I received a note this morning with a donation from a gentleman in Miami, FL. The donation amount was $13 and the note read:
“$14 in my bank account, just enough to contribute a whopping .0001% of your goal!”
The sacrifices our donors make on a regular basis to see to the success of our mission constantly amaze me, but this donation really spoke to my heart.
Later in the day I received another phone call, this time from a donor who offered to match recurring gift donations received in the remaining few days of this campaign up to $5,000.
This donor expressed his desire to see LSN move away from our dependency on our quarterly campaigns. Recurring donations would provide more stable income necessary to do just that, and so he had spent a lot of time thinking how he could best support and help sustain our work.

These two experiences led me to an even greater appreciation and deeper understanding for those that we serve.
