement would primarily apply to “large unstructured outdoor events, such as business events and festivals, or very large structured events, such as business events, music and spectator sport events.” The minister added that it would not apply to entry into “public buildings,” but he avoided answering a direct query about how the law would apply to “political gatherings,” the Telegraph reported

It was later confirmed by the Daily Mail that vaccination would be checked as a condition of entry to the conference, prompting Conservative MP Mark Jenkinson to declare in a tweet that “I won’t be going to conference if we’re excluding people on the basis of vaccination their status,” despite being double jabbed himself.

Fellow Tory MP Steve Baker, who also acts as deputy chairman of the Covid Recovery Group, confirmed his intention to forgo the conference on the same grounds, as did newly created peer Baroness Helena Morrissey.

California court strikes down transgender pronoun mandate

'Generally, the free speech clause protects a wide variety of speech a listener may find offensive,' the California Third District Court of Appeals said in a unanimous ruling against a coercive transgender pronoun policy.

SACRAMENTO, California, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A California appeals court last week unanimously struck down a state policy that forces healthcare providers to use transgender pronouns.

The California Third District Court of Appeals handed down a 3-0 decision in Taking Offense v. California on Friday, ruling against a provision in Senate Bill 219 that requires nursing staff to refer to residents by their "preferred name or pronouns."

Senate Bill 219, enacted in 2017, also mandates that long-term care facilities place gender-confused individuals in rooms based on their “gender identity” and let them use bathrooms “available to other persons of the same gender identity.” Violations could result in a $1,000 fine or up to one year in jail, according to California Family Council.

Taking Offense, an unincorporated association, challenged the provisions on pronouns and room assignments, saying that the coercive transgender pronouns rules violated First Amendment rights to freedom of speech, free exercise of religion, and freedom of thought and belief. Taking Offense described nursing home staff as “virtual subjects and slaves” and transgender people as “kings and masters over the rest of the people” under Senate Bill 219.

California’s Third District Court agreed that the 2017 law violated free speech rights and noted that “the First Amendment does not protect only speech that inoffensively and artfully articulates a person’s point of view.”

“Generally, the free speech clause protects a wide variety of speech a listener may find offensive, including insulting speech based on race, national origin, or religious beliefs,” the justices wrote.

“The pronoun provision at issue here tests the limits of the government’s authority to restrict pure speech that, while potentially offensive or harassing to the listener, does not necessarily create a hostile environment,” they continued.

The Third District Court concluded that Senate Bill 219 “is overinclusive in that it restricts more speech than is necessary to achieve the government’s compelling interest in eliminating discrimination, including harassment, on the basis of sex.”

“Rather than prohibiting conduct and speech amounting to actionable harassment or discrimination as those terms are legally defined, the law criminalizes even occasional, isolated, off-hand instances of willful misgendering,” the court held, deeming the pronoun policy an unconstitutional “content-based restriction.”

In a concurring opinion, Justice Ronald Robie acknowledged that the liberal court in fact supports coercive pronoun requirements, but told legislators to “fashion a workable means” to enforce them. “Instead of mandating that employers ensure the use of proper pronouns in the workplace, the Legislature unwisely made misuse of pronouns a crime,” he wrote.

California’s criminalization of resistance to transgenderism “just went too far,” Robie said.

The justices upheld the section of Senate Bill 219 that allows residents to demand room placement in accordance with their “gender identity.”

The judicial rebuke to radical pronoun requirements in California comes amid a broader battle to protect freedom of speech against the dictates of transgender ideology in the U.S.

Last week, a federal judge in Indiana upheld the firing of a high school teacher who refused to abide by  similar transgender pronoun guidelines. In March, however, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of a professor at Shawnee State University in Ohio, after he was disciplined for not recognizing a hostile, gender-confused student’s desired pronouns.

Judge blocks Arkansas law banning puberty blockers, trans surgery on minors

The temporary block on a law, which was enacted in April despite a veto from Gov. Asa Hutchinson, will be appealed, state Attorney General Leslie Rutledge promised.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – U.S. District Judge Jay Moody issued a temporary block Wednesday on an Arkansas law banning “sex-reassignment” surgery or hormone treatments for gender-confused minors, claiming its enforcement “would cause irreparable harm.”

The Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, enacted in April by the legislature over a veto from Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson, prohibits implementation, referral, or taxpayer funding for “puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, or other mechanisms to promote the development of feminizing or masculinizing features in the opposite biological sex, or genital or nongenital gender reassignment surgery performed for the purpose of assisting an individual with a gender transition” on anyone younger than 18.

The left-wing American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit against the law in June, prompting 17 states to come to Arkansas’s defense. But ABC News reported that Moody sided with the ACLU in the short term, meaning the SAFE Act will not take effect on July 28 as planned.

"To pull this care midstream from these patients, or minors, would cause irreparable harm," Moody declared. "Public interest calls favor to the plaintiffs."

"We are disappointed but not surprised that a judge has placed a temporary hold on the Arkansas law that protects children from unscientific, experimental, and destructive gender transition procedures,” Family Research Council president Tony Perkins responded. “However, we are confident that ultimately state lawmakers will remain free to protect the health and safety of children.”

"The legal challenge to this law is being mounted by a political movement that advocates for using off-label drugs and experimental procedures on minors,” he continued. “Yet a growing number of individuals are coming forward to share their stories of being permanently disfigured and/or sterilized from procedures such as puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries. The truth about the dangers of these life altering procedures cannot be ignored.”

A range of scientific literature indicates that reinforcing gender confusion often fails to prevent significant emotional harm up to and including attempted suicide (with or without surgery), because fixating on “gender affirmation” tends to distract from exploring other issues that may be the actual root of a patient’s mental or emotional unrest.

On top of those issues, experts warn that surgically or chemically reinforcing gender confusion imposes irreversible harm on children such as infertility, impairment of adult sex function, and reduced life expectancy, as well as the psychological toll of being “locked into” physical alterations regardless of whether they change their minds when they mature.

“I will aggressively defend Arkansas’s law which strongly limits permanent, life-altering sex changes to adolescents,” Republican Attorney General Leslie Rutledge responded Wednesday. “I will not sit idly by while radical groups such as the ACLU use our children as pawns for their own social agenda. As the Attorney General of Arkansas, I will be appealing today’s decision.”

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A New England Catholic bishop has been accused of sexually abusing a minor while he was a parish priest.

Bishop Peter Anthony Libasci of the Diocese of Manchester, New Hampshire is alleged to have fondled and groped a child’s genitals on “numerous occasions in 1983 and 1984, when the alleged victim was 12 or 13-years-old,” according to a report by local news outlet WMUR.

Libasci was pastor at Saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Deer Park, New York when the alleged abuse took place.  The alleged victim was a student at Saints Cyril and Methodius School at the time.  The Sisters of Saint Joseph who operated the school are also named in the lawsuit.

The WMUR report continues:

The lawsuit alleges negligence by the school and church because Libasci was put in a position of power at the church.  It alleges he used that power to allegedly abuse the child.  Lawyers allege the church and school knew or reasonably should have known, knowingly condoned, or covered up the alleged inappropriate and unlawful activities.

The alleged victim continues to suffer physical and psychological injuries, including significant emotional distress, problems sleeping and concentrating and feelings of worthlessness, shamefulness and embarrassment, according to an MSN.com report.

“Following standard protocol, the matter has been reported to civil authorities,” diocese officials said in a statement to WMUR.

In an official communique sent to LifeSiteNews, the Diocese of Manchester said that the “status” of the Bishop “remains unchanged.”

The Diocese of Manchester was informed of the filing of a civil lawsuit wherein Bishop Peter A. Libasci was named. This lawsuit alleges sexual abuse of a minor dating back to 1983/84 in the state of New York. At this time, the status of the Bishop remains unchanged. Following standard protocol, the matter has been reported to civil authorities.

Because this is an ongoing matter and out of respect for the individuals involved, the Diocese will not be providing additional information at this time but will provide updates when we are able to do so.

The Manchester Diocese maintains a website which names 73 priests associated with the diocese who were accused of sexual abuse against minors from 1950 until 2002.  The diocese claims never to have received any reports of sexual abuse of a minor by a permanent deacon or bishop, or by a priest since 2002.

According to his online biography, Libasci was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 1978 and appointed an auxiliary bishop by Pope Benedict XV in 2007. Pope Benedict XVI appointed Libasci as the tenth Bishop of Manchester in September, 2011.

This story is developing.

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A group of young Catholics from across the world have sent a video message to Pope Francis, defending their “love” for the ancient liturgy in response to his recent restrictions upon it, and asking him to support them in their desire to “follow the call to holiness” through the Traditional Latin Mass.

“As young Catholics who go to the Traditional Latin Mass, we often encounter a lack of understanding in the older generations,” declared the youth.

They then contradicted some of the objections made regarding devotees of the traditional liturgy by the Pope and other critics.

“We do not question the validity of the new liturgy or disdain its celebration," the young people said.

“We love the Traditional Mass not because we are old and grumpy. We love it not because we are old-fashioned. We love it not because we are separatist.”

Expressing their personal devotion to the Mass, the youthful participants pointed to aspects of the traditional liturgy which attracted them to it.

“We love the Traditional Latin Mass for its devotion and trustful fear of God,” said one.

“We love its orientation of priest and faithful together in the same direction, towards God and Christ," said another.

“We love it, because it is the same all over the world, it is universal, catholic in the original sense of the word. We love it, because its transcendence gives us a peace and hope the world cannot give.”

The young Catholics also answered the attacks made in Pope Francis’s accompanying letter to the motu proprio, in which he decried “the instrumental use of Missale Romanum of 1962” which he said “is often characterized by a rejection not only of the liturgical reform, but of the Vatican Council II itself, claiming, with unfounded and unsustainable assertions, that it betrayed the Tradition and the ‘true Church’.”

Participating in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Estonia, USA, Nigeria, Indonesia, Croatia, Ireland, Australia and Sri Lanka, the group protested the Pope’s accusation that Latin Mass attendees “widen the gaps” and “reinforce the divergences.”

Quoting directly from his letter, they replied: “We do not ‘encourage disagreements that injure the Church’. We do not ‘block her path’ or ‘expose her to the peril of division’.”

Contradicting the idea that they promote a life of “division,” the young devotees of the ancient liturgy of the Church declared that they “simply aim at a Christian life in faith, hope, and love for God and our neighbor.”

“We try to follow the call to holiness and we draw our strength from the Latin Mass," their message continued.

“Dear Holy Father, dear Bishops, we are not just a few deplorably stubborn adherents of an outdated rite. As loyal Roman Catholics, we are YOUR multitudinous and lively youth.

Re-iterating their devotion to the Pope, which manifests in their daily prayers, the young Catholics issued an earnest plea to Pope Francis: “Please do not let us down. Can we count on you?”

Their message has garnered considerable attention on social media.

Hong Kong’s bishop emeritus, Cardinal Joseph Zen, shared the video on Twitter without comment, and Catholic priests also highlighted the message, describing it as “heart-warming.”

Chad Pecknold, columnist for First Things magazine, wrote how the witness of young, faithful Catholics reminded him of St. Catherine of Siena’s own witness to the Pope. “I wept watching this. As one who teaches young Catholics, it rang true of what I know about my college-aged son’s generation. Watching this, I was reminded of St. Catherine of Siena, whose letters to the pope had a similar poignancy, power — and I pray, effect.”

EWTN’S Raymond Arroyo also highlighted the video, while Father Ron Vierling described the young Catholics as “a great blessing to the Church.”

Promulgated on July 16, the new motu proprio Traditionis Custodes stipulates, amongst other things, that priests are to “request” permission from their diocesan bishops to say the Traditional Latin Mass, and consequently bishops can essentially forbid priests from saying it. The bishops are told to decide “whether or not to retain” parishes which had been canonically erected for the offering of the traditional liturgies.

The document has been described by Cardinal Gerhard Müller, former Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), as a Papal plan “to condemn the Extraordinary Form to extinction.” The motu proprio does away with the permissions of Pope Benedict XVI’s 2007 Summorum pontificum, which afforded priests the right to celebrate Mass in the traditional rites without needing the express authorization of their bishops or the Holy See.

