SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 24 (LSN) – The US government is handing out $50,000 of taxpayers’ money to the winners of an American condom package design contest, reported American Life League (ALL) on Friday. The contest, being run by two California advertising agencies, is intended to encourage young artists to design “the coolest condom package.” The monies being used were granted by the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to ALL one of the submissions is a parody of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting of God and Adam. In this rendition, God is handing Adam a condom. The drawing includes the caption, “You Hold the Power.” Among contest participants in this endeavour to promote “safe sex” is at least one 12-year-old boy.
