Tell Congress to stop the Biden administration from funding wars in Ukraine and Israel
(LifeSiteNews) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the U.S. Congress to sell the war on Iran was immediately followed by assassinations, airstrikes on the civilian center of Beirut, and reports of the most horrific torture of Palestinian captives – perhaps ever to be published.
All this is according to Alastair Crooke, “a retired ranking figure in both British intelligence (MI6) and European Union diplomacy.” He states that Netanyahu’s actions have had the primary goal of maneuvering the U.S. behind the latest of its many Middle Eastern wars it is desperate to provoke.
Crooke explains through his personal experience and connections how the Israeli leader has misled the American public, deceived the U.S. president, and set the stage for a conflict which could easily trigger global – and nuclear – war. He argues that a recent event used to shock Congress into applauding his overture to war with Iran was not intentional – but an accident.
Netanyahu shocked Congress with news of an attack which left 11 Israeli children dead. This, he said, was proof of the danger Iran presents to the world. The prime minister said Hezbollah, a close ally of Iran, was responsible for sending a missile into a play area in a town in the occupied Golan Heights on the northern border of Israel.
Yet other reports say the rocket that struck the football ground in Majdal Shams was a misfire – which could have come from Israel’s own Iron Dome.
In Western media, everything Israel does is usually justified. According to Wikipedia and others, it has conducted at least 2,700 assassinations in its short history, more than any other nation. Israel always pleads the victim, demanding multi-billion dollar help for its “self-defense.” How can this be the opposite of the case?
The strike on Majdal Shams was used by Netanyahu to argue Israel’s children were being killed by Iranian-backed Hezbollah. This claim is as false as the atrocity propaganda he manufactured to shock Joe Biden, Antony Blinken – and the world – with claims of the burning and beheading of babies, for which Israeli media investigations found no evidence in the communities in which they were alleged to have taken place.
Majdal Shams is a Syrian town; the residents identify as Syrians. They are Druze, not Jewish. They are occupied by Israel. They are not Israeli citizens.
The Israelis released a video claiming the tragic deaths of these children as evidence of the barbarism of Iran and its proxies.
Yet when the Israelis appeared for a photo opportunity, the residents of Majdal Shams accused them of responsibility for the killings and chased them out of town.
Crooke explains that the masterclass in manipulation given by Netanyahu is always partnered with the “willful blindness” of the West, which permits Israel’s routine commission of crimes so horrendous they would extinguish all public sympathy if they were widely known.
Congress was played a blinder on by Netanyahu, whose Chabad-Lubavitch coalition partners, says Crooke, believe “a giant war, or Armageddon,” and building of the Third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem on the site of the Al Aqsa Mosque, “will usher in the arrival of their ‘messiah.’”
This is not Christ. This is not the second coming.
This is just how the U.S. government was sold on Armageddon. Reports now alarmingly show a “flood” of U.S. troops into the region.
The plan and the surprise
Netanyahu, together with intense lobbying by Washington’s powerful Zionist lobby groups, has urged Congress to attack Iran since at least 2002. His first wish, the war on Iraq, following his presentation of fake Israeli intelligence reports to Washington, was granted the following year. His second – on Libya, came nine years later. His third wish for a war with Iran seems not to have been wasted.
Yet there are still sane people in the U.S. who would resist such a reckless and unforced error. Iran presents no threat to the United States, argues Crooke. It has shown exceptional restraint in agreeing to a calibrated response to the assassination of a senior general by Israel, in the Iranian consular compound in Syria last April, he says.
Why would the United States pursue a massive war at Israel’s behest, in a time of strategic weakness and economic crisis? Its political culture is captive to that of Israel, as Colonel Douglas Macgregor and others such as Thomas Friedman and Max Blumenthal have noted for many years. What is the political culture of Israel? It is, according to this report, “insane.”
This restraint was agreed with the U.S. through diplomatic back-channels and reported by the Financial Times as such. The targeted assassination of a top military official was a deliberate provocation, and to do so on diplomatic premises is against international law.
Israel’s reply to this symbolic strike, which was intended to convey a message of capability, was to calibrate its response – to the results of its own provocation – with the U.S.
