On Thursday, concerned activists notified LifeSiteNews.com that Planned Parenthood was holding a rally, headlined by organization president Cecile Richards, at a location that appeared to be a Roman Catholic Church.

After placing calls to both the offices of the Archdiocese of Denver at the parish that shares the name of the location at which the event was being held, LifeSiteNews.com discovered that the building was sold a number of years ago to a college campus and was no longer a functioning parish.

Perhaps it was Planned Parenthood’s intention to confuse and scandalize rally participants and convince unwitting observers that Planned Parenthood’s agenda is compatible with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Whatever the reasons for the choice of venue, rest assure that the event was not held with the support of any Catholic hierarchy.

In the end, the scandal was minimized by the fact that fewer than 100 people showed up to hear the influential Cecile Richards speak, although Planned Parenthood volunteers made efforts to recruit passers-by to enter the building.
