TV LAND, Apr 19 ( – Last Wednesday’s “60 Minutes II” program offered a thoroughly biased 13-minute segment on Michael Bray, an anti-abortionist who refuses to condemn violence against abortionists. According to pro-lifers who reviewed the show for LifeSite, the CBS program,  carried lengthy interviews with the controversial “pastor” who while he claims to be pro-life,  is actually “pro-choice” – in that he allows for the “choice” to kill abortionists.

The show gave the pro-abortion side time to air its views but did not allow for any pro-life commentary. All pro-life groups in Canada and the vast majority of pro-life groups in the US condemn Bray’s stand, but no representatives from these groups were part of the program.

Lutherans For Life (LFL) reacted strongly to the CBS program since it portrayed Bray as a “Lutheran pastor.” “Bray does not represent Lutherans; He does not represent even a small facet of Lutherans, he is representing himself and his personal views on dealing with the atrocity of abortion,” said a press release from LFL. After condemning Bray’s actions, the group stressed the need for strong opposition to abortion including picketing, protesting,  sidewalk counselling, lobbying, crisis pregnancy help, post-abortion counselling, teaching chastity and preaching the sanctity of human life.