The man at the center of the calibration is reputed to be William Burns, the CIA chief. He appears to be the last man of reason in the U.S. government, and Israel’s latest round of provocations has seen to his exclusion. Iran has said it will no longer accept this diplomatic mediation of its response.
Mercifully, the latest reports via Hungary’s foreign ministry give hope that Iran will nevertheless seek to avoid actions which will trigger a large-scale war.
The U.S. Congress was dragged over the line to endorsing this war by a tragic accident dramatized into a crisis by the Israelis. This was the death of eleven children in Majdal Shams.
Netanyahu told U.S. officials this attack, killing Israeli children, cried out for vengeance. He linked this outrage to all the others, excusing his own actions from a caricature of pure evil. This he called Iran, and the sale was made. He had the temerity to invoke the blessing of God as he pushed the United States Congress toward a war in the service of armageddonists, eager to summon their anti-Christian “Moshiach” or messiah.
The father of these lies, as already noted, is that this was an attack by Hezbollah, backed by Iran on Druze children. The Golan Heights, in which Majdal Shams is situated, was annexed from Syria in 1981, after a military occupation which began in 1967.
The children were most likely killed by a misfired missile, said Crooke, adding that many misfires had occurred before. Iron Dome missiles struck Tel Aviv in November 2023, and have even struck the house of an Israeli settler in the same month.
Crooke argues that “it makes no sense at all” that Hezbollah, Iran’s partner, would intentionally slaughter the kind of people who refuse the Israeli citizenship offered by their occupiers. The Druze have their own flag, and retain their Syrian identity, says Crooke. At the funeral for the victims, attended by Israeli ministers, protesters screamed “Get out of here, you criminal – we don’t want you in the Golan,” to the Zionist extremist National Security Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
As AA reported on July 28, citing Israeli media:
According to the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, the Druze Authorities Forum sent a letter to Israeli government ministers requesting them not to attend the funeral.
‘Do not come. Given the sensitivity of the situation, we ask not to turn this massacre into a political event. We demand a quiet religious funeral according to Druze customs,’ read the letter.
U.S. reports claimed the missile was of Iranian manufacture. Yet Crooke maintains this senseless act is most likely a tragic accident, a matter of collateral damage exploited for maximum gain.
As a result, Netanyahu could once again move hearts and minds with dubious tales of atrocity, in order to commit the Western world to his war.
Lawrence Wilkerson, a former top-ranking U.S. official and former assistant to General Colin Powell has recently stated, “I never, ever believe Israeli figures. The Israelis are patent liars. Let me say that again: They are liars.”
The first casualty of war
The truth is shepherded away from the cameras and the commentary. This is normal in times of war, and in the times that lead to them.
This is a profoundly serious moment for the United States and the world. The Iranians are all but allies of the Russians. Two months ago, the Russians warned they would begin arming the enemies of the U.S., just as the U.S. and the Europeans arm Ukraine against Russia.
Everywhere it is practiced, the sponsorship and provocation of war leads to escalation and brinkmanship. The globalist-liberal system led by the U.S. is deliberately unbalancing the world, its every move intended to give peace no chance.
Did the Russians mean what they said? Heavy lift Russian aircraft have landed repeatedly in Tehran, bringing advanced electronic warfare to the Iranians. This digital blackout technology, says Alastair Crooke, has been shown to render U.S. warships, missiles, and mobile armaments unusable.
Yet the threat does not end with Russian capability – nor with its very likely involvement. The silent threat, because the Western media is always silencing it – is from Israel itself.
Israel has since 1961 been developing its stolen nuclear weapons program in secret. It was condemned by Kennedy for this, whose head mysteriously exploded following a two-year “Battle of the letters” with the Israelis which ended with an ultimatum: submit to U.S. inspection of the nuclear program or U.S. support will end.
Kennedy was furious about the stealing of US nuclear secrets and materials and the subsequent illegal development of weapons of mass destruction by Israel, facilitated by a huge spy network in the U.S., which he knew would unbalance – and destabilize – the entire world.
And it has.
What is more, Israel’s doctrine is to launch these nuclear weapons, rather than negotiate, if it considers itself facing military defeat – under the so-called “Samson Option.” This war with Iran presents the real chance of such a defeat. It means the U.S. Congress has just been shanghaied into a nightmare with a low nuclear threshold.
