(LifeSiteNews) — Even as Americans turn increasingly against transgender ideology, the LGBT movement is determined to present the public with fresh new horrors. The most recent comes in the form of a dystopian image posted by the Maine State Breastfeeding Coalition of a burly, bearded, tattooed man with a nose-ring for “National Breastfeeding Month” on Instagram.

The image reads “National Breastfeeding Month: Celebrating trans lactation, two-spirit, & chestfeeding.” The caption: “National Breastfeeding Month is for every family. We’re proud to celebrate and uplift trans lactation, chestfeeding, and Two-Spirit families during National Breastfeeding Month.”

“Every family deserves affirming, respectful, and evidence-based care,” they continued. “Creating inclusive spaces means recognizing that parents use different words to describe their feeding journeys, and honoring each person’s identity and lived experience. Milk makes families, and every family belongs.”

Translation of that sinister gobbledygook is unfortunately necessary (feel free to stop reading if queasiness sets in). “Trans lactation” refers to men identifying as women attempting to produce milk from their mammary glands via estrogen or progesterone treatments or nipple stimulation in order to “chestfeed” babies. Trans-identifying men attempting this sometimes take galactagogues (milk-promoting drugs).

As a 2018 report in the journal Transgender Health put it:

A 30-year-old transgender woman who had been receiving feminizing hormone therapy for the past 6 years presented to our clinic with the goal of being able to breastfeed her adopted infant. After implementing a regimen of domperidone, estradiol, progesterone, and breast pumping, she was able to achieve sufficient breast milk volume to be the sole source of nourishment for her child for 6 weeks. This case illustrates that, in some circumstances, modest but functional lactation can be induced in transgender women.

In case that isn’t clear, men who identify as women cannot get pregnant. But activist Frankenstein physicians have embarked on attempts to drug men who identify as women in order to assist in faux milk production so that they can breastfeed adopted children. This is something that the Maine State Breastfeeding Coalition (MSBC) “celebrates,” “uplifts,” and “honors,” because “milk makes families,” whatever that is supposed to mean.

This is obviously grotesque, but the MSBC has a handy FAQ for those who have any doubts or instinctive, visceral revulsion. “Inducing lactation in transgender women is very similar to inducing lactation in cisgender women,” they explained. “While there are transgender women who have successfully established a milk supply, the amount produced varies from woman to woman.” A “cisgender woman” is what LGBT activists call women. A “transgender woman” is what they call men identifying as women.

“Currently, not much evidence exists as to the safety of taking testosterone while chestfeeding,” the MSBC continued. “The studies that do exist show that taking testosterone (either via cream, gel, orally, or injection) does pass into human milk in low levels, but this low amount does not adversely affect the baby or increase the levels of testosterone in the baby’s blood. It is currently considered safe to chestfeed while on testosterone.”

In fact, the MSBC encourages it: “It is important to know that inducing lactation can take a lot of time and energy, but it is worth it for many families.” Why? Because “non-birthing parents,” even male parents, might want to bond with adopted children by “trans lactation.”

The FAQs also answer other questions such as:

  • “Can I chestfeed after top-surgery?” (This refers to surgical removal of the breasts.)
  • “Can I chestfeed while binding?” (This refers to a trans-identifying woman binding her breasts to flatten them and “present” as male.)
  • “Can I breastfeed or chestfeed if I have never given birth?” (“Yes!” is the answer.)
  • “Can I chestfeed while on testosterone?” (Also “yes,” according to the MBC.)

Fortunately, the response to this post has largely been unmitigated horror online. Trans activists are not merely demanding rights. They are initiating a full-scale assault on the most fundamental human experiences—something the MSBC has highlighted once again.