Senate Democrats move to force women to register for the draft

A rewriting of current military draft laws would require Selective Service registration for “all Americans,” forcing men and women between the ages of 18 and 26 to register for the draft or face penalties including fines and imprisonment.

WASHINGTON, D.C. July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Women may be required to register for the military draft if Senate Democrats get their way, according to a July 19 report by Politico.

Per Politico’s reporting, “Senate Democrats are proposing a sweeping rewrite of the military draft laws aimed at requiring women to register for the Selective Service System [the draft].”

The question of requiring young women to register for the draft has been frequently raised in the past amid the opening up of military combat roles for women. Democratic legislators are now positioned to make the controversial idea law by adding altered language to a crucial military defense bill.

The new language eliminates any reference to males, mandating instead that “All Americans” sign up for the draft.

Senate Armed Services Chair Jack Reed wrote the draft of the proposed changes, which Politico says might be tacked onto the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the 2022 fiscal year, a piece of legislation Congress is poised to pass.

Currently, failure to register for the draft carries a penalty of fines or imprisonment, and those who do not register are refused federal financial aid and federal jobs. Women would be subject to the same penalties if Senate Democrats succeed in ramming through the new language.

The controversial move would reopen a hotly contested debate as to whether women ought to be drafted alongside men in the event of a national wartime emergency requiring conscripted forces.

Female members of the U.S. Armed Forces are currently allowed in every military occupation following the 1994 rescinding of the 1988 “Risk Rule” and the 2015 move by the Pentagon to open all military positions, including combat roles, to women.

According to the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), “women have been able to serve in almost all Air Force and Navy positions since the mid-1990s, save for submarines and some small vessels.”

The CNAS report referred to a “practical meaninglessness of a formal ban on women in combat” due to the radically altered nature of military engagement in the wake of 9/11.

The issue of extending the draft to include women was recently brought before Congress in a March 2020 report by the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service.

According to the report, “[t]he Commission concluded that the time is right to extend Selective Service System registration to include men and women, between the ages of 18 and 26. This is a necessary and fair step, making it possible to draw on the talent of a unified Nation in a time of national emergency.”

But people on both sides of the political aisle have raised concerns about requiring young women to register to be drafted for war.

Mac Hamilton, Director of Advocacy at Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND), an organization founded in 1982 to promote nuclear disarmament, wrote in a twitter thread Wednesday “This is—and I can't stress this enough—NOT the move, @SenateDems.”

“Whether requiring all men or all people to serve the U.S. military, a potential draft requires people to submit their bodily autonomy to the state & agree to participate in war,” Hamilton wrote.

Russ Vought, president of the Center for Renewing America and director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget from 2020 to 2021 under the Trump Administration, also objected to the proposal, tweeting out “No. You are not drafting our daughters.”

Jude Eden, a female Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, said in 2016 she was opposed to forcing women to register for the draft. According to Eden, “[t]he draft is for the sole purpose of replacing combat troops; it’s for replacing infantry… It’s to replace men when they’re dying by the thousands in the front who are attacking the enemy. Women don’t have an equal opportunity to survive in those circumstances.”

“No matter how prevalent feminism becomes, it will not make women’s bones as dense as men’s. It will not give us boundless supplies of testosterone coursing through our veins,” Eden said.

Eden also explained that enemy troops would specifically target female soldiers. “They’ll target those women first,” she said. “Women are higher-value targets not only as POWs, but as video fodder, for video propaganda to demoralize the country, demoralize the units, demoralize the war effort.”

Politico defense reporter Connor O’Brien, who was a co-author of the July 19 Politico report, tweeted out the news that as of Wednesday morning “Faith and anti-war groups” had written to the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) “urging them to eliminate the Selective Service System [SSS] completely.”

The July 21 document was signed by a slew of interest groups including American Friends Service Committee, the Center on Conscience and War, and the Friends Committee on National Legislation. The text advocates for an outright abolition of the SSS, citing “freedom of religion and belief, civil and human rights, the rule of law, and equality for all.”

The letter’s authors claim that “[t]he argument that extending the registration requirement to women is a way to help reduce gender-based discrimination is specious.”

“It does not represent a move forward for women; it represents a move backward, imposing on young women a burden that young men have had to bear unjustly for decades – a burden that no young person should have to bear at all.”

The letter further raised concerns that moving to force young women to register for the draft “fails to acknowledge or address the pervasive climate of discrimination and sexual violence that is the reality of life for many women in the military.”

A Department of Defense report for the 2019 fiscal year that was published April 2020 found that “[i]n 2018, an estimated 24.2 percent of active duty women” reported sexual harassment, up from 21.4 percent in 2016. According to the report, “Active duty women who experienced sexual harassment were at three times greater risk for sexual assault than those who did not.”

Service members including both men and women reported 6,236 sexual assaults during the 2019 fiscal year, an increase from 6,053 in the previous year.

Given the risks posed to both men and women, the authors of the July 21 letter to Congress advocated for a repeal of the Military Selective Service Act entirely, as promoted by U.S. senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Rand Paul (R-KY), among others, in their April 15 legislative proposal S 11394, the “Selective Service Repeal Act of 2021.”

According to the signatories, S 11394 “should be adopted in full as an amendment to the NDAA. Any provision to extend Selective Service to women should be rejected.”

To date, S 11394 has been referred to the Senate Committee on Armed Services but has not yet progressed beyond that.

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Legendary rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter Eric Clapton announced earlier this week he would refuse to perform at venues which force concert-goers to prove they’ve taken an experimental COVID-19 shot as a condition for entry.

“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021 I feel honor-bound to make an announcement of my own,” said the 17-time Grammy-winner and former guitarist for such iconic British bands as Cream and The Yardbirds.

The musician was referring to U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Monday announcement that his government will “make full vaccination the condition of entry to nightclubs and other venues where large crowds gather.”

Johnson added that “proof of a negative test will no longer be sufficient,” seemingly indicating that there will be no alternatives for those who do not wish to get the vaccine.

“I would remind everybody that some of life’s most important pleasures and opportunities are likely to be increasingly dependent on vaccination,” the prime minister said.

In response to the announcement, Clapton said:

I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.

The statement was shared on Italian architect and film producer Robin Monotti’s Telegram account July 20, which is also connected with Dr. Michael Yeadon, a former Vice President and Chief Scientist for Allergy & Respiratory of now-vaccine-maker Pfizer.

Yeadon, who worked in the industry for 32 years and has repeatedly warned about the risks associated with COVID-19 shots, recently argued that COVID-19 variants are “irrelevant and being used as propaganda.”

Clapton’s stand garnered a mixture of approval and outrage, with individuals and groups opposed to mandatory vaccination and government intrusion giving their thumbs up to the iconic artist.

Newsmax White House correspondent Emerald Robinson called Clapton a “hero” for standing against the exclusionary policy which would compel people to take experimental medication.

London-based English band Right Said Fred, whose front-men have previously supported Brits who have opposed draconian lockdown measures, tweeted out July 20 “Eric Clapton is the new punk.”

Texas senator Ted Cruz (R) also expressed approval of the English musician, tweeting out “Bravo. @EricClapton. Artists should defend individual Liberty.”

Of course, Clapton also had his detractors. Liz Buckley, a label manager at Ace Records, snapped, “Funnily enough, I will not attend shows where Eric Clapton is required.”

Clapton’s announcement comes just a few months after he shared his harrowing experience with the AstraZeneca (AZ) COVID-19 shot.

In a letter to Robin Monotti in May, Clapton said that after taking the first “jab of AZ” in February, he “straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days“

The 76-year-old — who has emphysema — said he was offered and took the second shot six weeks later.

“Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again,” Clapton continued, adding that he also suffers from peripheral neuropathy and believes he should never have taken the injection.

“But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone,” Clapton said.

Many European countries including Italy, France, Germany, and Spain banned the AZ shot  earlier this year due to the injections’ connection with dangerous blood clots. The advice has subsequently been modified, with some countries permitting the shot for specific higher-risk age groups.

Clapton has been a strong advocate of personal liberty in the face of increasing government control justified as COVID-19 containment.

In December he recorded a new song with friend and fellow rock and blues great Van Morrison entitled “Stand and Deliver,” warning against government overreach.

The lyrics ask “Do you wanna be a free man or do you wanna be a slave?” and warns “Is this a sovereign nation or just a police state? You better look out, people, before it gets too late.”

Clapton told Monotti: “I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know.”

The musician mentioned another song he was then in the process of recording with Morrison called “The Rebels” which asks “Where have all the rebels gone?”

“Hiding behind their computer screens, where’s the spirit, where’s the soul?” the lyrics say. “I’ve been a rebel all my life, against tyranny and arrogant authority, which is what we have now. But I also crave fellowship, compassion and love, and that I find here. I believe with these things we can prevail.”

Morrison is not set to tour in Great Britain until next year. His current lineup features shows based exclusively in southern U.S. states including Florida, Georgia, and Texas.

Amid vaccine passports rollout, data shows high rate of ‘Delta variant’ among the vaccinated

As vaccine passports become a reality for residents of the U.K., recent data has suggested that a majority of deaths connected with the so-called Delta variant, now regarded the dominant strain, have been charted in “fully vaccinated people.”

As previously reported by LifeSite, between February 1 and June 21, 2021, 92,029 “cases” of the Delta variant were recorded in the U.K., of which 58.4 percent of people were unvaccinated, a total of 53,822.

117 deaths were reported, of which 50, or 42.7 percent, were among individuals who were “fully vaccinated,” with 19 deaths (16.2 percent) recorded in individuals at least 21 days after they had received their first shot.

Meanwhile 61 percent of people aged over 50 who died had taken at least one dose, compared with 34.9 percent of unvaccinated adults over 50 who died.

LifeSiteNews has produced an extensive COVID-19 vaccines resources page. View it here.

‘I had never seen deaths happen so quickly’: Quebec nursing home gave COVID patients morphine instead of virus treatments

COVID-19, a respiratory illness, can cause severe breathing problems, especially in old people. And common side effects of the drugs the COVID patients at one Quebec nursing home were given are slowed or stopped breathing.

LAVAL, Quebec, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A Quebec nurse has testified that in accordance with provincial health department directives, her long-term care home administered morphine to coronavirus patients instead of caring for them to prolong their lives.

“I had never seen deaths happen so quickly,” Sylvie Morin told the Globe and Mail. Morin was an assistant chief nurse at Sainte-Dorothée, a long-term care (LTC) home where more than 100 residents died last year during the “first wave” of COVID-19.

She explained that the nursing home staff were instructed to give the residents thought to have COVID-19 a “respiratory distress protocol” that included morphine, the sedative Ativan, and the anti-nausea drug scopolamine. The Mayo Clinic notes that common side effects of injected morphine are “difficult or troubled breathing,” “irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing,” “shortness of breath,” and “very slow breathing.”

COVID-19, a respiratory illness, can cause severe breathing problems, especially in old people. (For healthy people under 65, the survival rate of the coronavirus is extremely high and the virus, especially with early treatment, does not cause severe breathing problems.)

“You should not take morphine if you have severe asthma or breathing problems...Morphine can slow or stop your breathing,” warns drugs.com, a popular reference website that offers “free, peer-reviewed, accurate and independent data on more than 24,000 prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines.”

Of Ativan, the Mayo Clinic warns, “This medicine may cause respiratory depression (serious breathing problem that can be life-threatening), especially when used with narcotic pain medicines.”

Morin said the protocol is “not what kills the person. It makes them more comfortable,” but pointed out that she had never seen such a rapid track to death.

“The person had symptoms, we tested, we got the results 24-48 hours later. A day later, they were dead. It wasn’t long.”

“They didn’t all die but most did,” said Morin.

The nursing home procedures stemmed from provincial Health Department orders, which were designed to “offload 80 per cent of hospital patients who didn’t need acute care,” so that hospitals weren’t overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients.

Such patients were either discharged or sent to LTC homes, according to a document filed at a coroner’s inquest, the Globe and Mail reported.

