LIFESITE, February 3, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Cardinal Newman Society reports that 42 U.S. Catholic Colleges are scheduled this year to present the vulgar play “Vagina Monologues”, which includes an approved reminiscence about a lesbian seduction of a 16-year-old girl. The Newman society also notes that according to the organizers of the “V-Day College Campaign” – a marketing ploy that encourages campus showings of the play in the form of a fundraiser to help prevent violence against women – students and faculty at 656 colleges worldwide have requested the rights to present the play in February and March The organization for Catholic university students has issued an action alert calling for those opposed to this development to contact all the Catholic colleges involved.
