My Friday blog post regarding Disney’s 1968 family planning cartoon motivated me to afterwards review again the most read of all LifeSiteNews documents, “The Inherent Racism of Population Control.” (Spanish El Racismo Inherente al Control de la Poblacion)
Some commenters on the Friday post wondered what the problem was about a cartoon that appeared to be a relatively harmless one about birth control. Well, right at the beginning you see that the film was made for the Population Council. Read about the Population council in the document. Also do a LifeSiteNews search on “Population Council”. After this little exercise you will understand much better why the alarm about the cartoon. The people who commissioned it are anything but harmless towards family life.
Once again, as I experience every time I read this document, I was amazed at the revelations in it. It really should be read once every year to make sure none of its crucial history is forgotten.
I have found it difficult to convey in writing how incredibly important this lengthy, but easy to read report is. What can be said with confidence is that every pro-life person should find the time to sit down and slowly and carefully read this exceptional research paper. After doing so you will have acquired a far better understanding of the ‘big picture” that LifeSiteNews has been trying to convey in all of its reporting for the past 16 years.
All that is going in the world today makes much more sense once you have read The Inherent Racism of Population Control.”
The document was originally written as the 1999 final year thesis for one of my five sons at Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia. The thesis so impressed his professors that he was encouraged to try to have it published. Later, when he came to work at a national pro-life organization, more changes and additions were made to the thesis. It was finally published as a LifeSiteNews Special Report in 2004.
The Inherent Racism of Population Control is as relevant and eye-opening today as it was in 2004. It is especially interesting to learn the names of the persons and organizations historically behind what has now actually become a de-population movement, in some cases seriously calling for a 90% reduction (yes, you read that right) in the world’s current population.
Pro-life and pro-family people have been handicapped in trying to oppose an enemy that they do not know. After reading this document, you will realize how much you have not been aware of (except for those who have already been exposed to the information) and should have been told about long ago.
Of course most media and education institutions have been telling the public very little, if anything of the truths and history that are in The Inherent Racism of Population Control.
We also encourage and permit photocopying of the document for school students for class study projects as long as the source of the document is prominently noted.