A health-board planning document also filed at the inquest revealed that the families of LTC residents were contacted to change their loved ones’ level of care to “move towards C and D levels.”

C and D levels of care aim to alleviate pain as a patient approaches death, while A and B levels are geared towards prolonging life.

‘Death sentences,’ ‘cases of murder’

Jean-Pierre Daubois, whose mother Anna José Maquet was among those who died at Sainte-Dorothée, told the Montreal Gazette that in retrospect, “the decisions that were taken to call the families and change the level of care, for me, were nothing but death sentences.”

Daubois also recounted that on the eve of his mother’s death, he got a call from a social worker who told him there were no COVID-19 cases on his mother’s floor.

Morin recalled how her unit supervisor was anticipating a wave of deaths in early March.

“She was saying if we have COVID, it’s going to empty the LTC,” said Morin. “She had 250 death certificates, 250 forms for the respiratory-distress protocol. I looked at it and I said, ‘come now, they’re not all going to die’. But it was all set up ahead of time.”

Another nurse, Agnieska Mroz, said that she saw a Sainte-Dorothée resident struggling to breathe, whom staff could not send to a hospital because of the care-level restrictions. The resident’s family eventually called 911 themselves.

The coroner’s inquest is examining the deaths of patients in long-term care homes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, which account for more than 60 percent of fatalities in Quebec’s “COVID-19” death wave.

The Montreal Gazette reported, “The objective is not to find a guilty party but to formulate recommendations in order to avoid future tragedies.”

Alex Schadenberg, Executive Director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, said “these are cases of murder” that call for criminal investigation.

“This should be treated as a criminal case. It should not be treated as, ‘We’re going to investigate what we did wrong to make sure we’re going to do it right next time.’ These were criminal decisions,” Schadenberg told LifeSiteNews.

“They should have been smart enough to know that what they were doing was causing death,” said Schadenberg. “If you have a respiratory issue, [morphine] will then cause that person to die. And COVID was something that, of course, they should have recognized is affecting their respiration.”

“Not just a few people died. A few people often die from medical error. But this is massive number of people in Canada who actually died this way. Thousands, not hundreds. Not a dozen. It’s horrific.”

Schadenberg believes these medical decisions explain why Canada had “such an incredibly high death rate amongst its seniors.” According to a report by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), Canada has “the worst record for COVID-19 deaths in long-term care homes compared with other wealthy countries,” as CBC News noted.

Unfortunately, he added, criminal investigations in medicine are rare.

“The only reason they got the woman in Woodstock was because she confessed,” said Schadenberg in reference to serial killer nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer.

Safe COVID-19 treatments continue to be ignored

Despite numerous studies supporting the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as safe and effective treatments for COVID-19, numerous health authorities worldwide have said they shouldn’t be used.

One such recent study by the French Pasteur Institute states that standard doses of Ivermectin, which earned the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine as a parasitic drug, “prevent[s] clinical deterioration” and “limit[s]” respiratory inflammation in lab experiments.

After Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory gave a ringing endorsement for the “miraculous” drug before the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Treatment Guidelines Panel, Ivermectin was finally approved by the NIH for use to treat COVID-19 in the United States.

Two recent studies alone, one published by medRxiv, and one by the Henry Ford Health System, have shown that hydroxychloroquine helped severely ill coronavirus patients recover.

However, the World Health Organization’s official guidelines recommend that Ivermectin “only be used within clinical trials,” and the FDA also warns against the use of Ivermectin to treat COVID-19.

Dr. Joseph Varon, known as the “COVID Hunter,” reportedly has had much success treating COVID because of the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. Ivory Hecker, a former reporter for a FOX affiliate, said the media is censoring any mention of his use of these treatments.

Bombshell lawsuit: Gov’t whistleblower says coronavirus vaccine deaths at least 45,000

‘I queried data … and have assessed that the deaths occurring within 3 days of vaccination are higher than those reported in VAERS by a factor of at least 5. This would indicate the true number of vaccine-related deaths was at least 45,000.’

ANAHEIM, California, July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A government related computer programmer, who works in health care data analytics, has made a declaration under penalty of perjury that according to medical claims submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) there are “at least 45,000” vaccine-related deaths due to experimental COVID-19 vaccine injections.

This dramatic announcement was made earlier this week by Ohio-based attorney Thomas Renz, at Clay Clark's ReAwaken America Tour stop in Anaheim California. Renz remains a lead attorney in several major cases brought against federal agencies relating to fraud and violations of medical freedom rights.

“I’m filing papers in federal court today,” Renz said to the enthusiastic crowd. This filing is “based on a sworn declaration, under threat of perjury,” by a female expert whistleblower who attested “that there have been at least, 45,000 deaths from this vaccine.”

Further, these numbers are “based on how many people died within three days of the vaccine in just one system that is reporting to the federal government.”

Renz continued to explain, “there are reportedly around 11 or 12 systems that are reporting deaths and injuries to the government,” and his own estimation is that the real numbers are “immensely higher” than even the 45,000 deaths, even if he can’t immediately prove it.

According to the full data, of all reporting systems, Renz asked, “how many have really died? And why are they covering it up? These people are murdering people. This is complicity at a minimum. People need to be in jail.”

The filed motion was submitted on behalf of America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) against radically pro-abortion Xavier Becerra, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is seeking “a preliminary injunction against Defendants enjoining them from continuing to authorize the emergency use of the so-called [‘vaccines’] ... and from granting full Food and Drug Administration (‘FDA’) approval for the Vaccines” related to the following three groups:

  1. Those under 18 years of age, who — as stated in an AFLDS press release  “are at statistically 0% risk of death from COVID-19,” while death and injury rates from these “vaccines,” in this demographic, remain, at the very least, highly disproportionate to any supposed benefit.
  2. All individuals who have recovered from COVID-19: “Natural immunity is superior to manufactured immunity. In addition, the vaccines can trigger a dangerous and deadly hyper-immune response in people with immunity”
  3. “Every other American who has not yet received informed consent, as defined by Federal law. It is unlawful, and unconstitutional, to administer experimental agents to individuals who cannot make an informed decision as to the true benefits and risks of the vaccines.”

Renz told LifeSiteNews that the testimony of the anonymous whistleblower, referred to in the motion as “Jane Doe,” provides evidence that informed consent is not possible without a full disclosure of the true number of deaths related to experimental COVID-19 gene-therapy vaccine injections.

The filing describes “Jane Doe” as “a computer programmer with subject matter expertise in the healthcare data analytics field, and access to Medicare and Medicaid data maintained by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).”

In her actual declaration, “Jane Doe” provides the following testimony:

It is my professional estimate that VAERS (the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) database, while extremely useful, is under-reported by a conservative factor of at least 5. On July 9, 2021, there were 9,048 deaths reported in VAERS. I verified these numbers by collating all of the data from VAERS myself, not relying on a third party to report them. In tandem, I queried data from CMS medical claims with regard to vaccines and patient deaths, and have assessed that the deaths occurring within 3 days of vaccination are higher than those reported in VAERS by a factor of at least 5. This would indicate the true number of vaccine-related deaths was at least 45,000.

AFLDS categorized the apparent and significant under-reported deaths as “shocking” and asserted “informed consent, which is required under the law, is impossible when safety data is so misleading.”

It’s also notable, the motion continued, “that in the 1976 Swine Flu vaccine campaign (in which 25% of the U.S. population at that time, 55 million Americans, were vaccinated), the Swine Flu vaccine was deemed dangerous and unsafe, and removed from the market, even though the vaccine resulted in only 53 deaths.”

Veracity of whistleblower testimony

With regards to the veracity of Jan Doe’s legal declaration, Renz emphasized his commitment to ensure his source’s identity is protected explaining that he and his team had “seen a number of things” providing veracity to her conclusions, but he was “not willing to talk about what specifically” because he didn’t feel it was appropriate given his responsibility to protect her identity.

He further explained, “as an attorney, to submit this into federal court, we have to have, legally, a good faith belief that its accurate and correct.”

“We have to do our due diligence, we have to believe that this person is accurate and that these numbers are accurate,” he said. “We very much stand behind what we submitted. We believe it to be correct and accurate. We’ve done our due diligence, and to that extent, I’m quite confident that it will stand up in court.”

For those who might have further doubts, Renz asserted:

This isn’t a hard thing to verify. If the federal government wants to argue about this, if these people want to say that what we’re saying is not true, that’s fine, just let us see the numbers. There’s no reason they can’t open this data up to the public. There’s no reason they can’t share it. And if you don’t have anything to hide, you don’t hide it. So, why are they hiding it?

Renz added that he and his team would welcome the opportunity to clarify the actual numbers and “expect when we do, they will be much higher [than even 45,000].”

AFLDS has updated its own estimate of COVID vaccine related deaths based on Jane Doe’s findings with refreshed data. “As of July 9th, reported deaths in VAERS totaled 10,991,” they said. “The CDC whistleblower [Jane Doe] has made a sworn statement that the actual number of deaths are conservatively five-times higher, meaning as of this date we are approaching at least 55,000 vaccine related deaths.”

Big Tech ‘complicit in causing death’ through censorship

The veracity of such excessively higher actual numbers as compared to what is passively reported on VAERS, is further corroborated by a 2010 Harvard Pilgrim study which found that “fewer than 1% of vaccine injuries” are reported on this system, leading many to conclude, for quite some time, that actual death and injury numbers due to these experimental biological agents are much greater.

Following his announcement in Anaheim, Renz went on to encourage the crowd, and viewers, to become activists and to spread this news everywhere. Also, in the face of Big Tech censorship, he had a message for these large corporations, including Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter: “You are complicit in causing death, and I cannot wait to sue you over and over again!”

“Since we can’t talk about the 45,000 murders, because people were not able to give informed consent because they have been covering up the risk, let’s try and get 45,000 to trend on Twitter. We can’t call it ‘murders,’ but maybe [we can get #45K to trend],” he said.

“Grow some spine!” he urged. “Have some courage! Right? Courage! … You have to be willing to fight, and I want to encourage everyone here to have the courage to fight, and to get others involved. They need to hear about this!”

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — In response to the crisis unfolding in our world and in the Church, Lifesite is happy to promote Regina Angelorum Press’s Daily Rosary, which is offering Catholics throughout the world the chance to be united daily in prayer, in the Our Lady of Fatima Rosary Crusade.

Catholics from all over the world — from Israel, Uganda, Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Pakistan, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and other countries — are gathering daily to pray the rosary, led by Father Pillari, JCL, MCL, STL, an American priest currently studying in Italy.

The Daily Rosary is being offered each day at 12EST through Regina Angelorum Press’ Youtube Channel to which you can subscribe HERE.

The goal is, by means of this daily rosary and by embracing and living out the message given by the Virgin Mary at Fatima, the triumph of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart.

To help obtain that goal, Bishop Athanasius Schneider graciously composed the following prayer for this worldwide rosary crusade:

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, you are the holy Mother of God and our tender Mother. Look upon the distress in which the Church and the whole of humanity are living because of the spread of materialism and the persecution of the Church. In Fatima you warned against these errors, as you spoke about the errors of Russia. You are the Mediatrix of all graces. Implore your Divine Son to grant this special grace for the Pope: that he might consecrate Russia to your Immaculate Heart, so that Russia will be converted, a period of peace will be granted to the world, and your Immaculate Heart will triumph, through an authentic renewal of the Church in the splendor of the purity of the Catholic Faith, of the sacredness of Divine worship and of the holiness of the Christian life. O Queen of the holy Rosary and our sweet Mother, turn your merciful eyes to us and graciously hear this our trusting prayer. Amen.

+ Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana

‘Shocking and saddening’: Popular DC priest voices pain over Traditionis Custodes

Writing in the National Catholic Register, Msgr. Pope wrote that he was 'grieved and stunned' by the Pope's document, and urged Pope Francis to reconsider his actions, which 'may end up causing more serious devision.'

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews Another shepherd has spoken up for his sheep, countering Pope Francis’ recent attack on the Traditional Latin Mass and those faithful to it.

