In a beautiful testimony of a mother's love for her baby, and the extraordinary skill and care of hospital staff for a baby born 3 1/2 months premature and weighing under 1.5 lbs, little Ward's dad has posted a video of vignettes showing his son's growth from the first time his mother held him at 4 days old, to his first birthday.
“A year ago from this Halloween he came home,” said Ward's dad Benjamin Scott, a photographer who works for Abercrombie & Fitch. “I made this video to commemorate his first year and how far he has come. Today happens to be his mother's birthday… so I made this as a gift to her.”
Scott also expressed his heartfelt thanks to doctors, nurses, and staff all over the world that make it their life's mission to help babies like Ward.
Scott said, “It's because of you that my son ever stood a chance to make it home!”
