It’s great that films like Bella, October Baby, and Doonby get made. But sometimes movies have pro-life scenes, or overall pro-life messages, without even meaning to. Oops!
One of the most insidious effects of the pro-abortion mindset is how it takes the profound bond that should exist between a mother and her own child and completely perverts it, rendering the child an invader and the mother a mere “carrier” who can expel the baby at will. Some pro-abortion activists even go so far as to argue that the unborn child is a “parasite” that sucks life and nutrients from his mother while giving nothing in return. But even taken on a purely scientific level, this isn’t true. New research is highlighting the fact that not only does […]
As I wrote yesterday, since the election I’ve been pondering where we are as a nation and a world. I vacillate between thinking 1) the end of the civilization known as the United States of America is near, 2) the apocalypse is near, and 3) I’m overreacting. Why is God continuing to allow these millions of abortions – almost half a billion around the world per […]
A video making the rounds in pro-life circles claims that Planned Parenthood shows women how to cover up signs of domestic abuse. A video posted on the group’s Info for Teens Facebook page shows a woman giving make-up tips to cover up bruises, abrasions, and signs of strangulation. However, the video is actually a clever, if chilling, parody opposed to covering up domestic abuse. Planned Parenthood, which is nothing if not obsessive […]
As I indicated yesterday, I attended a summit meeting of pro-life activists and apologists in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday and Tuesday, spearheaded by Mark Harrington of Created Equal. The summit was to assess where the movement is in light of the reelection of Barack Obama, also bearing in mind the fact we’re nearing the 40 year mark of legalized abortion in the U.S. Heads of various groups from around the country and Canada gave their analyses, many via Skype, and also provided a snapshot of their plans for 2013. I was looking forward to this summit, because in my opinion […]