Monsignor Charles Pope, a pastor of the Archdiocese of Washington DC, wrote an opinion piece entitled “A Cry From the Heart About ‘Traditionis Custodes’ and the Latin Mass” for the National Catholic Register. It appeared in the “Blogs” section on Tuesday, and addresses the pain caused by Pope Francis’ recent motu proprio.

I must say that I am grieved and stunned by this document and the letter to the bishops that accompanied it,” Msgr. Pope stated.

“I think not so much of my own potential loss but of the many Catholics I have served who love the extraordinary form [of the Mass]," he continued.

“For so long and in so many places they have often been treated harshly and have been marginalized for their love for the form of the liturgy that most of the saints knew.”

Msgr. Pope’s blog is addressed to a mainstream Catholic audience and also to the bishops and pontiff, promoting pastoral care and charity — ideals emphasized by Pope Francis — for the benefit of the priests and faithful who love the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), which Pope Emeritus Benedict called “the extraordinary form of the Mass” in his own 2007 motu proprio, Summorum Pontificum.

Traditionis Custodes contradicts and effectively cancels Summorum Pontificum

The monsignor began by stating that although he has celebrated the TLM for more than 32 years and has written about this form of the Mass many times, he also celebrates the Novus Ordo Mass. He noted also that none of the 10 diocesan parishes in which the extraordinary form is celebrated in DC are devoted exclusively to the celebration of the Latin Mass. The celebration of both forms leads to less tension than Traditionis Custodes (TC) suggests.

While people on both ‘sides’ may have preferences, even strong preferences, there has been mutual respect and a willingness to make room for one another,” Msgr. Pope wrote.

Whatever tensions do exist, they are minor and not so different than the tensions that emerge from the diverse mosaic of ethnic communities.”

The pastor appealed to the ideal of liturgical diversity, saying that the TLM has been celebrated alongside the Eastern Rite, the Anglican Rite, and the Neocatechumenal Mass in his diocese. This co-existence has always been peaceful, the monsignor said.

Msgr. Pope pointed to the contradiction in Pope Francis accepting other kinds of liturgical “diversity,” like the abovementioned celebrations, plus the ordinary form of the Mass in “dozens of languages,” but seeing the extraordinary form as somehow divisive.

“Apparently, Pope Francis does not see this rich and peaceful diversity when it comes to the Traditional Latin Mass,” the monsignor wrote.

Even if other expressions may be tolerable or agreeable to him, the Latin Mass seems to be the fly in the ointment. With a special focus that seems overly harsh he attributes blame for divisions to traditional Catholics who attend the Latin Mass.”

Msgr. Pope asserted that it is “not reasonable to attribute the sins of the vocal minority to an entire movement” and pointed out that other groups wonder that others don’t celebrate the way they do.

“Yes, some people advance the superiority of the extraordinary form,” he said.

But I know many Catholics from Eastern Rites who think their liturgies are vastly preferable and even superior to the Roman Rite," he continued.

“Many Catholics in the Neocatechumenal Way assert that the Church will not experience reform until their liturgy and their ‘way’ is embraced by all. In African American Parishes where I serve there is a great pride in the joy of their worship and a wonderment at why so many other parishes seem to have ‘dead’ and short liturgies.”

The monsignor listed three aspects of the new motu proprio which he fears have hurt and discouraged many Catholics and will cause real division: the harsh, heavy-handed tone at odds with the “language of mercy”; the “impossible requirements” which includes a ban on the TLM in parish churches; and a “strange treatment of bishops” in giving them confusing instructions.

Pope Francis has seldom addressed any other group this harshly," Msgr. Pope said regarding Catholics who love the TLM.

To others such as unbelievers, dissenters and wayward politicians there is to be mercy, understanding and tolerance,” he added.

He speaks of ‘going to the margins’ and of compassion for the poor and morally lost. But to those attached to the Latin Mass comes this strong rebuke, with almost no room to maneuver in the Church they love. It is very shocking and saddening to me as a pastor of souls that such vitriol be directed at the flock I have long cared for.”

Msgr. Pope ended his piece with appeals to the faithful, the bishops, and to Pope Francis himself.

He asked the faithful “to beseech [the bishops] to exhibit solicitude” which the new motu proprio lacks, while praying for the bishops since “they have been given a hard and awkward task.”

The monsignor then asked the bishops “for a gentle and kind interpretation” of Traditionis Custodes, reminding them that people who love the TLM “need a shepherd’s care.”

Even if the document suggests that they be shuffled off to the margins, I beg you not to do it,” he said.

This is a vibrant and growing section of the flock. Many young families and young adults, as well as young priests and older folks, are depending on you to do what is truly pastoral.”

Msgr. Pope then reached out to Francis, saying, “Dear Holy Father, I beg you to reconsider what you have written and to hear the unnecessary pain you have caused. You rightly desire unity in the Church, but I fear that, by this action, you may end up causing far more serious division.”

Monsignor Pope’s defense of traditional Catholics and the TLM is one of many recent statements made by other churchmen, including Bishop Schneider and Archbishop Viganò, who recognize the wrongs inflicted on the traditional liturgy by Rome.

Groundbreaking documentary warns parents about ‘the rush to reassign gender’ in kids

'Trans Mission: What’s the Rush to Reassign Gender?' aims to educate parents on the underlying roots of gender dysphoria, as well as the irreversible harm of ‘gender transition’

Jennifer Lahl, President of the Center for Bioethics and Culture, produced a groundbreaking new documentary on the rush to commit children to a lifetime of irreversible gender 'treatments'

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A powerful new documentary on transgenderism cautions parents to think twice before consenting to a child’s gender “transition.”

“I think [transgenderism] is a horror because we’re experimenting on children. This is medical experimentation,” Jennifer Lahl, a longtime pediatric critical care nurse, told LifeSiteNews.

“We’re allowing children with their parents’ permission to do things with their body that we have no idea what the short and long term harms are going to be,” said Lahl.

As founder and President of the Center for Bioethics and Culture, Lahl created the documentary Trans Mission: What’s the Rush to Reassign Gender?, which features interviews with pediatricians, pediatric endocrinologists, parents, and men and women who regret the irreversible changes from attempted gender "change.”

The film discusses common contributing factors to gender dysphoria, making the case that the desire to change one’s sex is often a coping mechanism that ignores the root psychological causes of the dysphoria.

“When we’re speaking of rapid onset gender dysphoria, [there is] overwhelming probability that there was something messy going on in the family, a bad divorce or something like that,” Andre Van Mol, M.D., a board certified family physician, explained in the film.

As Van Mol speaks, a list of potential causes and contributing factors to gender dysphoria is displayed, including sexual trauma, autism, immersion in transgender culture, being bullied for not conforming to gender stereotypes, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“There’s those kind of underlying issues that need to be dealt with. And the understanding was that since they’re tied together... support toward helping those mental health issues, overcoming the traumas, the adverse childhood events, helping family dynamics – that when you help to correct those, you will also be helping to correct the gender dysphoria. That’s the idea of watchful waiting.”

Lahl explained to LifeSite, “What doctors owe these families is to do a good assessment: What’s going on in the home? What’s going on in the school? Is this child being bullied?”

Lahl said the film also addresses the desire to change gender as a way to cope with the “rough time” of puberty.

“Now we deal with this natural thing called puberty, this awkwardness that sometimes we go through, and say, ‘well there’s something wrong with you, you’re born in the wrong body. So we’re going to allow you to medically and surgically transition your sex.’”

The consequences of attempting gender “transition,” the film reveals, can be far more serious than many parents realize.

One anonymous parent explained that her daughter suffered brain damage as a result of her hormone therapy:

My daughter was on testosterone for four and a half months and it did a lot of damage to her brain. Because she had some underlying issues, she should never have even been prescribed testosterone. So she has a lot of memory problems now and that really bothers her.

The film also highlights testimonies from a man and a woman who regret their attempts to change their gender. The woman, who remains anonymous, described her desire to become a man as a way to dissociate from past traumas.

In addition, the documentary touches on the lawsuit of a young woman from the U.K., Keira Bell, who sued an NHS gender clinic for not “challenging” her more over her desire to “become” a male at age 15. She was suffering from severe depression and anxiety at the time, and came to deeply regret her decision, and the irreversible procedures she underwent.

“She won the lawsuit in the highest courts of the United Kingdom,” explained Lahl. “As those voices kind of mount and there’s more and more of those de-transitioners speaking out, I think that the medical community and the insurance providers who are covering this as a ‘treatment’ are going to be put on notice and there’s going to be some serious lawsuits.”

Lahl told LifeSiteNews that the film’s ultimate goal is “to get people to stop and pause” before deciding to transition or facilitate their child’s transition.

“What I’m hoping is, that we can have a good public debate about this, that we can better understand what we’re doing as it relates to children. And maybe we don’t want to do things that are permanent and irreversible.”

The documentary film is currently available to view for free on YouTube.

Lahl also directed and produced Breeders: A Subclass of Women?, a documentary examining the surrogacy industry; directed Anonymous Father’s Day, about the deep longing of donor-conceived people to know where they came from; and produced Eggsploitation, about the infertility industry and its coercive tactics to harvest eggs from young women.

More and more ex-transgenders are speaking out about the harms of “transition” and how the medical professionals they saw rushed them into hormones and genital-altering surgeries.

Abigail Shrier, author of Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, recently wrote a lengthy article in City Journal titled When the State Comes for Your Kids. She interviewed a number of parents whose children were pushed toward transgenderism by hospital staff (usually during an adolescent mental health crisis) and workers at “youth shelters.” The transgender contagion is a major threat to parental rights, she concluded.

Scientist sounds alarm: COVID vaccines producing symptoms of Parkinson’s, other neurodegenerative disorders

Immunologist and former NIH scientist J. Bart Classen analyzed data on COVID vaccine adverse events reported to the UK’s Yellow Card system and found thousands of reports of multiple symptoms that are “clear signals” of neurodegenerative disorders.

July 22, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – As cases pile up (445 as of July 9) of the reportedly “rare” neurological disorder Guillain-Barré syndrome in people who received a COVID vaccine — forcing the sluggish U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to add a warning label to the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) shot — scientists are issuing urgent warnings about a possible tsunami of other types of neurological injuries.

Immunologist J. Bart Classen, one-time National Institutes of Health (NIH) contract scientist and proprietor of Classen Immunotherapies, a Maryland biotechnology firm, published a paper in February outlining the potential for messenger RNA (mRNA) COVID vaccines to trigger development of prion diseases as well as other chronic diseases.

Prion or “prion-like” diseases include Alzheimer’sParkinson’samyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple system atrophy (MSA) and others. A hallmark of these neurodegenerative diseases is the formation and clustering of misfolded proteins within the nervous system.

Classen’s February conclusions were based on analysis of RNA from the Pfizer injection.

Now, Classen has published a second paper on prion disease risks that draws on actual adverse event data from the United Kingdom following vaccination with the AstraZeneca or Pfizer COVID vaccines.

These data show the risk of neurodegenerative adverse events is far from theoretical. In fact, the AstraZeneca vaccine is already producing a safety signal for Parkinson’s disease, and the Pfizer vaccine may not be far behind.

Clear signal

Classen’s analysis focuses on roughly six months’ worth of data (through mid-June 2021) for two of the experimental COVID injections currently authorized in the U.K. — the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine that deploys genetically engineered adenoviruses and the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine reliant on lipid-encapsulated synthetic mRNA. (Due to insufficient data, Classen was not able to include the Moderna shot.)

The U.K. government’s Yellow Card adverse event reporting system organizes the data by organ system and symptom or disease.

Though both vaccines aim to spur production of coronavirus spike protein and related antibodies within the recipient, the two injections are “quite different in their composition,” according to Classen.

This might explain the first startling finding generated by Classen’s scrutiny of adverse reaction data: Thus far, the U.K. has seen 3.55 times more adverse reactions reported for the AstraZeneca injection compared to the Pfizer injection (745,965 vs. 210,168). Each AstraZeneca report describes an average of 3.63 adverse reactions versus 2.84 reactions, on average, for each Pfizer report.

This general pattern also holds true for “Nervous Disorders,” with 4.14 times as many such reactions reported for the AstraZeneca shot as for the Pfizer shot (statistically significant at the p=0.00001 level).

