(LifeSiteNews) — On March 30, 2022, Joe Biden released a presidential proclamation for the so-called “Transgender Day Of Visibility.” The proclamation stated:

The First Lady, the Vice President, the Second Gentleman, and my entire Administration see you for who you are — made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect, and support. On this day and every day, we recognize the resilience, strength, and joy of transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people. We celebrate the activism and determination that have fueled the fight for transgender equality. We acknowledge the adversity and discrimination that the transgender community continues to face across our Nation and around the world.

These days, LGBTQ representation is everywhere in the media, politics, and the big and small screen, so transgender visibility is a cultural constant. But according to Biden, the work of the transgender movement is just beginning — the pushback to the LGBT agenda must be faced, and destroyed:

In the past year, hundreds of anti-transgender bills in States were proposed across America, most of them targeting transgender kids. The onslaught has continued this year. These bills are wrong. Efforts to criminalize supportive medical care for transgender kids, to ban transgender children from playing sports, and to outlaw discussing LGBTQI+ people in schools undermine their humanity and corrode our Nation’s values.

In a recorded video, Biden added to his proclamation by condemning the “onslaught” of “anti-transgender” legislation across the country that he called “hateful” and “just wrong,” and assured the movement that he would be working to ensure equality “on the playing field” as well as “in the classroom.” How biological males dominating women’s sports means equality on the playing field (or in the swimming pool) Biden didn’t say, but he called on legislators once again to pass the radical Equality Act, which would remake American in the image of the LGBT revolution and eliminate pro-life laws across the country.

The lines Biden is reciting are obviously not his. The vast majority of his career was over long before transgenderism went mainstream, and if you’d have told, say, Sen. Joe Biden that one day he’d be championing the right of children to get sex changes, he would have laughed you off — or perhaps even gotten furious with you. But like the rest of his party, he has floated along with the cultural tides, and we are now treated to an obviously elderly man, slightly slurring his lines, repeating what the LGBT movement wants him to say. He doesn’t need to understand this new phase of the revolution. He just needs to support it.

For example, in his recorded statement Biden said this: “To parents of transgender children, affirming your child’s identity is one of the most powerful things you can do to keep them safe and healthy.” Does he know that most children grow out of gender dysphoria on their own? Is he aware of the permanent damage so-called transgender “treatments” do to developing bodies? Does he realize that tens of thousands of children are embarking on a path that will deprive them of their ability to bear children or feel sexual pleasure in the future — before they’re old enough to vote, drink, or drive?

I suspect not, but it doesn’t matter. During his presidential campaign, Biden promised both the LGBT movement and the abortion industry everything they’ve ever wanted, and the radicals he’s appointed to his administration are working hard to deliver. Consider, for example, this recent report from Fox News:

President Biden’s administration has released a series of documents encouraging gender-reassignment surgery and hormone treatments for minors. The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Population Affairs released a document Thursday titled “Gender Affirming Care and Young People.” The same day, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Child Traumatic Stress Network – another subset of the HHS – released a parallel document titled, “Gender-Affirming Care Is Trauma-Informed Care.”

The HHS documents describe what it calls appropriate treatments for transgender adolescents, including: “‘Top’ surgery – to create male-typical chest shape or enhance breasts;” and “‘Bottom’ surgery – surgery on genitals or reproductive organs, facial feminization or other procedures.” The NCTSN document is far longer than the brief outline provided by the OPA, but reiterates the same thought process and explanation for minors receiving alterations to their genitalia.

The document is so radical it explicitly reassures readers that the “treatments” being proposed are not, in fact, child abuse — apparently recognizing that a reasonable person reading this could conclude that they are. Joe Biden won the Democratic primaries because he was considered to be the most moderate candidate in a field of socialists and progressive radicals. But he transitioned, too — and fast. Rapid Onset Transgender Acceptance kicked in almost immediately, and now we are treated to the sight of an old man advocating brand-new theories that allow for children to get sex changes.
