David Steel needs to face the horrible reality that, because of the Abortion Act 1967, Britain lags behind Northern Ireland’s glowing standards of maternal health.
'Families who are told that their baby may not live for long after birth need our full support and holistic perinatal care, but this can only be achieved if misleading and offensive language and attitudes are discontinued.'
This was the first reported use of the abortion act in Ireland and clearly, it was shown to absolutely fail both mother and baby. Abortion is not a treatment for suicidal thoughts in pregnancy.