Within the “Nervous Disorders” category, Parkinson’s disease reactions display a “highly significant and specific increase … in the AstraZeneca reports compared to the Pfizer vaccine reports.”

The statistically significant findings include:

  • 185 reported Parkinson’s reactions following AstraZeneca vaccination versus 20 for the Pfizer injections (primarily identified through a specific symptom called “Freezing Phenomenon”)
  • 9,288 versus 937 reports of tremor (another potential Parkinson’s symptom) for AstraZeneca and Pfizer, respectively
  • 58 versus 4 reports of sleep disturbances (a hallmark symptom of a prion disease called “fatal familial insomnia”)
  • Describing these findings as a “clear signal of a specific prion disease, Parkinson’s disease,” Classen notes the findings are biologically plausible because they are consistent with what is known about the pathogenic coronavirus spike protein.

In addition, the stand-out symptoms of freezing, tremor and sleep disturbances match up to the “well accepted pathophysiology of prion disease.”

Accelerated disease process?

Ordinarily, scientists believe it takes years (or even decades) for the abnormal folding of certain proteins to produce prion disease. How, then, could Classen detect a “clear signal” for Parkinson’s disease just months after the vaccines’ rollout?

Classen offers several explanations which are not necessarily mutually exclusive. First, he suggests COVID vaccines could be accelerating disease progression in individuals who either already have subclinical prion disease or have mild prion disease that has not been properly diagnosed.

In addition, there is evidence indicating the vaccine spike protein can prompt misfolding of essential RNA/DNA binding proteins called TDP-43 and FUS and catalyze a toxic “chain reaction.”

The vaccine spike protein may also cause proteins “including [normal] prions already in cells” to form abnormal clumps (called Lewy bodies) that can result in “relatively rapid cell death.” Research has shown development of Lewy bodies in monkeys exposed to SARS-CoV-2. Notably, Lewy bodies “cause some or all of the motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.”

Precisely because the spike protein can so quickly set abnormal protein clumping into motion, Classen speculates this “could allow fairly rapid detection of prion disease after immunization.”

At the same time, Classen cautions that flawed adverse event reporting systems will likely fail to capture neurodegenerative diseases that take more time to develop. Most vaccine adverse event reports are for acute events, he says, whereas few of the adverse events that occur “years or decades after administration of a pharmaceutical are ever reported.”

Moreover, prion disease symptoms are often non-specific or overlap with other conditions, making diagnosis difficult and underreporting probable.

For these and other reasons, Classen suggests that the clinical relevance of his findings “could be logs in magnitude higher” than the Parkinson’s signal he was able to detect in the Yellow Card data.

Pfizer reactions waiting in the wings?

Classen makes a point of stating his analysis “is not intended to indicate that one COVID vaccine is safer than another in regards to prion disease.”

Classen stated:

“Imbalances in rates of reactions detected … can be explained by the striking differences in composition of the two vaccines allowing one vaccine to induce some prion diseases quicker. The AstraZeneca … vaccine may concentrate in the gastrointestinal system to a greater extent leading to faster transport of the spike protein via the vagus nerve to the brain. By contrast over the long run, the Pfizer mRNA vaccine may induce more TDP-43 and FUS to form prions and lead to more prion disease.”

Another explanation for why there may have been more adverse reactions and reports for the AstraZeneca injection versus Pfizer’s, could have to do with the number of vaccine doses of each type administered in the U.K. Classen was unable to ascertain the proportion of total doses attributable to each company. As of mid-July, however, the U.K. had ordered equal numbers of doses (100 million) from both vaccine makers.

Prion disease, Guillain-Barré and what else?

COVID shots are far from the only vaccines adversely affecting the nervous system. Among the nearly 400 adverse reactions profiled in the package inserts for U.S. childhood vaccines, symptoms considered red flags for neurological problems abound. These symptoms include dizziness, headaches, numbness, balance disorders, muscle weakness, paralysis, seizures, visual changes, disturbed sleep and tremors.

And well before COVID-19, the inserts for at least 20 other vaccines listed Guillain-Barré syndrome (a disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves) as an adverse event reported either in clinical trials or post-marketing.

Some individuals recover from the weakness, tingling and paralysis characteristic of Guillain-Barré — but in 4% to 7% of cases, the syndrome leads to death. Thus, when the FDA added its Guillain-Barré warning for the J&J COVID-19 vaccine in mid-July, the agency was grudgingly letting the world know some COVID vaccine recipients can expect serious or fatal neurological outcomes.

Nearly one-fourth (23%) of COVID vaccine recipients responding to a July Economist/YouGov survey (Table 13) reported experiencing “negative reactions to the vaccine,” adding to the cascade of evidence showing COVID injections are an unprecedented train wreck.

Was this why White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who recently urged young people to get COVID shots, slipped up and stated “these vaccines … can still kill you even if you are under the age of 27?”

As Pfizer gears up to ask for authorization to roll out its experimental injection to 5-11 year-olds, while getting a priority review from FDA for full U.S. licensure, it would behoove us to pay attention to Classen’s urgent warning about short-term and longer-term adverse neurological impacts.

As Classen states, the politicians and public health officials who are heavy-handedly pushing COVID vaccines have “a dismal record of protecting the health of the public.”

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – This great and powerful article by Professor Massimo Viglione constitutes one of the most lucid and profound comments on the ominous Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes. In sharing this important intervention, I intend to offer it to the reading and reflection of all the faithful, Catholics and also non-Catholics, so that each one can draw from it prophetic clarity and apostolic courage in the very hard war that we are all called to face, a war whose inevitable outcome will be the triumph of the Bride of Christ over the unleashing of the infernal powers.

This article by Prof. Viglione deserves wide visibility also for showing the overall vision on the simultaneous and coherent strategy and action of the deep state and the deep church. At a time when discrimination against the unvaccinated is also adopted by the Bergoglian church, it is our duty and responsibility to resist with the utmost determination, raise our voices, denouncing what is happening and revealing what is being prepared.

Dear friends of Duc in altum, Massimo Viglione has written this article after the publication of Traditionis Custodes. It is one of the most complete and lucid analyses that we have read commenting on the papal provision against the Mass of all time. In addition to a comprehensive analysis (in which the liturgical problem is joined to that of the imposition of the New World Order), I would like to draw your attention to his reflection on the question of obedience.

“They will throw you out of the synagogues” (Jn 16:2)
The hermeneutic of Cain’s envy against Abel

There have been many comments, one after the other, in these days following the official declaration of war – made by Francis himself – of the ecclesiastical hierarchy against the Holy Mass of all time. And more than one comment has revealed the not-at-all concealed contempt and the simultaneous absolute clarity of content and form that marks the Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes, written in a style and formality that is political more than theological or spiritual. It is in effect a declaration of war. It is noteworthy that there is a formal difference and also a difference in tone found in the various documents with which Paul VI, beginning in 1964, announced, planned, and implemented his liturgical reform, which was finally made official with the Apostolic Constitution Missale Romanum issued on 3 April 1969, by which the ancient Roman Rite was de facto replaced (this is the most appropriate term both from the point of view of intentions as well as facts) with the new vulgar Rite. In the Montinian documents we find, on several occasions, hypocritical but evident pain, regret, and remorse, and paradoxically the beauty and sacredness of the ancient Rite are celebrated.

In short, it is as if Montini had said: “Dear Rite of all time, I am sending you away, but you were so beautiful!”

In contrast, in the Bergoglian document, as many have noted, sarcasm and hatred for the ancient Rite shine through. A hatred such that it cannot be contained.

Naturally, Francis is not the initiator of this war, which was begun by the modernist liturgical movement (or, if you like, with Protestantism), but rather, on the official and operative level, it was Paul VI himself. Bergoglio has only – to use the strong and popular metaphor – “shot madly” in an effort to kill once and for all a mortally wounded thing that in the course of the post-conciliar decades not only did not die but returned to life, dragging along with it, with an exponential crescendo in the last 14 years, an incalculable number of faithful all over the world.

And this is the crux of the whole matter. The progressive and more convinced modernist clergy had to suffer Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio, dragged by the neck, but at the same time they constantly worked against the Mass of all time through hostile resistance by the majority of the world episcopate, which has always openly disobeyed what Summorum Pontificum established, beginning right in the years of the Ratzingerian pontificate, and then all the more so after the resignation up until today.

The hostility of the bishops meant that in the end the task of putting the Motu Proprio into action very often fell to the courage of a few priests celebrating it anyway, even without the permission of the bishop (which was specifically not necessary according to the provisions of Summorum Pontificum). Now, those bishops who have been constantly and undauntedly disobedient to the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church and one of his Motu Proprios, in the name of obedience to the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church and one of his Motu Proprios, will be able not only to continue but even to intensify their censorship, the war that is no longer hidden but is now blatant, as is in fact already happening.

But Francis has not limited himself to “shooting” the immortal victim. He wanted to take a further step, that of a fast and furious – to say nothing of monstruous – “burying alive” of the ancient rite, affirming that the new rite is the Lex Orandi of the Catholic Church. From which it should be deduced that the Mass of all time is no longer the Lex Orandi.

It is well known that Our Friend [Bergoglio] doesn’t have a clue about theology (which is a bit like saying that a doctor doesn’t have a clue about medicine, or that a blacksmith doesn’t know how to use fire and iron). The Lex Orandi of the Church, in fact, is not a “precept” of positive law voted on by a parliament or prescribed by a sovereign, which can always be retracted, changed, replaced, improved, or worsened. The Lex Orandi of the Church, furthermore, is not a specific and determined “thing” in time and space, as much as it is the collective whole of theological and spiritual norms and liturgical and pastoral practices of the entire history of the Church, from evangelical times – and specifically from Pentecost – up to today. Although it obviously lives in the present, it is however rooted in the entire past of the Church. Therefore, we are not talking here about something human – exclusively human – that the latest boss can change at his pleasure. The Lex Orandi comprises all twenty centuries of the history of the Church, and there is no man or group of men in the world who can change this twenty-century-old deposit. There is no pope, council, or episcopate that can change the Gospel, the Depositum Fidei, or the universal Magisterium of the Church. Nor can the Liturgy of all time be changed. And if it is true that the ancient Rite had an essential apostolic core that then harmonically grew over the course of the centuries, with progressive mutations (even up to Pius XII and John XXIII), it is also true that these mutations – at times more appropriate and other times less so, and sometimes perhaps not appropriate at all – have always been however harmonically structured in a continuum of Faith, Sacredness, Tradition, and Beauty.

The Montinian reform broke all this apart, improvisedly inventing a new rite adapted to the needs of the modern world and transforming the sacred Catholic Liturgy from being theocentric to being anthropocentric. From the Holy Sacrifice of the Cross repeated in an unbloody manner through the action of the sacerdos, we transitioned to the assembly of the faithful led by its “presider.” From a salvific and even exorcistic instrument, we passed to a horizontal populist gathering, susceptible to continual autocephalous and relativistic changes and adaptations that are more or less “festive” and whose supposed “value” is based on winning mass consensus, as if it were a political instrument aimed at the audience, an audience however that is progressively completely disappearing.

It is useless to continue on this path: the very results of this liturgical subversion speak to minds and hearts and cannot lie. What it is important to clarify however is the reason for this transition from Montinian hypocrisy to Bergoglian sincerity.

What has changed? The general climate has changed. It has literally turned upside down. Montini believed that in a few years no one would remember the Mass of all time. Already John Paul II, faced with the evidence that the enemy did not die at all, was constrained – he too dragged by the neck – to grant an “indult” (as if the Sacred Catholic Liturgy of all time needed to be forgiven for something in order to continue to exist) which (no one ever says this) was even more restrictive than this latest Bergoglian document, although devoid of the hatred that characterizes the latter. But above all it was the uncontainable success among the people – and in particular among young people – that the Mass of all time found after Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio that was the triggering factor for this hatred.

