DUBLIN, May 28, 2001 ( – Dutch abortionist Rebecca Gomperts, 34, is ready to launch her abortion ship this June and her first stop will be off the shore of Dublin, Ireland. The Sunday Times reported that the ship is equipped to carry out 20 abortions a day and “under Dutch law, can perform abortions where medically appropriate.” The Dutch pro-abortion group, the Women on Waves Foundation, has contacted pro-abortion groups in Ireland and thus received an “invitation” from the Irish groups.

Mildred Fox, an independent and pro-life Irish politician said, “If she [Gomperts] breaks the law, she will have to be dealt with . . . if she is actually carrying out abortions, you have to ask – what’s next? Can we have a ship from the Netherlands selling drugs 12 miles offshore or carrying out euthanasia?”
