(LifeSiteNews) – The Bishops of Ukraine have just asked the Pope for the consecration of Russia. This is huge news. It is the most important news we have seen in decades. This is so significant because mankind was given a heavenly warning in 1917 that the only means of peace coming to this world is the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Sister Lucy warned that Russia would be the instrument of punishment of this sinful world. Today the Russian foreign minister warned that World War Three would be “nuclear and destructive.”

There is a lot to cover here but I’m going to try to condense it as much as possible. First off, I want to read you the letter from the Bishops of Ukraine to Pope Francis. They say:

In these hours of immeasurable pain and terrible ordeal for our people, we, the bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Ukraine, are spokesmen for the unceasing and heartfelt prayer, supported by our priests and consecrated persons, which comes to us from all Christian people to dedicate Your Holiness our Motherland and Russia.

Responding to this prayer, we humbly ask Your Holiness to publicly perform the act of consecration to the Sacred Immaculate Heart of Mary of Ukraine and Russia, as requested by the Blessed Virgin in Fatima.

May the Mother of God, Queen of Peace, accept our prayer: Regina pacis, ora pro nobis!

So this is their message to the Pope, historically asking for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This is the message Our Lady gave to the three children at Fatima:

You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father.

To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.

Various Nations will be annihilated, Our Lady warned. This part of the prophecy has not yet happened, but it threatens to be so in our times. Russia’s Foreign Minister Lavrov just spoke of the possibility of a world war III erupting, and said the war would be “nuclear and destructive.”

On December 26, 1957, Father Augustine Fuentes interviewed Sister Lucy at her convent in Coimbra, Portugal. Later, with an imprimatur and the approbation of the Bishop of Fatima, Father Fuentes published revelations concerning the Third Secret, revealed to him by Sister Lucy during that interview.

He recalls that Sr. Lucy said: “Tell them Father that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation.”

In February 2002, Donald McAlvany who runs an intelligence report, said that he heard that a “plan for a joint military campaign against America, waged by Russia and China was drawn up many years ago, and was told to me in 1999 by the highest ranking defector of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff, Col. Stanislav Lunev.”

“Regarding the existence of a joint Russian-Chinese military plan,” McAlvany said, “Lunev stated that on his last visit to Moscow, prior to his 1992 defection, the Russian General Staff was still committed to fighting and winning a future nuclear war against America. ‘The nuclear war plan is still on,’ they told him. ‘But there would be some changes. No longer would Russian troops be responsible for a follow-up invasion of the lower 48 states [U.S. mainland]. Russian forces would be responsible for occupying Alaska and parts of Canada.’ The Chinese would be given responsibility for occupying the lower 48.”

Naturally it is frightening to think of these things in our current circumstances in the world with the threats of actual nuclear war happening as we speak. But today Catholics around the world take up their spiritual weapons. It is Ash Wednesday. More people are fasting and praying today, praying earnestly, and remember that Our Lord said that some spirits can only be cast out by prayer and fasting.

Also the Fatima solution to world peace is the conversion of Russia, and the means of getting there was set out by Our Lady very clearly. She said: “To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays.”

The one part – the consecration of Russia by the Pope with all the world’s bishops we can only ask, hope and pray for. But our part is to make the Communion of reparation on the first Saturdays. And this coming Saturday is the first Saturday of March – so we can start right now.

It involves Mass, confession, communion, and a 5 decade rosary on Saturday, as well as fifteen minutes of meditation on the 15 traditional mysteries of the rosary. The confession can be complete within a week on either end of the first Saturday. The rest is easy, except for the 15 minute meditation which is often forgotten about and some find challenging. In order to help with that I did a 15 minute meditation on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

And finally let me address one controversy which surrounds the consecration – namely that some contest that the consecration of Russia has already been done in 1984 by Pope John Paul II. Firstly we know that Pope John Paul II wanted desperately to do it as our Lady Herself requested but was forbidden by his entourage who warned him of grave geopolitical consequences were he to single out Russia, so he consecrated the world in 1984, and not Russia specifically.

The promise of Our Lady of Russia’s conversion and a period of peace in the world resulting from the consecration have obviously not happened. If anyone believes there has been peace in the world since 1984 you must believe that Our Lady did not include peace in the womb where millions and millions and millions of innocent children have been murdered since 1984. Surely that is not heaven’s idea of peace!

At the centenary of Fatima in 2017, Cardinal Raymond Burke, speaking at the Rome Life Forum which was founded by LifeSiteNews, called the faithful to ask the Pope to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart in the manner Our Lady explicitly requested.

At the time, Bishop Athanasius Schneider enthusiastically supported this call. And now they are joined by the Bishops of Ukraine who are now keenly suffering the consequences of not fulfilling the request of heaven to explicitly consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

So let us do our part. Let us ask the Pope to consecrate Russia – there is a petition at LifeSite asking the Pope for that very thing.

Let us also make the first Saturday devotion on the first Saturday of every month starting this Saturday March 5. It is time, it is already very late. And Our Lady foretold that the consecration would happen late. Here are her own words. “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