The “new Mass” has lost in the face of history and the evidence of the facts. The churches are empty, ever more empty; the religious orders – even, and perhaps above all, the most ancient and glorious ones – are disappearing; monasteries and convents are deserted, inhabited only by religious who are now very advanced in years, and upon whose death the doors will be shuttered; vocations are reduced to nothing; even the “otto per mille” [Italian church tax] has been cut in half, despite the obsessive cloying and pathetic third-worldesque publicity it receives; priestly vocations are scarce – everywhere we see pastors with three, four, or at times even five parishes to run. The mathematics of the Council and the “new Mass” is the most merciless thing that can exist.

But the failure is above all qualitative, from the theological, spiritual and moral point of view. Even the clergy that exists and resists is in large part openly heretical or in any case tolerant of heresy and error in the exact measure that it is intolerant towards the Tradition, no longer recognizing any objective value in the Magisterium of the Church (except for what pleases it), living instead on theological and dogmatic improvisation, and liturgical and pastoral improvisation as well, all based on doctrinal and moral relativism, accompanied by an immense flood of chatter and empty and inane slogans; nor have we even mentioned the devastating – when it is not monstruous – moral situation of a good part of this clergy.

It’s true, there are the so-called “movements” that save the situation a little. But they save it at the cost, once again, of doctrinal relativism, liturgical relativism (guitars, tambourines, entertainment, “participation”), and moral relativism (the only sin is to go against the dictates of this society: today against the vaccine; everything else is more or less permitted). Are these movements still Catholic? And in what measure and quality? If we were to analyze their fidelity with theological and doctrinal precision, how many would pass the examination?

Lex orandi, lex credenda,” the Church teaches. And in fact, the Lex Orandi of the nineteen centuries prior to Vatican II and the Montinian liturgical reform have produced one type of faith, and the fifty years following it have produced another type of faith – and another type of Catholic. “You will know them by their fruits” (Mt 7:16), the Founder of the Church taught. Exactly. The fruits of the total failure of modernism (or, if you like – for the most attentive and intelligent – the triumph of the true purposes of modernism), the fruits of the Second Vatican Council, the fruits of the post-council. Where did the hermeneutic of continuity shipwreck? It shipwrecked, along with “Mercy,” in the Hermeneutic of Hatred.

The Mass of all time, on the other hand, is the exact antithesis of all this. It is disruptive in its propagation, despite all of the constant hostility and episcopal censorship; it is sanctifying in its perfection; it is engaging precisely because it is the expression of the Eternal and Unchanging, of the Church of all time, of the theology and spirituality of all time, of the liturgy of all time, of the morality of all time. It is loved because it is divine, sacred, and hierarchically ordered, not human, “democratic” or liberal-egalitarian. It is both divine and human together, like its Founder on the day of the Last Supper.

It is loved above all by young people, both the laity who frequent it as well as among those are approaching the priesthood: while the seminaries of the new rite (the Lex Orandi of Bergoglio) are dens of heresy and apostasy (and it is better to be silent about what else…), the seminaries and novitiates of the world of Tradition overflow with vocations, both male and female, in an unstoppable stream. The explanation of this incontrovertible fact is found in the one Lex Orandi of the Catholic Church, which is the one willed by God Himself and from which no rebel may escape.

Here is the root of the hatred. It is the worldwide and multi-generational consensus against the enemy who must die, in the face of the failure of that which was supposed to bring new life and instead is withered and dying, because the lifeblood of Grace is missing.

It is hatred of kneeling girls wearing white veils, hatred of ladies with many children wearing black veils; hatred of men kneeling in prayer and recollection, perhaps with the rosary between their hands; hatred of priests in cassocks who are faithful to the doctrine and spirituality of all time; hatred of families that are large and peaceful despite the difficulties of this society; hatred of fidelity, of seriousness, of the thirst for the sacred.

It is hatred of an entire world, ever more numerous, that has not fallen – or no longer falls – into the humanistic and globalist trap of the “New Pentecost.”

At its root, that mad shooting is nothing other than a new murder of Abel by an envious Cain. And in fact, in the new Rite what is offered to God is “the fruit of the earth and the work of human hands (Cain), while in the Rite of all time what is offered is “hanc immaculatam Ostiam” (the firstborn Lamb of Abel: Gen 4:2-4).

Cain always wins momentarily through violence, but then without fail he suffers the punishment of his hatred and his envy. Abel dies momentarily, but then he lives forever in the sequela Christi.

What will happen now?

This is a more interesting and inevitable question than anyone can believe, and at many levels. Since we cannot know the future, let’s ask ourselves some fundamental questions in the meantime.

Will all the bishops obey?

It seems not. Apart from the great majority of them, who will fall in line quite willingly either because they share their boss’s hatred (almost all of them) or because they are afraid for their personal future, we think that there will be not a few of them who could also oppose the Bergoglian “machine gun,” as already appears to be happening in various cases in the USA and in France (we have little hope for the Italians, who are the most fearful and flattened as always), either because they are not hostile in principle [to the ancient rite] or else out of friendship with the various orders tied to the Mass of all time, or else perhaps – is this a vain hope? – out of a jolt of just pride in response to the humiliation, which could even be called grotesque, that they have received at the hands of this document, wherein first it says that the decision regarding the granting of permission falls to them, but then not only does it restrict every liberty of action, placing conditions on any minimal possibility of choice, but it also falls into the most blatant contradiction, affirming that in every case they must receive the permission of the Holy See!

Will everyone really obey blindly, or will some cracks start to make the system of hatred shake?

And what will happen in the so-called “traditionalist” world?

“We will see some good ones,” to use a popular expression. Without excluding historical twists. There are those who will fall, who will survive, who perhaps will benefit from it (but beware of the poisoned meatballs of the servants of the Father of Lies!). Instead, let us trust in divine Grace, so that the faithful not only remain faithful but also grow.

All this will be confirmed above all by an aspect that up until now no one has highlighted: the true goal of this multi-decade war against the Sacred Catholic Liturgy, which then is the true goal of the creation of the New Rite ex nihilo (better to say improvisedly [a tavolino], in some cave), is the dissolution of the Catholic Liturgy in itself, of every form of the Holy Sacrifice, of doctrine itself, of the Church herself in the great globalist current of the universal religion of the New World Order. Concepts like the Most Holy Trinity, the Cross, original sin, Good and Evil understood in the Christian and traditional sense, the Incarnation, the Resurrection and thus the Redemption, the Marian privileges and the very figure of the Mother of God who is the Immaculate Conception, the Eucharist and the Sacraments, Christian morality with its Ten Commandments and the Doctrine of the Universal Magisterium (defense of life, of the family, of rightly ordered sexuality in all its forms, with all the consequent condemnations of today’s follies) – all of this must disappear into the universal and monist cult of the future.

And, in this perspective, the Mass of all time is the first element that must disappear, since it is the absolute bulwark of all that they want to make disappear: it is the first obstacle to every form of ecumenism. Over time, this will inevitably involve a progressive movement closer to the Sacred Liturgy of all time by the body of the faithful who still linger in attendance at the new Rite, perhaps trying to go to those priests who celebrate it with dignity. Because in the end, sooner or later, even those priests will find themselves at the crossroads of having to choose between obedience to evil or disobedience in order to remain faithful to the Good. The comb of the Revolution, in society as in the Church, does not leave any knots: sooner or later they all fall out, if not here then there. And this will involve the search by the good ones, who are still confused, for Truth and Grace – that is, for the Mass of all time.

Those who still linger today [at the new rite], so as not to have to deal with these “questions,” following these bishops and parish priests, know that, if they want to remain truly Catholic and truly avail themselves of the Body and Blood of the Redeemer…their days are numbered. Soon, they will have to choose.

We have now touched on the central problem of this entire situation: how to behave in the face of a hierarchy that hates the True, the Good, the Beautiful, the Tradition, which fights against the one true Lex Orandi in order to impose another one that is pleasing not to God but to the prince of this world and his “controller” servants (in a certain sense, his “bishops”)?

It is the key problem of obedience, over which even in the world of Tradition a dirty game is often played, often incited not by a sincere search for what is best and for the truth but by personal wars, which have today become more acute in the face of the rift caused by health totalitarianism and vaccination.

Obedience – and this is an error that finds its deepest roots even in the pre-conciliar Church, it must be said – is not an end. It is a means of sanctification. Therefore, it is not an absolute value, but rather an instrumental one. It is a positive value, very positive, if it is ordered towards God. But if one obeys Satan, or his servants, or error, or apostasy, then obedience is no longer a good, but rather a deliberate participation in evil.

Exactly like peace. Peace – the divinity of today’s subversion – is not an end, but rather an instrument of the Good and the Just, if it is aimed at creating a good and just society. If it is ordered towards creating or favoring a society that is Satanic, malignant, erroneous, and subversive, then “peace” becomes the instrument of hell.

We must be “pleasing not to men, but to God, who tests our hearts” (1 Thess 2:4). Exactly! Therefore, whoever obeys men while being aware of facilitating evil and obstructing the Good, whoever they may be – including the ecclesiastical hierarchy, including the pope – in reality becomes an accomplice of evil, of lies, and of error.

Whoever obeys in these conditions disobeys God. “Because no slave is greater than his master” (Mt 10:24). Even Judas was part of the apostolic college. Or else he falls into hypocrisy. As if – just to give an example from academia – a Catholic traditionalist, self-erected as the dispenser and judge of the seriousness of others, would openly criticize the present pontiff for Amoris Laetitiae or this latest document, but then, as regards the submission – even obligatory submission! –  to vaccinism in itself and the acceptance of the use of human cell lines obtained from fetuses that are the victims of voluntary abortion, he would declare, in order to defend himself in the face of just and obvious general indignation, that he is obedient to what the “Sovereign Pontiff” says on this matter.

The conditio sine qua non of all seriousness lies not so much in the “tones” used (also, this is an important aspect but absolutely not primary and above all it remains subjective) but first and foremost in the doctrinal, ideal, and intellectual coherence of the Good and the Truth in their integrity, in every aspect and circumstance. In other words, we must understand whether the one who guides the Church today wishes to be a faithful servant of God or a faithful servant of the prince of this world. In the first hypothesis, obedience is due to him and obedience is the instrument of sanctification. In the second, the consequences have to be drawn out. Clearly, in respect for the norms codified by the Church and as children of the Church and also with the proper education and serenity of tone. But one must always draw out the consequences: the first concern ought to be to always follow and defend the Truth, not the cloying, obsequious, and scrupulous grovelling which is the spoiled fruit of a misunderstood Tridentinism. Neither pope nor hierarchy can be used as a referent of truth in fits and starts according to one’s personal ends.

We are in the most decisive days of human history and also of the history of the Church. All of the authors who have commented in these days invite their readers to prayer and hope. We will obviously do this too, in the full conviction that everything that is happening in these days and, more generally, since February 2020, is the unequivocal sign that the times are drawing near in which God will intervene to save His Mystical Body and humanity, as well as the order that He Himself has given to creation and to human coexistence, in the measure He wishes to give it, in the way and time of His choosing.

Let us pray; let us hope; let us keep vigil, and let us choose to be on the right side. The enemy helps us in the choice: in fact, he is always the same everywhere.

July 22, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” cover the latest COVID headlines including the U.S. Surgeon General’s push for Big Tech to crack down on so-called vaccine “misinformation,” the Rockefeller Foundation’s pledge to spend $13.5 million to fight vaccine disinformation and the White House’s plan to ask SMS carriers to monitor private texts for vaccine misinformation.

Also on tap this week is a viral Twitter thread shared by mRNA vaccine inventor Dr. Robert Malone showing the most-vaccinated countries in the world are experiencing a surge in COVID cases, while the least-vaccinated countries are not.

Mary and Polly also discuss news that vaccinated people now makeup 47% of COVID cases in Britain, the surge in COVID cases in 46 U.S. states and a CNN report that says young kids will “pay the price” if American adults don’t get vaccinated.

