GENEVA, March 18, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission which is known to be the focus of a battle over ‘sexual orientation’ will also seek to push a global right to abortion.  Pro-life lobbyists at the United Nations had been gearing up for an abortion fight at the upcoming New York meeting of the thirty-seventh session of the Commission on Population and Development, meeting at United Nations Headquarters from 22 to 26 March.  However, it appears that the abortion fight will also take place in Geneva.  The ‘right’ to ‘sexual and reproductive services’ which is known to include abortion as well as calls for legal ‘pregnancy termination’, which are characteristic of United Nations meetings on women and population are now to be raised at the Human Rights Commission.  As a result pro-life lobbyists are heading for Geneva to join the pro-family lobbyists already at work there combating the resolution on sexual orientation.
