MADISON, Wisconsin (LifeSiteNews) — An American bishop has expressed his disgust with Nancy Pelosi and other so-called  ‘Catholic’ politicians over their ardent support of the recently passed ‘radical pro-abortion bill.’

“With the full support of our Catholic president, our Catholic speaker of the house, and scores of Catholic representatives, the most radical pro-abortion bill was passed by the House of Representatives, ” lamented the Bishop of Madison, Donald Hying in a September 25 tweet.

“[With the politicians] claiming that any restrictions on abortion are misogyny.”

The bill, which codified Roe v. Wade and is misleadingly called the “Women’s Health Protection Act,” was passed by the House of Representatives on September 24. It “forbids states from subjecting abortion to ultrasound requirements, mandatory waiting periods, informed-consent requirements, and other health and safety rules.”

According to “Catholic” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, the bill became necessary after Texas passed the colloquially named “Heartbeat Act” that made it illegal to murder a child in utero once there is a detectable heartbeat (around six weeks after conception).

“[The Heartbeat Act is] the most extreme, dangerous abortion ban in half a century, and its purpose is to destroy Roe v. Wade, and even refuses to make exceptions for cases of rape and incest. This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade,” stated pro-abortion “Catholic” Pelosi.

“[The pro-life act] delivers catastrophe to women in Texas, particularly women of color and women from low-income communities,” she continued.

The bill, which was signed by “Catholic” President Joe Biden, also prohibits the banning of dismemberment abortions, which involve using forceps to tear apart a living child.

According to the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church, as affirmed by the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.”

The Church also states that the penalty incurred from supporting or procuring abortion is an automatic excommunication, which leaves the offender outside of communion with the Church until he or she repents.

Last Saturday was not the first time Bishop Hying has stood up for the faith and condemned the actions of pro-abortion “Catholics.”

Just days after Biden took the presidential office in this January and pledged to codify Roe v. Wade, Hying announced on Twitter that he would be praying for “a deep conversion within [Biden’s] heart to build a culture of life and respect the child in the womb.”

Additionally, on September 3, when Biden formally announced in a press conference that he rejects the Church’s infallible teaching that “life begins at conception,” Hying once again expressed his sorrow on social media over the “Catholic” president’s anti-Catholic and heretical beliefs.

“People always claimed that President Biden was personally opposed to abortion,” wrote the bishop. “Today, we’ve all learned the painful and disturbing truth.”