Here are more of this week’s highlights:

  • Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera called for a crackdown on the unvaccinated. He said those who haven’t been vaccinated for COVID shouldn’t be allowed to attend work, school or shop in-person.
  • The White House blamed a spike in COVID cases on the unvaccinated, calling it a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
  • Joe Biden said the spread of COVID misinformation on social media is “killing people.” Health officials said the country’s current spike in COVID deaths and infections is exclusively hitting unvaccinated communities. “That’s not true,” said Mary. “That’s just a falsehood, a straight-up falsehood.”
  • Kathleen Sebelius, former Obama administration Health and Human Services secretary, said unvaccinated Americans should not be allowed to work or have access to children. “It’s rabid,” said Mary. “It’s pro-discrimination, squash the unvaccinated.”
  • A Louisiana doctor said choosing vaccination is the only way to avoid death from COVID. “There’s never one solution,” said Mary. “But we know in this pandemic every solution except the vaccine has been suppressed.”
  • Pop star Olivia Rodrigo will meet Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci as part of the White House plan to push COVID vaccines.
  • U.K. officials said hundreds of thousands of children have a higher risk for COVID and should get the shot. The U.K.’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation recommends vaccinating kids 12 to 15 if they have a severe neurodisability, such as autism or epilepsy, Down’s syndrome, cancer, a severely weakened immune system, or have multiple learning disabilities. “Most of these conditions came from these shots,” said Polly. “On the inserts of vaccines like the MMR, it says to not give these shots to kids or anybody that has a weakened immune system.”
  • Children’s Health Defense lawsuit seeks to overturn a D.C. law allowing kids to be vaccinated without parents’ knowledge or consent. The District of Columbia is hiding whether or not a child has been vaccinated for COVID from the parents, said Mary. “This is illegal and unconstitutional. And I do believe we’re going to win on this.”
  • The Department of Homeland Security is set to start vaccinating immigrant detainees with the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine. “It’s a predatory system,” said Mary.
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said kids can get COVID and flu vaccines at the same time. Vaccine providers are directed to give kids flu shots by the end of October, with the dog kidney (MDCK) cell-based Flucelvax quadrivalent vaccine now being recommended for children starting at age 2 and older. “People are more likely to suffer adverse events when they have combination shots,” said Mary. “We have no idea what it’s going to do to children when you give a flu vaccine at the same time as a COVID shot.”
  • pediatric infectious disease specialist said children’s viruses that disappeared during the lockdowns are back. “People are worried about the flu coming back. But for the flu, we have a safe and effective vaccine,” said Dr. Ellen Foxman, an immunologist at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
  • The Inquirer said allowing kids to go unvaccinated against HPV dooms them to grow up into cancer patients. The HPA vaccine is proven safe and effective, said the Inquirer. “That’s false information,” said Mary. “The evidence suggests many people who get Gardasil shots get cervical cancer and other cancers that are likely associated with the injections.”
  • Nearly 11,000 deaths have been reported after COVID vaccines, according to the latest data submitted to the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. “But we know there’s more than that,” said Polly.
  • Experts warn of “huge risk” as Moderna launches COVID vaccine trials for pregnant women. The CDC says the “potential risks of COVID vaccines to the pregnant person and the fetus are unknown.” Polly said, “If you’re signing up for that study, you’re taking a massive risk.” Mary said, “What we understand about the effects of these shots on fertility is bad news.”
  • Pfizer’s COVID vaccine was granted priority review for full U.S. approval. “Licensure will make it much easier for governments and schools and employers to mandate,” said Mary.
  • Business Insider reports scientists could create a single vaccine within five years that fights multiple coronaviruses. The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, co-founded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, announced up to $200 million for so-called “broadly-protective” vaccines. “It’s important to follow the money on these organizations,” said Polly. “It tends to go back to a handful of the same people.”

Do the vaccinated become a breeding ground for COVID mutations?

Viruses mutate all the time. If you have a vaccine that doesn't block infection — which is the case with COVID vaccines — the virus will mutate to evade the immune response within that person.

Story at-a-glance:

  • Based on the scientific evidence, the narrative that unvaccinated people are viral factories for more dangerous variants is false.
  • Just as antibiotics breed resistance in bacteria, vaccines put evolutionary pressure on viruses to speed up mutations and create more virulent and dangerous variants.
  • Viruses mutate all the time, and if you have a vaccine that doesn’t block infection completely, then the virus will mutate to evade the immune response within that person. That is one of the distinct features of the COVID shots — they’re not designed to block infection. They allow infection to occur and at best lessen the symptoms of that infection.
  • In an unvaccinated person, the virus does not encounter the same evolutionary pressure to mutate into something stronger. So, if SARS-CoV-2 does end up mutating into more lethal strains, then mass vaccination is the most likely driver.
  • So far, SARS-CoV-2 variants are at most 0.3% different from the original Wuhan virus. Such minor variation means the virus will not present itself as a new virus. If you’ve recovered from COVID-19, your immune system will still recognize it.

July 22, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) – Will COVID shots drive the mutation of SARS-CoV-2, creating ever more variants? Or are the mutations primarily occurring in unvaccinated people? In the video report above, The Last American Vagabond host dives into the scientific research to find out.

As noted by The Vagabond, unvaccinated Americans are actually in the majority, still, despite what you’re hearing on the news. Those saying “no” to participating in a medical gene modification experiment are not a small fringe group.

We are the majority, at just over half (51%) of the U.S. population over the age of 18, as of July 12. (More specifically, 56% have received one dose, and 49% are fully vaccinated, which for Moderna and Pfizer means having received two doses.)

Based on the scientific evidence, the narrative that unvaccinated people are viral factories for more dangerous variants is simply false. Worse, it’s the complete opposite of the truth and hides the fact that mass vaccination may be putting us all in a far direr situation than necessary.

Vaccines drive viruses to mutate

As explained in “Vaccines Are Pushing Pathogens to Evolve,” published in Quanta Magazine, “Just as antibiotics breed resistance in bacteria, vaccines can incite changes that enable diseases to escape their control.”

The article details the history of the anti-Marek’s disease vaccine for chickens, first introduced in 1970. Today, we’re on the third version of this vaccine, as within a decade, it stops working. The reason? The virus has mutated to evade the vaccine. The virus is also becoming increasingly deadly and more difficult to treat.

A 2015 paper in PLOS Biology tested the theory that vaccines are driving the mutation of the herpesvirus causing Marek’s disease in chickens. To do that, they vaccinated 100 chickens and kept 100 unvaccinated. All of the birds were then infected with varying strains of the virus. Some strains were more virulent and dangerous than others.

Over the course of the birds’ lives, the unvaccinated ones shed more of the least virulent strains into the environment, while the vaccinated ones shed more of the most virulent strains. As noted in the Quanta Magazine article:

“The findings suggest that the Marek’s vaccine encourages more dangerous viruses to proliferate. This increased virulence might then give the viruses the means to overcome birds’ vaccine-primed immune responses and sicken vaccinated flocks.”

Vaccinated people can serve as breeding ground for mutations

As noted by Reilly, before 2021, it was quite clear that vaccines push viruses to mutate into more dangerous strains. The only question was, to what extent? Now all of a sudden, we’re to believe conventional science has been wrong all along.

Here’s another example: NPR as recently as Feb. 9, reported that “vaccines can contribute to virus mutations.” NPR science correspondent Richard Harris noted:

“You may have heard that bacteria can develop resistance to antibiotics and, in a worst-case scenario, render the drugs useless. Something similar can also happen with vaccines, though, with less serious consequences.

This worry has arisen mostly in the debate over whether to delay a second vaccine shot so more people can get the first shot quickly. Paul Bieniasz, a Howard Hughes investigator at the Rockefeller University, says that gap would leave people with only partial immunity for longer than necessary.”

According to Bieniasz, partially vaccinated individuals “might serve as sort of a breeding ground for the virus to acquire new mutations.” This is the exact claim now being attributed to unvaccinated people by those who don’t understand natural selection.

It’s important to realize that viruses mutate all the time, and if you have a vaccine that doesn’t block infection completely, then the virus will mutate to evade the immune response within that person. That is one of the distinct features of the COVID shots — they’re not designed to block infection. They allow infection to occur and at best lessen the symptoms of that infection. As noted by Harris:

“This evolutionary pressure is present for any vaccine that doesn’t completely block infection … Many vaccines, apparently, including the COVID vaccines, do not completely prevent a virus from multiplying inside someone even though these vaccines do prevent serious illness.”

In short, like bacteria mutate and get stronger to survive the assault of antibacterial agents, viruses can mutate in vaccinated individuals who contract the virus, and in those, it will mutate to evade the immune system. In an unvaccinated person, on the other hand, the virus does not encounter the same evolutionary pressure to mutate into something stronger. So, if SARS-CoV-2 does end up mutating into more lethal strains, then mass vaccination is the most likely driver.

COVID variants are more similar than you think

Now, the fearmongering over variants is just that: fearmongering. So far, while some SARS-CoV-2 variants appear to spread more easily, they are also less dangerous. The Delta variantfor example, is associated with more conventional flu-like symptoms like runny nose and sore throat than the hallmark COVID-19 symptoms involving shortness of breath and loss of smell.

In an interview for the documentary “Planet Lockdown,” Michael Yeadon, Ph.D., a life science researcher and former vice-president and chief scientist at Pfizer, pointed out the fraud being perpetrated with regard to variants. He actually refers to them as “simians,” because they’re near-identical to the original. And, as such, they pose no greater threat than the original.

“It’s quite normal for RNA viruses like SARS-CoV-2, when it replicates, to make typographical errors,” Yeadon explains. “It’s got a very good error detection, error correction system so it doesn’t make too many typos, but it does make some, and those are called ‘variants’.”

“It’s really important to know that if you find the variant that’s most different from the sequence identified in Wuhan, that variance … is only 0.3% different from the original sequence.

“I’ll say it another way. If you find the most different variance, it’s 99.7% identical to the original one, and I can assure you … that amount of difference is absolutely NOT possibly able to represent itself to you as a different virus.”

Your immune system is a multifaceted system that allows your body to mount defenses against all sorts of threats. Parasites, fungi, bacteria and viruses are the main threat categories. Each of these invades and threatens you in completely different ways, and your immune system has ways of dealing with all of them, using a variety of mechanisms.

Whether you’re going to be susceptible to variants has very little to do with whether or not you have antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, because antibodies are not your primary defense against viruses, T cells are. What this means then, is that getting booster shots for different variants is not going to help, because these shots do not strengthen your T cell immunity.

The importance of T cells has been known for a long time, and their role in COVID-19 was confirmed early on in the pandemic. Scientists wanted to find out if patients who recovered from SARS-CoV-1, responsible for the SARS outbreak some 17 years ago, might have immunity against SARS-CoV-2. As it turns out, they did.

They still had memory T cells against SARS-CoV-1, and those cells also recognized SARS-CoV-2, despite being only 80% similar. Now, if a 20% difference was not enough to circumvent the immune system of these patients, why should you be concerned with a variant that is at most 0.3% different from the original SARS-CoV-2?

“When your government scientists tell you that a variant that’s 0.3% different from SARS-CoV-2 could masquerade as a new virus and be a threat to your health, you should know, and I’m telling you, they are lying,” Yeadon says.

“If they’re lying, and they are, why is the pharmaceutical industry making top-up [booster] vaccines? … There’s absolutely no possible justification for their manufacture.”

Mutations are good for vaccine business

Of course, by pushing fear of variants, vaccine makers ensure a steady supply of people willing to participate as guinea pigs in their for-profit business schemePfizer plans to ask for EUA authorization for a third COVID booster shot in August 2021, Bloomberg reports.

According to Pfizer’s head of research, Dr. Mikael Dolsten, initial data suggest a third dose of the current Pfizer shot can raise neutralizing antibody levels by anywhere from fivefold to 10-fold. The company is also working on variant-specific formulations.

Dolsten points to data from Israel, where Pfizer’s mRNA injection was used exclusively, which shows a recent uptick in breakthrough cases. This suggests protection starts to wane around the six-months mark. For now, the FDA is not recommending boosters, but that can change at any moment, and most likely will.

Pfizer recently announced it intends to raise the price on its COVID shot once the pandemic wanes, and during a recent investor conference, Pfizer’s chief financial officer Frank D’Amelio said there’s “significant opportunity” for profits once the market shifts to annual boosters.

