June 24, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — When homosexual NFL player Carl Nassib came out as gay this week, the media, the NFL, and even the President of the United States celebrated him as a hero, as a courageous young man “sharing his truth.”
Yet when ex-gay Milo Yiannapolous, a former flamboyant gay provocateur, announced a few days earlier that he has been chaste — “sodomy free” — for a year, and said his plan to open a reparative therapy clinic for other men who suffer from same-sex attraction is well underway, America yawned.
In America, public pronouncements about engaging in sodomy now win a hero’s welcome, while those who overcome sodomy and turn away from homosexuality are ignored and deplored.
Something has gone terribly wrong.
What is it about sodomy that these well-educated, well-off men and women admire? And why are professional sports players who disapprove, quiet? Their silence conveys the message that they too share a fondness for sodomy.
Just a handful of big-league sports teams were holding “pride” events a decade ago. In 2015, only the NFL’s New England Patriots and MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays were among 379 corporations who signed an amicus brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down all state laws against same-sex “marriage.”
However, within just a few short years, every single NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB team would be hosting “pride” events and selling “pride” shirts, hats, and other items emblazoned with rainbow enhanced team logos. Even the nascent Premiere League Lacrosse (PLL) has jumped to support LGBT “pride.”
In 2015, ESPN awarded former Olympian Bruce (a.k.a Caitlyn) Jenner the Arthur Ashe Courage award. “Caitlyn’s decision to publicly come out as a transgender woman and live as Caitlyn Jenner displayed enormous courage and self-acceptance,” claimed ESPY co-producer Maura Mandt at the time. Gender-confused Jenner accepted his award wearing a dress.
Whom has the sports world completely ignored? The legions of people like Milo Yiannopoulos who have walked away from homosexuality or transgenderism, who have repented and found true freedom in Christ.
“Homosexuality doesn’t have to last a lifetime,” explained one man recently.
These men and women are the true heroes of our age, yet professional sports leagues are no longer able to recognize true heroism or true courage. They are opportunists sacrificing young people on the twin altars of corporate greed and social justice primping and preening.
Yiannopoloulos has consecrated his life to St. Joseph, while ESPN venerates Bruce Jenner as a feminine icon.
Who are the real heroes: Those who overcome sin and confusion, or those who surrender to it?
The NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB are delivering a dangerous message to the youth of America by idealizing sodomy and gender dysphoria.
In the latest in a series of official endorsements by the GOP, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel recently issued a statement promoting so-called "pride" month and the agenda of the LGBT movement.
By forcing the LGBT agenda on the party faithful and would-be Republican voters, the RNC is seriously disrespecting their mostly conservative and Christian values.
Please SIGN this urgent petition to the RNC telling them to stop promoting the normalization of homosexual and transgender lifestyles, and the sexualization of politics in the United States.
Ever since Romney McDaniel took over as the head of the RNC in 2017, the leadership of the party has been tying itself, ever-more-closely, to this socially, morally and politically corrupt agenda, much to the dismay of the party faithful.
This is a colossal mistake for the party and society for three reasons:
- Attempting to normalize a lifestyle which is objectively disordered, is wrong and deceptive. The natural family and marriage between one man and one woman should be supported, not practices which have a decidedly destructive effect on individuals and society.
- If the party gives in to the LGBT agenda now, LGBT activists will never be satisfied. They will force the GOP to push more and more aberrant views, practices, policy and laws. That will be unhealthy for society and, ultimately, bad for the party, as people, who would otherwise support the party, will be driven away by pandering to this agenda which is based on personal, rather than societal, issues.
- By spending time and resources trying to court the LGBT community, which makes up 1-2% of the voting population, the GOP is losing opportunities to gain the support of much larger constituencies in the country, like Hispanic and Black voters, who make up 26%+ of the vote. Recent elections prove that Hispanics and Blacks can be won over to the party on economic policy and other substantive issues, rather than on identity politics.
Of course, people with homosexual inclinations must be respected, but the normalization of homosexuality (and, other sexually-confused inclinations) in society must be rejected.
Ultimately, the Republican Party should stand for the common good, not just the good of the individual based on sexual practices which do not actually benefit society. Otherwise, they will become indistinguishable from the other major party.
Please SIGN and SHARE this urgent petition which tells the GOP to stop promoting the harmful LGBT agenda and the so-called 'pride' events which endanger the innocence and morals of everyone involved.
