September 25, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — In this Episode 28 of The John-Henry Westen Show, I speak with Dr. Thomas Ward about the sexual revolution and its origins. Dr. Ward is a former member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. We discuss, among other things, Sr. Lucia, the French Revolution, pornography, family life, Pope Francis, and St. Pope John Paul II. Dr. Ward believes the revolution has entered the Church and that John Paul's teachings on the Culture of Life are “the greatest bulwark” against the sexual revolution.
Dr. Ward says that “everything hinges” on “the seperation of the procreative and unitive” nature of the marital act. “Until there is an ex cathedra statement on the moral inadmissability of this…this cascade will continue,” he said.
I asked Dr. Ward about the origins of the sexual revolution. He said it begins with the French Revolution and the thinking of Marquis de Sade. Yet today, the revolution has entered the Church thanks, in large part, to Amoris Laetitia. He told me we are living in the times spoken of by Sr. Lucia, who said the “final battle” will be over the family.
We also discuss pornography, contraception, Vatican II, Cardinal Caffarra, and Pope Francis. Dr. Ward explains, in depth, the various shocking and revolutionary statements made by the many liberal cardinals Pope Francis has surrounded himself with. He also says Catholics need to regain their hope and be “counter-revolutionary.”
