The Gosnell jury just wrapped up its eighth day of deliberations without reaching a verdict. Observers are naturally anxious to find out what is going to happen to the man who perpetrated the notorious “House of Horrors,” and many are beginning to wonder why it is taking the jury so long to make up its mind.
The answer? Basically because Gosnell did so many horrible things.
Today reporter JD Mullane tweeted a photo of Gosnell's “rap” sheet – that is the list of charges that he faces. All told, it completely fills fourteen sheets of paper.
Gosnell faces nearly 300 criminal charges, including four charges of first degree murder. The jury has to consider each and every one of these charges.
There's a ton of evidence to sift through. And to all apperances the jury is performing its job diligently and methodically.
So what do we do in the meantime? Pray for wisdom for the jury, and for conversion for Gosnell. And spread the truth about what happend in Gosnell's clinic so that others can learn about what Mullane has called the “inherent violence” of abortion.
