DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Michigan (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-abortion activists smashed doors and windows at a Michigan pregnancy center, leaving the now well-known message,If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you.”

On Sunday, the Lennon Pregnancy Center in Dearborn Heights was targeted by pro-abortion vandals who smashed 11 windows and three glass doors in addition to spray painting pro-abortion graffiti on the walls, as reported by Detroit News 4

“I think it’s all related to Roe v. Wade coming down from the Supreme Court,” president of the board of directors for Lennon Pregnancy Center Gary Hillebrand said.

“A lot of people are upset about that and taking it out oddly enough on people like us who are trying to help the ladies who are pregnant and need help,” he added.

Hillebrand reported that the vandals smashed almost every window in the building, but the attack was unfortunately not caught on security cameras. The attack also affected a local printing business in the same building

However, despite the damage incurred, Hillebrand stressed that the pregnancy center plans to persevere in serving the community. “For our clients, I want them to know we’re still here Tuesday,”  he added. “We’re open.”

Right to Life of Michigan President Barbara Listing responded to the incident, noting, “Unfortunately, this attack is not surprising but still certainly shocking.”

“The violence and barbarity that pro-abortion groups have succumbed to must stop,” she continued. “These attacks need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

“It is critical that Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Reproductive Freedom for All coalition condemn this violence and ask their friends to not destroy resources for women,” Listing appealed.

“These organizations claim to be ‘pro-choice’ but fail to support mothers when they make the choice to continue their pregnancies,” she added.

“Pro-lifers will continue to fight for life and the violence will not deter us,” she concluded. “We are resilient and will work through any adversity that comes our way.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has refused to publicly denounce illegal protests at homes of pro-life Supreme Court justices. Her predecessor, Jen Psaki, stated that the White House  encourages “peaceful” protests “outside of judges’ homes, and that’s the president’s position.”

One protest occurred just hours after an armed man who intended to kill pro-life Justice Brett Kavanaugh was arrested outside the justice’s home.

There have been over 20 attacks on pregnancy centers across the U.S. since the draft of a Supreme Court decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked in May.
