(LifeSiteNews) — In those jurisdictions still under the thrall of transgender ideology, girls and women are forced to play sports against trans-identifying boys and men — or not play at all. Many hesitate to speak out for fear of being dismissed from their teams or attacked by LGBT activists and the press. And in Australia, some are being muzzled entirely.
“Women in one of the top football leagues in Sydney, Australia have been banned from protesting against a ‘trans-inclusive’ team that has been known to have up to 5 male players,” Reduxx reported on April 29. “The women of the Northern Suburbs Football Association were reportedly forced to sign an agreement that explicitly barred them from forfeiting matches against the Flying Bats LGBTQIA+ club.”
As I reported at LifeSiteNews in 2024, the Flying Bats had an undefeated season in Women’s Premier League competition, winning 16 straight matches — but six of those victories were due to other teams simply forfeiting games, including two semifinal games. The sport’s governing bodies tried to threaten punishment for teams forfeiting over trans-identifying players, but the threat didn’t work on many female players who didn’t want to take the field against men.
Flying Bats players have been accused of severely injuring a number of female players, including one woman who got a badly broken leg after being tackled by a male player. Some injuries were purportedly career-ending; dozens of female players opted to forgo the sport entirely rather than risk severe injury.
The Flying Bats, described on their website as “the biggest LGBTQIA+ women’s and non-binary football club in the world,” is understandably eager to avoid situations like this again. When female players forfeit games, the victory is understandably hollow (although they still won the cash prize at the end of their undefeated season). Measures were taken to reduce scrutiny of their male players, with cameras banned by security during the previous final.
Now, however, they are taking a different tack to suppress the debate.
According to Reduxx, a new women’s league system was created for Sydney in December 2025, with mergers creating two new top leagues — the Women’s Super League, and the Women’s Premier League, with the leagues made up of 14 teams. The Northern Suburbs Football Association “appears to have responsibility for the Super League, with the NWSFA administering the Premier League, and on April 29, “it was revealed by a whistleblower who contacted Ben Fordham of 2GB radio in Sydney, that the NSFA has made all players in the Super League sign a disturbing agreement.”
The whistleblower statement was anonymous for fears of reprisal by the NSFA league president and read in part: “The agreements state that teams will not forfeit playing the Flying Bats, who have male-born players. This does not sit well with me.”
In short, due to the public embarrassment incurred by public backlash to the Flying Bats’ male players, the injuries done to opposing female players, and their string of victories that included a half a dozen forfeits, sports authorities are trying to crack down by making participation in games opposing males part of the price of entry. Either you play men and risk your safety, or you don’t play. As for those women who suffered injuries? They are merely collateral damage in the transgender revolution.
