LANE COUNTY, Oregon, Feb 1 (LifeSiteNews) – Euthanasia activist Derek Humphry, the founder of the Hemlock Society, has produced a how-to-kill-yourself video, which will be aired on public television in Oregon this week. The video is based on Humphry’s controversial how-to guide to suicide, “Final Exit”, which has sold more than one million copies and has been printed in   12 languages.

WorldNetDaily (WND) reported today that even pro-euthanasia groups think the television suicide promo goes too far. Barbara Coombs Lee, executive director of the Portland-based Compassion in Dying Federation, told WND, “I think it’s reckless, it can give people the means to act on impulsiveness.”  Cindy Noblitt of Eugene, co-producer of the cable program that’s airing the video, told WND,  “It is central to the tenet of individual liberty to have this right (to assisted suicide)  and to have the information to carry this out.”
