John Smeaton

John Smeaton is the Chief executive officer of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). He has worked fulltime in the pro-life movement for more than four decades. He was educated at Salesian College, London, before going to Oxford where he graduated in English Language and Literature. He qualified as a teacher, becoming head of English at a secondary school. He is married to Josephine. He has a grown-up family and lives in north London.

US election injustice is significant. The worldwide eclipse of Catholicism is catastrophic

I hope and pray that, as a result of a just legal process, Trump proves to be the true winner in this month’s U.S. presidential election. However, the disaster of a Biden/Harris presidency for the world will be a mere tea-party in comparison with the eclipse of the Catholic Church, taking place today – as evidenced by the disgraceful and dishonest statement from the USCCB regarding Joe Biden and his running mate for the U.S. presidency.
