100+ UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE PRESIDENTS ASK BUSH TO FUND EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH

WASHINGTON, Mar 27, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Over 100 university and college presidents signed a letter to HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson urging the continuation of funding into destructive research using human embryonic stem cells. The American Council on Education, the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges and the Association of American Universities were joined by the 112 college and university presidents and chancellors in the letter.
