Father James Altman dreamed he was a priest facing pressure from parishioners who threatened to protest and have him removed unless he changed his sermons. When he returned to celebrate Mass, the church was largely empty. The choice was stark: change the message to keep people in the pews or continue preaching the truth, even if it meant losing them all.

The dream led him to the Gospel passage where crowds abandon Jesus after He speaks difficult truths. Faithfulness to God’s truth may come at the cost of popularity and numbers. The question every Catholic must answer is whether they will remain faithful to Christ or follow human opinions, ecclesial figures, or movements that have departed from the truth.
