Bishop Athanasius Schneider has said that a Vatican Synod on Synodality report suggesting homosexual “relationships” may not be sinful echoes the serpent in the Garden of Eden and has “crossed the line from orthodoxy into heresy.” In one of his sternest rebukes of the Vatican to date, Bishop Schneider said “the final report reveals that legitimizing homosexuality (i.e., homosexual acts, lifestyles, and homoerotic relationships) was already on the clerical agenda at Pope Francis’ first Synod on the Family.”
