VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, Aug. 17 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In an Aug. 16 release, The American Centre for Law and Justice states it is representing the parents of a 17 year old Pennsylvania student “who charge that a public school guidance counselor usurped their parental rights by coercing and facilitating an abortion for their minor daughter.” The student had expressed to the counselor her strong misgivings about an abortion. She was nevertheless eventually convinced by the counselor to accept the secret abortion arrangements which included going out of state to avoid Pennsylvania’s law requiring parental consent. The school has expressed strong support for its counselor and stated that it has “deep pockets” when the parents suggested the possibility of a lawsuit.