In an April 2021 article, The Defender reported expected profits from current COVID shots and boosters in coming years:

  • Pfizer expects a minimum revenue of $15 billion to $30 billion in 2021 alone.
  • Moderna expects sales of $18.4 billion in 2021; Barclays analyst Gena Wang forecasts the company’s 2022 revenue to be somewhere around $12.2 billion and $11.4 billion in 2023.
  • Johnson & Johnson expects sales of $10 billion in 2021.

Vaccine treadmill ahead

The way things have been going, it seems inevitable that we’re facing a vaccine treadmill, where new variants will “necessitate” boosters on a regular basis. Boosters will also drive the “need” for vaccine passports to keep track of it all. As reported by The Defender:

“Annual COVID booster shots are music to the ears of investors. But some independent scientists warn that trying to outsmart the virus with booster shots designed to address the next variant could backfire, creating an endless wave of new variants, each more virulent and transmissible than the one before …

According to Rob Verkerk Ph.D., founder, scientific and executive director of Alliance for Natural Health International, variants can become more virulent and transmissible, while also including immune (or vaccine) escape mutations if we continue on the vaccine treadmill — trying to develop new vaccines that outsmart the virus.

Verkerk said ‘if we put all our eggs’ in the basket of vaccines that target the very part of the virus that is most subject to mutation, we place a selection pressure on the virus that favors the development of immune escape variants.”

Vaccinologist Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche, whose resume includes work with GSK Biologicals, Novartis Vaccines, Solvay Biologicals and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, published an open letter to the World Health Organization March 6, in which he warned that implementing a global mass vaccination campaign during the height of the pandemic could create an “uncontrollable monster” where evolutionary pressure will force the emergence of new and potentially more dangerous mutations.

“There can be no doubt that continued mass vaccination campaigns will enable new, more infectious viral variants to become increasingly dominant and ultimately result in a dramatic incline in new cases despite enhanced vaccine coverage rates. There can be no doubt either that this situation will soon lead to complete resistance of circulating variants to the current vaccines,” Bossche wrote.

Will COVID-19 shots save lives? Probably not

As noted in the BMJ paper “Will COVID-19 Vaccines Save Lives? Current Trials Aren’t Designed to Tell Us,” by associate editor Peter Doshi, while the world is betting on gene modification “vaccines” as the solution to the pandemic, the trials are not even designed to answer key questions such as whether the shots will actually save lives.

In an October 23, 2020, response to that paper, Dr. Allan Cunningham, a retired pediatrician, provided a summary of papers dating back to 1972, showing vaccines have been notoriously ineffective. In many cases, deaths have actually risen in tandem with increased vaccination rates, suggesting they may actually have a net negative effect on mortality.

Cunningham also lists studies arguing that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has exaggerated flu mortality statistics in an effort to increase uptake of the flu vaccine. They’re clearly doing the same thing with COVID-19 mortality statistics. If people had not been so misled by government authorities about the true lethality of COVID-19, half the country would not have rolled up their sleeves to take an experimental gene modification injection. As noted by Cunningham:

“2020: A 14-year study finds that influenza vaccines are associated with an 8.9% increase in the risk of all-cause mortality in elderly men … During six A/H3N2-predominant seasons their all-cause mortality increase was 16.6%! …

The unfortunate history of influenza vaccines should warn us against repeating the process with COVID-19 vaccines. Peter Doshi may be understating the case when he suggests that influenza vaccines have not saved lives. The foregoing history and other observations suggest that in whole populations over the long run seasonal flu campaigns have actually cost lives …

This idea is hard to grasp in the face of massive publicity and reports of ‘vaccine effectiveness.’ The vaccines provide modest short-term protection against seasonal flu, but the VE studies completely ignore adverse effects (e.g. high fever, seizures, narcolepsy, oculo-respiratory syndrome, Guillain-Barre syndrome) … We don’t need another vaccine treadmill that could do more harm than good.”

Natural selection will win

As we move forward, it’s really important that we not cast aside hard-won science lessons in favor of politically-driven propaganda. The propaganda is not science. Do not confuse the two.

If there’s a silver lining to this whole mess, it’s that more and more people are starting to get educated about health, biology, virology and vaccinology. These are heady topics, but to begin to tease out truth from fiction, many are now taking the time to listen to doctors and scientists who are explaining the science behind it all.

The obvious and blatant lies and propaganda and over-the-top censorship is starting to wake up tens of millions of people in the U.S. about the vaccine frauds; not only the COVID jabs but the whole lot of them. It’s getting easier by the day to tell the quacks from the real McCoy, because the truth tellers will actually explain how things work, whereas the propagandists juggle catchphrases and attack those who ask questions.

In closing, here are two more excerpts from articles detailing the inevitability of vaccines driving the mutation of viruses through natural selection. Quanta Magazine writes:

“Recent research suggests … that some pathogen populations are adapting in ways that help them survive in a vaccinated world … Just as the mammal population exploded after dinosaurs went extinct because a big niche opened up for them, some microbes have swept in to take the place of competitors eliminated by vaccines.

Immunization is also making once-rare or nonexistent genetic variants of pathogens more prevalent, presumably because vaccine-primed antibodies can’t as easily recognize and attack shape-shifters that look different from vaccine strains.

And vaccines being developed against some of the world’s wilier pathogens — malaria, HIV, anthrax — are based on strategies that could, according to evolutionary models and lab experiments, encourage pathogens to become even more dangerous. Evolutionary biologists aren’t surprised that this is happening.

A vaccine is a novel selection pressure placed on a pathogen, and if the vaccine does not eradicate its target completely, then the remaining pathogens with the greatest fitness — those able to survive, somehow, in an immunized world — will become more common.

‘If you don’t have these pathogens evolving in response to vaccines,’ said Paul Ewald, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Louisville, ‘then we really don’t understand natural selection’.”

Similarly, Alliance for Natural Health International points out:

“‘Mutants of concern’ are clearly on most of our radars. An important question is: are they growing or declining in frequency? In some countries, including ones where vaccinations have occurred at a high rate … they are increasing and have already become dominant … That should be a very large, flappy, red flag to anyone who has a reasonable grasp of evolutionary selection pressure on viruses with pathogenic capacity.

More infection — including more silent infection among asymptomatic people (even if reduced by vaccination) — provides more opportunities for mutation. If we continue to drag out the time it takes for the virus to just become another endemic component of our virosphere, there will be more opportunities and more mutations. Not dissimilar to a game of Russian roulette — so why don’t we start counting our chances?

If variants become both more transmissible and more virulent, while also including immune (or vaccine) escape mutations — all trends we are witnessing in some parts of the world — we could be in deep trouble down the road.

At the very least, we stay on the vaccine (or monoclonal antibody) treadmill, trying to develop new vaccines (or monoclonal antibody therapies) that outsmart the virus when we should know better; that the virus will continue to outsmart us if we maintain such intense selection pressure on it …

Let me throw in one more concept that is ecological in nature: herd immunity. The base equation used by government scientists that estimates around 70% of the population need to be vaccinated or exposed to the virus to achieve herd immunity is flawed.

It is predicated on a number of assumptions that don’t apply: equal mixing of populations and successful sterilization of the virus in vaccinated people and those exposed to wild virus being just two. This just isn’t the case. In the real world, the situation is much more complex than in an idealized model.

Randolph and Barreiro remind us in their review26 in the journal Immunity that ‘[e]pidemiological and immunological factors, such as population structure, variation in transmission dynamics between populations, and waning immunity, will lead to variation in the extent of indirect protection conferred by herd immunity.’

For vaccinated people, antigen-specific antibodies bind firmly to virus particles and competitively oust natural antibodies, giving vaccinated people potentially less cross-immunity to mutant variants that are more infectious and the wave of infectivity continues.”

Does Traditionis Custodes contradict the documents of Vatican II?

Pope Francis' restrictions on the traditional Mass, done in the name of 'unity,' appear to fly in the face of Vatican II, which taught that 'the variety within the Church in no way harms its unity; rather it manifests it.'

July 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – In his Letter to Bishops accompanying his Apostolic Letter Traditionis Custodes, among many things worthy of comment Pope Francis says that Pope Paul VI:

“declared that the revision of the Roman Missal, carried out in the light of ancient liturgical sources, had the goal of permitting the Church to raise up, in the variety of languages, ‘a single and identical prayer,’ that expressed her unity. This unity I intend to re-establish throughout the Church of the Roman Rite.”

This is a puzzling statement. First, “the Church of the Roman Rite” has many other liturgical books besides the standard edition of the Roman Rite. Second, the standard Roman Missal contains an enormous number of options, and hardly seems to be aiming at uniformity of prayer in the sense which seems to be intended in Pope Francis’ new letter. Third, the Second Vatican Council and the subsequent Papal Magisterium teach that liturgical uniformity is not necessary to the unity of the Church, but rather that the latter is best expressed in liturgical diversity.

On the first point, the Latin or Western Church does not have a single Missal, but a family of Rites or Uses. These include the very ancient Mozarabic Rite, celebrated in certain places in Spain, the Ambrosian Rite celebrated in Milan, and the Carthusian Rite, celebrated in Carthusian monasteries. These three Rites were revised after Vatican II. Then there are the Rites of the Dominicans, the Norbertines, and the Carmelites: these orders adopted the Roman Rite after Vatican II so there is no reformed version, but since their liturgical books were never suppressed, members of those orders can and do still celebrate them. Then there is the new Use of the Ordinariate, which includes elements of Anglican liturgical heritage, which was promulgated as recently as 2009.

Perhaps the odd phrase “the Church of the Roman Rite” is supposed to suggest that the necessary uniformity applies only to the distinction between the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms of the Roman Rite. But if uniformity is necessary for unity in a theological sense within the Roman Rite, why is it not necessary for those cousins of the Roman Rite that I have just listed, and indeed what is it about the non-Roman Rites which make it possible for them to maintain unity without uniformity?

This becomes more puzzling still in light of the second point. The Roman Missal of 1970 and subsequent editions does not direct priests to use the same words when celebrating Mass, even if they are doing so in the same language, because of its enormous number of options. Priests are frequently at liberty to use different propers (an “Optional Memorial” or Votive Mass instead of the “Ferial” Mass), and they can also choose different options for other parts of the Mass. The argument of the Letter to Bishops not only suggests that there is something problematic about the existence of the Ambrosian Rite and the Ordinariate Use, but it also suggests there is something problematic about having multiple Eucharistic Prayers.

Despite the attempt to limit the implications of the Letter’s argument that unity requires liturgical uniformity to the Roman Rite, it is a deeply disturbing idea for Orthodox Christians, including those engaged in ecumenical dialogue with the Catholic Church.

In truth, there is nothing theologically problematic about liturgical variety in itself because even quite different Rites are still expressions of a single prayer in the important theological sense: the prayer of Christ in offering himself to the Father. As Pope Paul VI expressed it, continuing the snippet quoted by the Letter, “one unique prayer will rise as an acceptable offering to our Father in heaven, through our High-Priest Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit” (Apostolic Constitution Missale Romanum 1969, Vatican website translation).

This brings me to the third point: the teaching of Vatican II. Consider its document Sacrosanctum Concilium (4): “holy Mother Church holds all lawfully acknowledged rites to be of equal right and dignity; that she wishes to preserve them in the future and to foster them in every way.”

Again (37): “Even in the liturgy, the Church has no wish to impose a rigid uniformity in matters which do not implicate the faith or the good of the whole community.”

Another document of Vatican II, Orientalium Ecclesiarum (2), affirms that “the variety within the Church in no way harms its unity; rather it manifests it”, and this idea has been reiterated in the later Magisterium. For example, Pope John Paul II explained that “we find the strength and enthusiasm to intensify the quest for harmony in that genuine plurality of forms which remains the Church’s ideal” (Orientale Lumen (1995) 2).

The Catholic Church is bigger than the Roman Rite, and the Roman Rite is bigger than just one set of words. It is ironic that all the ancient Roman Rites and Usages in use today, despite their other differences, all have the same Eucharistic Prayer, in Latin, showing their unity not only across space but also across the generations, connecting us with the earliest Latin liturgy of Rome. This symbolic unity does not exist in the reformed Missal, which the Letter apparently wants to make the basis of a sterile liturgical uniformity.
