Cardinal Raymond Burke sat down with Michael Knowles for a wide-ranging interview on the Traditional Latin Mass, the state of the Church, and the crisis facing Catholics today. The conversation touched on the suppression of the ancient liturgy, the Vatican’s direction under Pope Leo XIV, and the challenges facing faithful Catholics who seek to preserve tradition.

Cardinal Burke defended the Latin Mass as an irreplaceable treasure of the Church, warning that its restriction is not merely a liturgical issue — it is a symptom of a deeper doctrinal crisis. He addressed the SSPX consecrations, the role of the laity, and the need for bishops to speak with clarity and courage.

Knowles pressed Cardinal Burke on the practical implications for Catholics who are increasingly marginalized for their attachment to tradition. Burke’s responses were measured but firm: The faith does not change. The Church will endure. But the faithful must remain steadfast, pray for their shepherds, and not abandon the tradition that has sustained the Church for centuries.
