(LifeSiteNews) — LifeSite is privileged to be the first outlet to provide an extended, exclusive interview with pro-life hero Lauren Handy on today’s episode of The John-Henry Westen Show.

Along with eight other brave souls, Handy is facing up to 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and $350,000 in fines for leading a “traditional rescue” at a Washington, D.C., abortion mill in October 2020. The FBI raided their homes and arrested them on Wednesday.

Handy has also been the talk of the pro-life community after she, along with activist Terrisa Bukovinac, went to the same clinic to conduct a Pink Rose Rescue on Friday, two days after Handy’s indictment. Bukovinac told me that they uncovered over 113 unborn children, with five of them deemed “extremely late term.” The graphic photos of those five infants were posted by Live Action and across social media. (Warning: The contents may be very upsetting or distressing to some viewers.)

D.C. police found the remains of those five babies at Handy’s residence, but she has explained, in this interview and elsewhere, that she is working on getting them a proper burial. Unfortunately, the D.C. police have said that they’re not going to investigate these late-term abortions.

Bukovinac clarified that she and Handy have “acted with the utmost urgency with this situation and respect for the remains of these unborn children,” and Handy told me that the unpacking of those 113 fetal remains was the “most soul-crushing experience” she’s ever had in her life.

“I kept saying to myself, ‘I’m sorry, baby. I’m sorry. I love you,’” she said. “It’s by far the most soul-crushing experience I’ve ever had in my life, and I know what abortion does. I’ve already dedicated my life to helping these babies, but I have never seen such horror, such violence, such hatred for our fellow man. And I can’t unsee it. And it’s haunted me every second of the day since that moment.”

It’s an emotionally gripping, heartbreaking one-hour interview. Listen to it in full below:
