(Liberty Counsel) — The U.S. Senate buried a provision in a bill designed to spy on you and exert ultimate control over your freedom.

Imagine waking up one morning to discover that the government can track every dollar that you spend.

Every grocery purchase. Every political donation. Every church tithe.

That is the dangerous reality that Americans could face under a Central Bank Digital Currency — also known as a CBDC or “programmable digital dollars.”

The U.S. Senate sneaked a provision into Section 1001 of the Affordable Housing bill that would allow the government to issue a CBDC!

We must stop this bill!

Everyone who faxes Congress today will receive a printed copy of our book Marxist Money: CBDCs and the Theft of Freedom.

The information in this book is so crucially important that I will send a printed copy to every person who faxes Congress on this issue today.

Supporters claim a CBDC would be “convenient.” But Americans already have countless ways to pay digitally — even across borders — through banks, debit cards, credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and other private services.

So why does the federal government want its own digital currency?

Because a CBDC would give Washington unprecedented power over the American people.

Unlike cash, a CBDC could allow government officials and central banks to monitor, track, and control your financial activity in real time.

Your money could become programmable — meaning authorities could restrict certain purchases, freeze accounts, or punish individuals for political dissent.

This is not paranoia. Around the world, authoritarian governments are already using digital surveillance systems to monitor citizens and silence opposition, including and especially in Communist China.

Americans should never accept a financial system where bureaucrats can decide when, where, or how you are allowed to spend your own money.

Cash protects freedom because it protects privacy. A CBDC destroys both.

There are also massive cybersecurity risks. A centralized digital currency system would become one of the largest hacking targets on Earth. One successful cyberattack could disrupt access to money for millions of Americans overnight.

Our nation was founded on the principle that government power must be limited. A CBDC moves America in the opposite direction — toward centralized control, financial surveillance, and reduced personal liberty.

Congress must hear from Americans who still believe in freedom.

We must STOP the Senate’s sneaky backdoor CBDC scheme in its tracks and permanently ban the creation of a government-controlled digital dollar before this dangerous system becomes reality.

If we remain silent today, five years from now, when the Senate measure goes into effect, we will wake up in a country where every financial decision is monitored and controlled by the federal government.

Americans cannot afford to ignore this threat.

To preserve America’s precious liberty, we must stop CBDCs.