If this sounds like alarmism, then it is because the theatre is about to burn down.
In the illegal 1973 Arab-Israeli war, during which America’s Israeli “allie” almost sank the USS Liberty, a large US intelligence-gathering ship with a few hundred sailors, Israel’s army chief Moshe Dayan told his generals, and Israeli leader Golda Meir, that “the third temple will fall.”
The apocalyptic coding of the looming defeat of Israel on the battlefield was apt. Meir ordered Israel’s limited nuclear weapons to be mobilized, ready for use. Whether to secure victory or universal defeat, Israel readied itself to use weapons of mass destruction.
The unlimited spite of the Israeli state is etched into its national security strategy. If we go down, it says, because of what we have provoked, then we will take the whole world with us.
U.S. intervention helped to restore Israeli confidence in its own future. Armageddon could wait. Then again, in 1991, after six Scud missiles landed in Israel from Iraq, truck-launched nuclear missiles were mobilized in a second warning and threat to the United States.
Some call this nuclear blackmail. A former commissioner of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission criticized the U.S. government in 2023 for its “silence” over the Israeli nuclear threat. Numerous Zionists in high positions in the US government, and others in situations of great wealth, have astonishing influence over US government and especially foreign policies.
In the past months, the armageddonists of Israel have called for the use of nuclear weapons in Gaza. Extreme neocon Lindsey Graham has, of course, supported the notion, recklessly suggesting the U.S. “nuke Gaza.” The Israelis now refuse to rule out the use of “limited” nuclear weapons on Lebanon, which they have considered doing since 2010 at least.
The invitation to war was written on a bloody lie. It was followed by the assassination of the political, not military head of Hamas, and its chief peace negotiator in the middle of still ongoing negotiations with Israel, who was in the Iranian capital city.
This gave away in the most emphatic, callous evidence possible that Netanyahu is not sincerely interested in coming to any peace agreement with Hamas, as many have charged. Netanyahu and his allies have repeatedly claimed that it has been the Palestinians who have not wanted to negotiate a peace agreement when in fact they have many times been open to it. Most in the West have fallen for the lie.
The Israeli Parliament has openly condoned the sodomy with metal rods, rapes, and other barbaric tortures of Palestinian captives, and the rabbis who advise the army of the legitimacy of bombing schools and hospitals have given their stamp of approval to this horrendous crime.
Israel has bombed a civilian quarter of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, its “strike shattering diplomatic understandings.” Crooke says these attacks signal to the Iranians and their allied resistance that “Israel wants a war.”
Israel’s bombing of hospitals and schools in Gaza has intensified. It is doing everything it can to provoke a war, and now it seems it will get what it wants. This is a war it “cannot win” alone, and so it must once again drag the U.S. into the fire it is trying to start.
Netanyahu is skilled at playing the victim, and the U.S. Congress loves it when he does. Some may believe him, politics is always part performance. The sale of this war is to safeguard U.S. elected representatives from electoral backlash. “They killed kids” they will say in defense.
Who kills the most kids, you might ask? The Zionist media will tell you it is Hamas, whose repeated acceptance of peace deals is intended to be killed along with its chief peacemaker. It will now say it is Hezbollah and Iran which are provoking the coming war.
In January 2024, Al Jazeera published a list of the names of thousands of children, from newborn infants to teenagers, killed in three months of Israel’s onslaught on Gaza.
On June 1 – International Children’s Day, the names of 15,000 children killed by Israel were read aloud in Germany’s capital, Berlin.
There are two ways to invoke the deaths of children, leading to two outcomes. One is to point to the dead and say, “Enough.” The other is to use them to scream for more.
The first is hard on the heart, the second is heartless. This is the argument for life or death. Life did not carry the day in Congress. Netanyahu moved hearts and minds with his well-rehearsed sales spiel for a massive escalation of the scale of death.
This is what he needs to survive in politics while facing three outstanding criminal charges and increasing hatred from many Israelis as raucous demonstrations continue to grow in Israeli streets. Armageddon is what some of his partners in his war-criminal government want. The Congress of the United States gave him a reported 70-plus standing ovations.
It was a performance that may bring the house down on us all.
